A/N - Hey guys and welcome to Chapter Three. Picture of Nev and Max ^^^^^

——- Nev's P.O.V ——-

This morning we're researching Lucas and hoping to find something dodgy because I honestly don't think that this guy is real, I think that he is hiding something. Whether it is who he is or it is just something about him. Anyone can see that Beth is hopelessly in love with him, I don't want Beth to get hurt but from what I saw yesterday she will be getting hurt.

I sit down next to Max who is holding his camera. I open up the laptop and the guys start filming "So yesterday we were told that this Lucas guy is a writer. He is 27 years old and he lives in New York" I say and Max nods "Yeah. But the Instagram account that Beth got his number from has been deleted. Why would it have been deleted?" he asks and I shrug "That is what we need to find out" I say.

I go onto Lucas' current Instagram account on my phone. The Instagram account is the one that Beth showed us. The pictures have other people tagged in them, I click on one of the girls that is tagged and it seems as if she is dating Lucas "It looks like they're a couple" Max says and I nod "I know. You don't post those pictures with just a friend" I say pointing to one where they are kissing "Maybe we should reach out to her. I know Hannah already went through all of this but she might have missed something" he says and I nod "Should we film a video message?" I ask and Max nods "Yeah. She will believe us a bit more then" he says.

I go onto camera and Max gets into the shot "Hi Kiara. It's Nev and Max from Catfish. We are making an episode concerning who we are thinking is your boyfriend or it is someone using his pictures. If you get a chance please call me, my number will be in the message. Thanks" I say waving before we send the message "We should search his phone number and see what comes up" Max says and I copy Lucas' phone number into the search box. Once we search it nothing comes up.

"Why don't we do a general search for him? Maybe something will come up" Max suggests so I do and a Facebook account pops up at the top "Go onto the Facebook" Max says and I click onto it. I click onto the 'About' tab but there is no business contacts, I go back onto the main page and there is nothing about him being a writer or no pictures of him in New York near anything really "You would think that he would have something about what he is writing" I say and Max nods agreeing with me "You would but Beth did say that he hasn't publishes anything" he says and I shrug.

A couple of minutes later this Kiara replies to our message "We have a reply" I say pulling up Instagram again "She says 'Can I Skype you? My username is KiBear2104'" I say and Max nods. I add Kiara on Skype and call her, she answers almost immediately. She goes onto video but there are two people, the other guy is Lucas.

"Hi" Kiara says waving and we both smile, Kiara has an accent on her, it doesn't sound like an American accent "This is Austin" she says gesturing to the person who looks like Lucas "Do you mind if we just talk to Austin for a second?" I ask and she nods going off camera "Uh. Hi Austin" Max says and the guy smiles "There is a young girl by the name of Beth Allyn. Have you ever heard of her?" I ask and he shakes his head "I have never heard of a Beth Allyn" he says and we both nod "Well, she has been talking to a guy called Lucas Stone. This Lucas has been using your pictures on an Instagram account and a Facebook account" I say and he shrugs "Can we ask where you live?" Max asks and he nods "I live in Queensland, Australia" he says and Max and I look to each other in surprise "But you don't have an accent" I say and he chuckles "I have only been living her for a few months. Kiara lives out here" he says and we both nod again.

"Have you ever had anyone use your pictures before?" I ask and he nods "I have. It's actually how I met Kiara" he says and we both nod "Is she your girlfriend?" Max asks and he nods "Would you mind saying something now that we can record and show Beth later" I say and Max nods in agreement "Just explaining that you aren't Lucas" he says and Austin smiles "Sure" he says and the camera zooms in on him "Hi Beth. My name is Austin Lewis. I am not the guy you have been talking to. I am so sorry but I wish you all the best in the future" he says and smiles at us when he finishes "That's great. Thank you" I say and he nods "No worries. Bye" he says and we end the call.

I look to Max who breathes out "I think we need to report back to Beth now. We just need to call this Lucas" I say and he nods "Let's go" he says and we both stand up before leaving the hotel. We should be back at our houses but we decided to stay in a hotel because it's closer to Beth and Hannah's place.

Max texts Hannah to let her know that we're on our way, we should text Beth but this episode is going to be a little different based on the fact that we already knew Hannah and Max knew Beth too, also our producers have let Hannah be on camera throughout the whole episode which doesn't usually happen so I think that Catfish fans will actually like this change. The only downside is the fact that I am in love with the sister.

We pull up to Beth and Hannah's place, Hannah opens the door and invites us in. We sit down at the dining table in the same seating form as before and I look to Beth "We have found something that goes against your guy being real" I say and Beth's face drops "We did search his phone number and there was nothing dodgy there. We found his Facebook and there was nothing about his profession as a writer which is kind of weird" I say and she nods hesitantly "We went back onto his Instagram account and reached out to this girl" I say pulling up Kiara's Instagram profile "Her name is Kiara and she is dating Austin" I say pointing to a picture with Austin and Kiara. Beth looks like she is about to cry "Please say this is a joke" she says on the verge of tears, both Max and I shake our heads.

I click onto the video that we got from Austin earlier "We actually spoke to Austin and he left a message for you" Max says and I play the video "Hi Beth. My name is Austin Lewis. I am not the guy you have been talking to. I am so sorry but I wish you all the best in the future" the video finishes and a single tear rolls down Beth's cheek "I can't believe it" she says. She stands up and walks upstairs "I'm going to talk to her" Hannah says walking away.

About 10 minutes later Beth comes back down and sits in her previous seat "Do you want to meet him?" I ask and she nods "I want to know why he has done this for 2 years" she says and I nod "I will go and call him then" I say standing up and walking outside. I type in the number that Beth gave me for Lucas and call him.

(N - Nev~L - Lucas)

N - Hello? Is this Lucas?

L - Yeah. I'm Lucas.

N - My name is Nev Schulman and I am from the show on MTV called Catfish. Have you heard of it?

L - I've heard of it.

N - Well we are currently in Los Angeles talking to a young lady called Beth Allyn who I believe you have been talking to for the past couple of years.

L - What of it?

N - Beth wants to meet you. Do you actually live in New York?

L - I live in New York.

N - So, will you meet Beth?

L - Will her sister be there?

N - Why does her sister need to be there? You are meeting Beth.

L - I will meet Beth.

N - Okay. Great. See you in a couple of days.

L - Yeah. Bye.

I hang up the phone and walk back into the house. I sit down and they all look to me "His replies were kind of short, I got the impression that he really didn't want to be talking to me but he has agreed to meet you" I say and Beth smiles "That's an upside" she says and I nod "I'm presuming you will be joining us Hannah" I say to Hannah and she nods whilst smiling "Of course I will. I am here for the long run" she says and I smile at her.

I think a few days in New York with Hannah will be amazing. I want to tell her how I feel so I think that this very trip will be the time.
