Triple update! BOOM! 

"So," said Skye as she and Ward were cleaning up after dinner, "I have a question for you now."

"Alright what is it?"

"If you lived with Jemma and her family, why don't you have an accent AND why don't you look alike?"

"Well I suppose since you told me about your past, it's only fair that I tell you about mine," he said as he picked up another dish to wash it. "I already told you about my brother and my family, but when I was 15 I was in Juvie, and a man came to break me out saying that I could either go with him and he'll teach me how to be a man or I could stay in jail and be tried as an adult. I had ten seconds to decide."

"If I were you I would've gone with the man," said Skye, nodding along as she listened to the story.

"That's exactly what I did. He broke me out and abandoned me in the woods for 5 months," he said with a smirk as he noticed the expression on Skye's face.

Skye's eyes went wide, "woah, never mind."

"That was when I saw a blue box pop out of nowhere and I saw a man and a woman come out of it. They offered to take me away from that man and once again, I agreed." He paused for a moment and then added in a nonchalant tone, "their box was a space ship...and a time machine."

"What?! No way! That's awesome!" Skye said, jaw hanging.

"Thought you would like that," he chuckled. "We were going to travel, but we got stuck in a parallel universe when the ship broke. We met an 8 year old girl when we landed."

Skye suddenly realized who he was talking about as her eyes went wide and she gasped, "Jemma."

He nodded, "we stayed with the Simmons family for a few months when Rose and the Doctor decided to leave again."

"So that's how you know Rose!" she hit her forehead softly as she put two and two together.

"The Simmons' decided to adopt me, so I stayed with them for three years and then I left to go to the S.H.I.E.L.D academy back in America."

"So that's why you don't look alike and why you don't have an accent."

He nodded. "You're not from this world!" she gasped.

"Pretty much sums it up," he nodded as he handed her another dish to dry.

"Wow. That is actually really awesome," she laughed happily.

"Yeah, I owe the Doctor a lot for taking me away from the other world, who knows what could've happened to me if I had stayed there."

"If that was a parallel world, is that man in this world too?"

"S.H.I.E.L.D did a thorough search for him, turns out he died 6 years ago."

"Well that's good. Well, not good," she shook her head, "but it's good that he doesn't have a chance to use you."

"Yeah."

"So that's why you weren't as freaked out when I told you that I was an 0-8-4," she nodded as she figured it out, "because you knew about parallel worlds and aliens and stuff."

" I've met-" just then, the nozzle fell out of the sink and sprayed Grant.

Skye started laughing so hard, that her ribs hurt.

Ward wiped the water out of his face with a frown and fixed the sink.

"I've met aliens before," he grumbled as he dried off his face.

"Seriously?"

"The Doctor is one," he shrugged.

"But Rose showed us a picture of him, he looks human," Skye furrowed her brows together.

"He's called a time lord, he has two hearts and whenever he comes close to dying, he can regenerate, which means save himself and end up changing how he looks."

"So he can just change his face?"

"If he comes close to dying, yeah."

"Wow," Skye said, having that one word be the only one she could find to accurately describe how she felt about all Ward was telling her.

"Yeah," he nodded. There was a pause in the conversation as Skye started processing everything. Ward pointed towards the bunks, "I'm gonna go dry off."

Skye nodded, still looking forward, "yeah, ok."
