"Its ok."

Collins P.O.V
The photoshoot is in the mall and of course it's really busy. I hear Devan whimper as I'm unbuckling him and I look down. "What was that for? You ok?" He doesn't answer "or help me." I notice grimly as I have to move Devans arms. Placing my hands under his armpits I scoop him up and onto my hip. Again he doesn't help.

"Dev?" I close the car door and look at his face. He doesn't look at me but is instead looking at all the people passing by with worry. "It's ok man." I tell him and stroke his hair then run to catch up with mom and dad.

We barely get anywhere when I hear "omg your Collins key!" I turn to see a group of teenagers looking at me in excitement. Feeling Devan being taken out of my arms, I turn to see mom now holding Devan. She nods at me "go ahead. We'll be in urban outfitters. If we go anywhere else we'll text you." Mom and dad walk away as Devan looks back over moms shoulder watching me.

Part of me wants to go be with my family "this is the downside of being famous, you never get to go anywhere in public with just your family. Your always interrupted." Pushing down my thoughts I turn around and smiling walk towards the fans.

Devans P.O.V
I sigh and turn back around in moms arms "he's always leaving." Dad glances sideways at me "it's ok Devan. You know that's you to right? Normally." I nod. They look at each other and mom kisses my temple. We walk into urban outfitters and I just stay in one of their arms as they pass me between each other.

"Do you want something Devan?" I look around and shake my head "no." Dad hesitates "well, if Collins isn't back soon we can go to another store and you can get something there. Does that sound good?" I nod happily.

As we're about to leave Collins walks in. "Oh, I'm sorry Devan." I shrug "it's ok. I don't need anything." I say as happily as I can even, though my spirits sink. Collins looks confused "what?" Dad looks a little guilty as he answers Collins "well I told him that if you weren't back we could go to another store and get him something...But your back and now we have to go."

Collins frowns "oh." Mom gets on her tiptoes and kisses Collins cheek "don't feel bad Collins. Maybe when we're done you both can get something. How did it go?" We walk out of the store and across the mall as Collins tells us stories about each of the fans and things he learned, just like he always does.

I notice mom and dad watching him with smiles and I look down at dad shoulder feeling slightly left out. I put my forehead on dads shoulder and sigh wrapping my arms around his neck. He rubs my back and normally I would be comforted but now I can tell he's not really paying any attention.

I want to cry. "Wow. Is this how kids feel all the time?! How are they able to not throw so many tantrums?!" I'm trying to hold back my feelings when dad stops walking and starts talking about checking in. I look up and see that we're in a store that's all white and has a small hallway. Down the hallway I see flashes of a camera. "This must be it."

Collins is looking around and I squirm in dads arms trying to get down. He sets me down and I walk over to Collins. Grabbing ahold and hugging his leg I look down the hallway. "Hey bud." Collins kneels down to my level "you ok?" I just nod and keep looking trying to see what happening.

"You sure? You've been really quiet." I don't say anything but Collins must see somethings bothering me because he says "tell me what's happening. What's bothering you?" I don't mean to tell him, but Collins always finds a way to make me feel better. "l...l feewl weft out." comes out as I look down away from him.

"Left out? Why would you feel that?" I can hear the concern in his voice and again tears threaten to fall. I shrug and suddenly Collins puts his hands under my armpits and pulls me up against his chest. "I'd never leave you out Devan, you know that." I nod and Collins shifts
me so I'm resting on his hip.

He kisses my cheek "I love you bro. I'm sorry you've been feeling like that. When did it start?" I look into his bright blue concerned eyes "when those fans saw you." He sighs in understanding "yeah, you'd usually be there with me wouldn't you?" I nod. "It was weird to be there alone ya know."

I look up at him surprised "realwy?" He nods "it just wasn't the same. I'd rather have you there with me from now on. After your ready I mean." I smile as my mood changes. Collins smiles as well, sensing my changed mood, and then sets me down. "You should walk. You've been carried for a long time."

"And look right me...good. Now here we go!" The flash goes off but it doesn't really bother me. I can tell it doesn't bother Collins either. We're both used to really bright lights in our faces because for his videos we have a light shining on us the entire time.

