Chapter 32
"I'd choose you in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, or in any version of reality. I would find you and I'd choose you," Rose smiled at John as they were being married.
The man officiating the wedding smiled and said, "and with those beautiful words, John Smith do you take this woman to be your lawfully wedded wife in sickness and in health till death do you part?"
John looked into Rose's eyes and smiled, "I do."
"Rose Tyler do you take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband in sickness and in health till death do you part?"
She grinned widely, "I do."
"Then John Smith, you may kiss the bride."
John grabbed Rose by the waist and pulled her towards him, letting her arms wrap around his neck, and kissed her while the people in attendance cheered.
They broke apart, grinning at each other, as the man said, "ladies and gentlemen, I present to you Mr. and Mrs. John Smith."
The crowd cheered and clapped as Rose and John made their way back down the aisle followed by their bridesmaids and groomsmen.
"Beautiful wedding, don't you think?" Grant asked as Skye linked her arm with his as they followed Rose and John.
She smiled up at him, "yeah, kind of like what I want mine to be. But I would change a few things here and there."
"Like what?" he asked, frankly just because curiosity got the best of him.
"I might want mine outside in the summer, not spring. What about you? Did you ever fantasize about being married when you were little?"
He let out a small chuckle, "no I didn't, I'm pretty sure that that's more of a girl's thing. But an outdoor wedding sounds nice. In the fall would be cool too though instead of summer. That way it's not super hot and all the trees look nice."
She thought about his reasoning for a moment and shrugged, "that sounds nice too."
They broke apart once everyone reached the reception hall.
"Oh my gosh it smells amazing in here!" Skye moaned as she sniffed the air.
Rose chuckled as she appeared next to Skye, "glad you think so. My mum hired the caterers."
Skye turned around and embraced Rose in a hug, "congratulations! It was a beautiful ceremony! And you look gorgeous!"
Rose blushed, "thanks, thanks, and thanks. You, Jemma, Natasha, Maria, and Pepper all look gorgeous in those purple dresses too!"
Skye blushed, "we bought those purple prom dresses before Grant and I even got together!" she laughed, "it was right before our undercover mission."
"That was fun! Although I did like the yellow ones too..."
"So did Jemma," Skye giggled as she held her hand to her mouth.
"What did I do?" The Brit asked as she popped up beside them.
"Love the yellow dresses from right before my undercover mission a while ago."
"Oh yes, those were gorgeous, but a bit too short to run in if things went south, I remember."
"Pity," Skye said as she shook her head, "so where's John?"
"He's being congratulated by his groomsmen," Rose laughed as she pointed to the corner of the room where all the men sat laughing at a table.
"So who is everybody else here?" Jemma asked, curious at the unfamiliar faces she had seen through the course of the day.
"Well a lot of them are mum and dad's friends and then the Doctor's saved a lot of people over the years, so a few of them came as well. None of the aliens though..."
Skye laughed, "you might freak out a few of the people here if you had aliens at your wedding."
"We do have aliens! You, Skye!"
Skye laughed so hard she had to hold her ribs once they started to hurt. She had learned to embrace her 0-8-4 status and loved all the alien jokes that came along with it. Besides, Grant was from an alternate universe so they were the perfect pair.

"Care to dance?" John asked as he held out his hand to Rose.
She eagerly grabbed his hand and got up from her chair to dance with him. He led her out to the dance floor and a slow song came on. He put his arms around her waist and she wrapped her arms around his neck as they swayed to the beat. All the lights were dimmed and the LED lights that were hung everywhere lit up the beautiful auditorium.
Slowly, a few other couples started to leave their seats to dance.
"Do you want to dance?" Fitz awkwardly asked Skye.
"I'd love too," she said as she stood up, "where's Jemma?"
"Dancing with Grant, he wanted to dance with his sister so I decided to dance with you."
Skye laughed as she danced with Fitz. Suddenly the music stopped and changed to something more upbeat, making everyone dance differently.
Skye looked over and noticed Rose and John still dancing like it was a slow song, "aww, they're so cute."
"Who?"
"Rose and John. I'm so happy for them."
Fitz smiled as he watched his two friends dance, "me too, I'm glad they finally found each other again."
"I can't imagine what it would be like for her if we never got her back to him," Skye remarked, "she'd probably still be single."

Skye and Jemma were dancing the cotton eyed Joe by themselves and giggling at their own ridiculousness when Ward approached them, "Jemma you wouldn't mind if I stole my girlfriend from you for a moment would you?"
Jemma smiled, "course not. I'll just go dance with Fitz."
Skye turned to him, "what's up."
"I just realized that I hadn't danced with you yet."
"You can dance?"
He gave her a look that she interpreted to mean, 'idiot, of course I can dance.' "I'm the one who taught you dance remember?"
She blushed when she remembered their mission in Italy, "oh yeah. Well, I would love to dance with you."
"Good," he smiled at her as he led her to the dance floor.
She wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head on his chest and he swayed them both back and forth to the music.
"This is nice," she said.
"What, our height difference?" he teased.
She took her head off his chest and stuck her tongue out at him, "you're like only six inches taller and no. I mean just, you know, hanging out with friends and the Avengers, still fangirling about that by the way, dancing the night away with no missions. It's just, peaceful, I love it."
He rested his chin on the top of her head as she hugged him, "yeah, it is nice. But missions are fun too."
"Only you would say that," she laughed.
"Our undercover one was fun wasn't it?"
"Well... It was kind of hard to pretend to be married to you and then kiss you when I had a huge crush on you but I thought you didn't like me..."
"Oh hush," he smiled.
