The Forest

Evelyn: Dean!? Dean!? Dean!?

Dean: Evelyn?

Evelyn: Dean! (runs up to him and hugs him) Where have you been? Why are you in here?

Dean: Why am I here? Why are you here? What's going on?

Evelyn: Your brother told me you left and I just want to know why.

Dean: You mean you came all the way into the forest just for me?

Evelyn: (shyly) Yes. I just... why?

Dean: Because it's so amazing being deep within the woods. You don't have to follow any of the stupid rules you can just be... free.

Evelyn: But you told me that there was nothing wrong with Valliea.

Dean: Well, I was wrong. I overheard Directer and Sedgewick talking about locking everyone away or something. I couldn't hear it all because I almost got caught and that's when I decided to leave and try to find someone who can help me figure it out.

Dean:
Deep within the forest, it's unlike all the rest. You can do whatever you'd like to. Isn't it just the best? Good thing I left that town, they all act the same. All they do is work and work, the whole thing is lame. But there's one thing here that's missing. And maybe that's you. I'm promised to be your friend until the very end, this much is true___ But now that I've left, I bet you feel abandoned. Come with me for a journey, unlike anything we've ever done before. We'll jump, laugh and roll all around the floor. Because I'm free, finally free. Free to be anyone I want to be. And with you by my side, I feel complete____

Dean: (speaking)               Evelyn: (speaking than singing)
Let's go, Evelyn. Come with me. I don't know, Dean. Yes, it's true we can do anything we want to. But you know, if we go there's no turning back. But we've got to keep on track. There's something bigger than us, something scarier than us. And I know that we have to fix everything, if we find the right path. I'm free, finally free. Nothing can stop me, and I can protect you and you can protect me.

Dean & Evelyn:
Just come___ with___ me___________

Dean: What do you say, Evelyn?

Evelyn: There's something holding me back... I met someone here who left like you and me. His name is Redmond and I don't want to leave him.

Dean: Redmond? Not the one who went to school with us a few years back?

Evelyn: That's him.

Dean: (hiding his jealousy) Perfect! Yeah, let's go.

Evelyn: Awe is someone a little jealous?

Dean: No, why would I be jealous that someone beat me to it? Or met my best friend? No I am not jealous!

Evelyn: (shrugs) If you say so. Come on, maybe he'll sneak up on me again!

Dean: What? He did what!?

(the lights go out and it shift to later)

Dean: So what did this Edmond person say to you?

Redmond: (appears and enters into the light) What did I say to who?

Evelyn: (excitedly) Redmond! (runs up and hugs him)

Dean: (sourly) Redmond.

Redmond: So... is this your boyfriend?

Evelyn: What? No!

Redmond: Perfect!-I mean... interesting.

Dean: So... Freeman-

Redmond: It's Redmond.

Dean: What do you think you're doing here? We were having a conversation... privately. What makes you think you have the right to-

Redmond: Looky here, Bean. -

Dean: It's Dean!

Redmond: Fine... Bean dip, I'm just trying to this lovely young lady....

Evelyn: (hugs him, again making Dean angrier) Awe, Redmond! Quit it! You're embarrassing me!

Redmond: ... lost in the forest who was brave enough to get lost in this forest looking for you. Which, by the way, you were nowhere to be found. Which means, I found your lady and I believe I deserve some credit from you.

Dean: Whatever, Deadman.

Redmond: (getting up in his face) Is that a threat!?

Dean: (same action) Your face is a threat!

Evelyn: (getting in between them to split them up) Okay boys, stop this nonsense! You two need to suck it up and get it together so we can find someone to help Valliea!

Redmond & Dean: (angrily) Fine.

A.N/ Hi lovelies! I got caught up with a lot of stuff this week like the dance and tests and homework. I'm deciding not to have an update schedule anymore. I can't deal w/ the pressure and I write better if I'm not rushed so I hope y'all understand. Sprry for saying the same thing over and over, but I miss Wattpad so :)