We walk off the background and over to the photographer. "Ok that looks really good! How about a few more together and then ones alone with just the little one." She smiles at me and we all go back onto the set up and I switch from dads arms to moms arms.

"Ok, I think now let's start with grandma and grandson." I look around trying to find another family here when mom picks me up and walks back in front of the camera. "...what?" She smiles "she thinks your Collins' son. Don't make a big deal out of it, and just go with it. It'd be to confusing to explain."

I look over and see dad quietly talking to Collins. Probably saying the same thing because Collins goes from confused to amused and blushing slightly. He looks over at me and I put my head in moms shoulder to stop my laughing.

"Alright, which next?" She looks at dad and Collins as mom walks back over to them and I walk behind her. "Go for it." Collins says and dad hesitates and says "father son last?" in amusement. Collins laughs "yup!" Dad chuckles and walks in front of the camera "come on dev." I groan and walk back "I was just here!"

Everyone laughs "oh poor Devan. He has to actually walk!" Collins says "I know. It's wridiculous." I mumble and put my arms up for dad to pick me up. Again everyone laughs "what?!?" I demand. Dad leans down and picks me up "poor poor Devan."

"Alright, father son last." Dad starts to walk back with me. "No! I'm not walking back again!" I protest and laughing dad puts me down. I cross my arms as everyone laughs again "why are you all lwaughing at m-" the camera woman gasps "wait...that's perfect. Devan look at me and make a straight face." I do and she takes a picture.

Dad slaps his head "why didn't we think about that?! Of course!" Collins looks just as confused as mom and I. "What?" Dad looks at all of us "we need pictures of just Devan!" Mom and Collins get it "oohh!" they say in unison.

"Ok, NOW father and son." Collins walks over "ok, stand up." I reach out to him from my sitting position "pick me up" He laughs "why?" I frown at him "because I'm tirwed!" He bends down "poor baby. You've got such a hard job!" I grunt and everyone laughs.

"You know, Devan is probably the most behaved child I've ever had come in here!" The woman states happily and does something with the camera. "Aw good job Devan!" Collins happily states and holds up his hand for a high five. I glare at him then poke his palm. "What was that?!?" I smile "a poke instead of a high five!" He raises an eyebrow.

"Here are your pictures and thank you for coming today!" I yawn as mom takes the pictures and everyone starts to walk out. I sigh and follow. "Dinner?" I hear mom ask and Collins nods happily. We're walking to the food court and I'm just getting farther and farther behind them. I'm just too tired.

People are passing all around me and I can barely see my family. "Good thing I know where the food court is."

Collins P.O.V
"That went really well. Devan was-" I look back and panic when I don't see Devan. Looking around I start hyperventilating "he's to small, I'll never see him in this crowd!" Someone moves and suddenly I see him. He's slowly dragging his feet in the direction of the food court.

I leave mom and dad and fight through the crowd until I get to Devan. "Bro. Come here." I hold out my arms and Devan stumbles up to them. I pick him up and he just collapses against my chest in exhaustion. I chuckle "bro...come on let's get some dinner. That'll make you feel better."

Devans P.O.V
We decide to go to a barbecue place for dinner. I look at mom for help when the waiter asks what I want. She smiles and orders for me. I don't really talk and just stare at the table for the most part.

I yawn when the food is brought and the waiter gives me a sympathetic look. She then starts talking to dad and leaves only to come back with chocolate milk which she hands me. I brighten up at the chocolate milk "thawnks!" The waiter smiles.

I don't talk, but everyone else does. A lot. I reach for the milk and dad, whose sitting next to me, silently slides it into my reach and ruffles my hair with a smile. Slouching down I drink all the milk then look at the food in front of me. "I don't need all this." Still I eat a little then just start to play with my food.

Collins and I have always been taught to not play with our food, and I know it's bad for me to do it, but I'm so tired and actually not that hungry. My eyes start to get heavy and when it gets to that point that I'm struggling to keep my eyes open, I push the plate away a little and put my head in my arms.

Collins P.O.V
"Mom, is Devan asleep?" I ask look at Devan with all his food still in front of him and his head in his arms. Dad gently nudges him and looks at Devans face. He smiles and nods "yup." Mom smiles lovingly.

