The forest

Evelyn: C'mon everyone! We're almost there.

(Kythaela and Alyas try to speak to Evelyn, but she ignores them)

Dean: Evelyn, are you sure you're okay?

Evelyn: Of course I'm okay. I found out my entire life was a lie and now I'm about to go fight a beast, and save a town... why wouldn't I be?

Dean: Um... okay. (falls back with Redmond) Hey, can I talk to you for a second?

Redmond: What no clever nickname?

Dean: No.

Redmond: We're about to go fight a beast, are you sure this is the best time to talk?

Dean: (thinks for a while) No.

Redmond: Alright, what is it?

Dean: You know things about the forest, right.

Redmond: Yes, how'd you know?

Dean: Evelyn told me... She talks about you all of the time. It was like she loved you even without her memories.

Redmond: Really? ... Well I've lived in the forest for a while so I pick things up. It's the only way you can survive.

Dean: Good. I was just wondering... we're not nearing any of Bestanden's beasts are we?

Redmond: I don't believe so, they normally don't stay near his cave because Bestanden wants them to go hunt for him since he rarely leaves.

Dean: Okay good. Any danger at all?

Redmond: Not besides the cave... Why do you ask?

Dean: I don't want Evelyn to get hurt... And before you get all defensive it's just 'cause she's my best friend.

Redmond: If you say so.

Dean: Look, I know we haven't exactly been on like terms, but I think... just for now... we need to work together.

Redmond: I agree, but how can I trust you?

Dean: (Spoken)(singing now slowly):
Look, if we work together we can get through this. For Evelyn. I know what's best for her. Search your heart - search your soul. I'll let you two have your space, but only if you're sure_______

Redmond: (spoken, then singing)

Dean: (as if talking to Evelyn)

(To audience, speaking): Dean: (singing)

Redmond:
Now I walk alone and wish I just had the strength in my bones___ I know that he's jealous, but I don't want to be hellish. Everyone thinks he's fine, but I know he's not alright. (they approach Bestanden's Cave)

All: Gone!?

Evelyn: But where could he have gone?... (gasps) Valliea!
