Looking out the window

Someone's there beside me.

Playing dolls in a dream house

Someone's playing beside me.

[Lying in bed] Figuring out the world

Someone's sitting [with/beside] me.

As my imagination runs wild

Someone is running beside me.

My childhood friend

No one else sees

The shadows, hopes, and dreams.

Wild nights in wispy dreams

Hazy suns -- skies clear as day

Try as we may

I couldn't get her to stay.

She looks over her shoulder at the door

I knew I wouldn't see her anymore.

Staring out the window now

Someone's no longer there

Playing in my dream house

As we run wild 

Figuring out the world.

I see her smile

As I watch her turn to leave. 

[Golden hair [turns] to silver streams]. 

You never lose them

The shadows, hopes, and dreams.