Dad opens his mouth to say something when his phone goes off. Opening it he reads a text then sighs. "Aunt May needs our help tonight." I brighten up "Aunt May! Can I come?" Dad shakes his head "it's for her will. Plus someone needs to stay home with Devan."

I frown "But Devan can take care of himself." Dad gently takes a fork out of Devans fingers "I know, I know he can if he were his normal self, but I don't know about him right now. He's so small he might need help with something. Also he might freak out if he wakes up and no ones home."

I slouch "aw man. I really want to see Aunt May." An idea pops into my head "ok but what if we take Devan? I'm sure Aunt May would love to see Devan like this." Mom shakes her head "look at him Collins. Do you really want to wake him? Plus there's nothing for you guys to do there and you'll probably just sleep. Might as well sleep in your bed."

I sigh and give up "ok." Mom rubs my back "when did she want us there?" Dad checks his phone again "she said that she's planning on going to bed at 11:00 and its 9:30 now. You never know how long it will take to write your will so we should probably get going."

Mom nods and gets up. I follow her lead and dad picks up Devan. We walk up to the person who greets you, idk what the official name is, and dad tells them that we have a family emergency and pays up front. Devan doesn't wake up as dad puts him in his seat and we all sigh in relief "no screaming at 9:30. Thank god." I buckle him while dad gets in the front.

"Collins we're just going to drop you two off ok?" I nod as I finish buckling Devan then buckle myself.

Devan doesn't wake up as I unbuckle him and take him out of the car. When I get the door open, I wave to mom and dad as they pull out of the driveway, and walk inside. It's really dark and I don't want to have to turn in any lights so I simply walk upstairs and gently lay Devan down on his bed. Again he does nothing so I ruffle his hair and walk into my room. Plugging in my phone I lay on my bed and close my eyes.

Someone's screaming. I groan and roll over hoping the screaming would stop. It doesn't and is soon is followed by crying. I groan and roll over again "shut up!!" I gasp and sit up fast "Devan!"

Jumping out of bed I run into Devans room to see him crying and screaming. He has sweat coating him in a thin layer as he tosses and turns in his bed. His face is contorted in pain as I shake him. "Devan. Devan. Wake up bro. It's ok. Wake up." His eyes shoot open and tears flow even more freely from him eyes.

Through his tears he looks at me "colwins" his voice cracks and I pick him up to set him down on my lap. He shakes as he sobs into my chest and grabs tufts of my shirts tightly. "Shh. It's ok bro. Everything's ok." I rub his back and do my best to comfort him.

Eventually his crying slows to a stop. I grab a couple tissues and hand them to him. He doesn't take them so I gently wipe his face clean. "It's ok." He sniffles and I suddenly remember the last time Devan had been crying. "That wasn't very pretty. I hope he's not in pain this time."

"Can you talk to me?" He gasps for air and nods. "What happened?" He takes a shaky breath and starts talking "I had a nightmawre." I gently stroke his face "about what?" He swallows hard to get his tears down "pain. Monswters." I smile "it's ok. There's no monsters."

He's still tense and an idea comes to me. I gently set him down and he looks at me very confused and hurt. "Hold on." I cup my hand on his face then turn back around and go over to his closet. I start going through it intently "where is it...I saw it a few days ago" I freeze "nope I only saw it yesterday. Wow that weird how fast the days have gone by."

I shrug and dig deeper into his closet. I can feel him watching me and I finally find it. Pulling out the cow I smile at it and brush off a little dust. Turning around I show him the cow and he stares at it.

Wiping away the last few tears swelling in his eyes, wonder crosses his face when he gets a good look at it. "You remember this?" I ask as I sit down next to him on the bed. He nods and reaches for it. I hand it back over and watch as he looks at it love and holds his tightly to him. "Do you remember his name?" He nods "cow cow." I smile.

"You'll be ok then?" He nods and buries his face in the cow. I gently shift him over to the top of his blankets. Putting the blankets over him I kiss his forehead. "Good night buddy." He yawns "good night colwins." and snuggles into the cow.

Smiling I gently close the door and walk back to my room. My shirt is cold, wet, and covered in tears so I pull it off and climb back into bed. Yawning I roll over and look at the clock 10:30. "Poor Devan. He's had a rough time the last few days." I smile when I think of Devans face after seeing the cow after 15 years.

