Chapter 3
The next day...
I arrived at Amalie a few hours before noon, when Steven planned on going back in time. I went early to get some paperwork done, and to further research time travel.
It was a lot of paperwork, since I needed to take into account the new jerseys, skates, and other things for the new players. It was also for players in the previous season, if they needed anything.
Once I started research, the things I found were quite interesting. Since the last time I had seen it, the concept of time travel was proven as fact. People have had troubles with it since all of the Pokemon and trainers had to be a close knit group. That could prove a problem today, since this whole thing has caused tidal waves with the relationships of the players.
Though uncommon, the devices might have some faults, causing it to work incorrectly. If it didn't work, the user(s) are stuck in the period they traveled back to, or if trying to go back, are harmed greatly. Even less common is death upon traveling back. It's only happened once or twice in thousands of attempts. So it hopefully shouldn't be a problem.
As I was finishing up the research and nearing noon, someone knocked on the door. "So you're the one who took out Carey's precious Mightyena." The one who knocked was Gallagher. I glanced at his shoulder where his Raticate was sitting on his shoulder and clacking his teeth. I tapped Strike, who was on my lap, and said,"Yes I was." Careful not to get me or anything else, a few bolts of electricity danced on Strike's fur. "Also, how did you get in?" I asked.
"Took out security. You guys seriously need some better people working there y'know." Brendan said with a dark-sounding chuckle.
I sighed and said," Didn't you liars say you wouldn't bother us for a two days?" Another wave of electricity pulsed from Strike's fur.
"Did you really expect that? Of course not. We're bad guys, we break promises." Gallagher said with another cackle.
I sighed again and said," I'm guessing you're here for revenge. If so we can't battle in here."
"You are correct about my reasoning, but not my location. I'm going to take you down in front of all of your Tampa buddies. Without their help." Gallagher replied.
I laughed in response and said,"Strike and I have only lost about 6 or 7 battles since I was- maybe seven or eight? Seems like a lopsided fight to me pal." I tapped Strike again and he hopped off of my lap as I stood up.
"That little thing- doesn't scare me. It's time to get even. You disgusting Floridians don't deserve to have a cup. Hockey just doesn't fit here." The Hab replied.
"Well, move it then and into the parking lot." I said and walked out the door.
I walked out to the parking lot to see all of the bolts gathered in the lot.
"Oh look at this! All of the Lightning gathered in one spot, ready for me to destroy!" Gallagher shouted, sounding absolutely insane in the process. Everyone glanced at me with confusion.
"If you touch them, I'm using Wild Charge on you. This battle is between you and me Gallagher. Not them." I said loud enough for the team to hear. They seemed less confused now, or at least I hoped.
"Wow. So menacing." Brendan replied," Let's do this Ratigher! Use Quick Attack!"
"Dodge it Strike!" I said, as he did just before the Raticate would have hit him. "Use Thunder!"
Strike growled and released a rumble of thunder that sent Ratigher flying.
"Take that you dirty liar!" I shouted.
"Ratigher!" The persistent Pokemon grumbled.
"Ratigher use Tackle!" Brendan shouted. The Pokemon came barreling in, and crashed into Strike, who tried to dodge the attack a bit too late. "My Ratigher is just as strong as your Eletrike, Danika!" Gallagher said as his Pokemon hovered over Strike.
"Strike, use Thunder Wave on my word." I mumbled, audible to only the two Pokemon in front of me. "What's that girly? Sad your prized possession has lost?" Gallagher asked with a cackle,"To finish it off, Ratigher! Use Bite!"
"Now Strike." I mumbled. "Eletrike!" He grunted as he let the wave of electricity knock over his target. He seemingly fainted with the contact of the ground. Strike jumped up and growled at Gallagher, who looked confused. I laughed and said,"This two foot tall Pokemon holds a lot of power. Don't underestimate it. Now tell us when in where you're going back in time, and we'll meet you there."
With some hesitation Brendan said,"May 25. Thunder Alley. We plan on making the journey tomorrow."
"Who's we?" Steven chimed in, as he walked forward and to my side.
With more hesitation Gallagher said,"The Habs, all of us. PK and will be in attendance too." He dipped his head in defeat, and put his Ratigher in a Pokeball.
Stammer looked at me and said," I'm surprised we got this much out of him. He was so cocky, but this is the result." His Pikachu said 'Pika-Pika!' In agreement.
"Me too," I glanced over at Gallagher and said,"You can go now. Back to your 'evil lair'. See you in May!" Gallagher glared in my direction and walked himself out.
"Well, let's do what we meant to." Stammer said, glancing from myself to the team.

author's note: wow this was a fun chapter to write.
A quick update about updates: my schedule will probably be tightening up as softball starts and it intersects with already begun volleyball. I hope to sill update all of my books during this period, but it should loosen soon since volleyball ends soon also.
Hope y'all enjoyed! Have a nice day/night!