Screaming again. I groan as my still half asleep mind try's to play it off as a bad dream. I put my pillow over my face as the screaming and crying continues yet my mind doesn't let me fully wake up. Finally my brain can't play it off anymore and I wake up. "Devan." I say out loud and run back to his room.

He's crying and screaming again. The cows been thrown off to the side slightly but it's to the point where he can't reach it. "Devan. Devan wake up. It's ok, it's just another bad dream." He sits up and starts sobbing again.

I open my arms and he climbs into my lap then curls into my bare chest. His hands look lost as there's no shirt for him to grab onto anymore. I hug him tightly to my still warm skin as he starts to shiver. "Shh. Same dream?" He nods into my collarbone. "It's ok. No monsters." I grab the cow and hand it to him. He holds it in one arm and holds his other arm against my chest.

"Do you want to stay with me for the rest of the night?" He nods instantly "Ok. Come on. Hold onto cow cow." I pick him up and walk back to my room. I sit down on the edge of the bed. "It's ok. Now both cow cow and I will keep you safe ok?" He nods "I wove you colwins." I smile and kiss his hair "I love you to."

I put him down and look at the clock 10:55 "it still takes a while for mom and dad to be home." I look down at Devan and see he's found the warmest spot, where I had been sleeping, and is now curled up. I smile and lay down next to him.

He looks around the room, looking into every shadow. I can see a little fear on his face and I smile "no monsters dev. Just shadows." I move closer and put my arm around him. He pushes himself back so that his back is pressed into my warm skin. Running my fingers through his hair I watch him relax.

"You haf awot of muscles colwins." He notes tiredly. I chuckle "thanks. I try." "I wish I had muscles" I look at him outraged "what?! You have muscles!" I poke his belly and he giggles. "No I don't." To prove his point he rolls onto his back and lifts up his shirt to reveal his stomach.

I squeeze his belly and he grunts "yes you do. It's just baby fat right now." He looks between both of our stomachs "but you don't have fat" and he pokes my abs. "I'm not a baby." He frowns "it'll go away." "But then I'll just go back to being skinny! I don't get muscles easily colwins. I wish I did."

"Aw it's ok dev. It's not always bad to be skinny! You don't get fat for one. Do you know how lucky you are with that?! No fat? Almost anybody in America would do anything for that." I rest my hand on his stomach and I'm shocked by his soft baby skin. "So smooth. So soft. God I wish I still had skin like that."

"But I wook weak. And I am weak." This time I'm shocked "you are not weak Devan! Don't think like that!" He looks up at my face surprised at my outburst. I sigh and relax "I happen to know your a very strong person Devan."

He opens his mouth but I cut him off "I know your not entirely happy with your body, and I get that. But your a very strong person. You've taken me down several times in wrestling, you can do exercises I can't. Your very strong Devan. Not just physically, but mentally. I bet it can't be easy to live with a body your not comfortable in, one that makes you feel weak, but you've had a mostly great attitude  about it. Please don't think like that Devan. Please, it won't do you any good."

Pausing for breath I look down at him. He's shocked and doesn't know what to say. I lean in and press my lips to his cheek. "I'm sorry but please don't have an attitude like that." I say into his cheek.

He nods still shocked and I give him several more kisses and pull him a little closer into my chest. "Get some sleep bud. I'll stay here with you for the whole night." He snuggles into my chest "and keep away the monstwers?" I nod and smile "and keep away the monsters. Good night Devan. I love you."

"I wove you to colwins." He yawns and tucks his head under my chin. Rubbing his back I stare at the wall and think about what he had said "he really thinks all that?! I knew he doesn't like how skinny he is, but I never thought he thinks it makes him weak."

Looking back at him I see he's fast asleep "he's so cute." is the last thing I remember thinking before I close my eyes in Devan soft hair. Before my eyes close entirely I press another kiss onto his hair.

General P.O.V
Two brothers lay curled into one another. On big, the other small. Parents have long since been home and the house is quiet. Suddenly the room lights up coming from the smaller brother and he begins to change. Hair becomes longer and darker, fat shrinks into muscles, limbs become long, body shrinks down into skinny. The older frowns and shifts to accommodate the now larger body pressed against him. Neither pay attention as the light fads and they both shift into one another again. The curl into each other and relax.
