Chapter 7
"You! I thought Kylie had completed that mission!" Uncle Ramos shouted
"Sir, I..." David began
I leapt to my feet, nearly passing out, but David caught me. He placed one of my arms around his shoulders. He set me back down on the bed. I felt drained of energy.
"David, tell me you got the item." I said
"I'm sorry." David said
I punched David. I was just so mad. Why of all people had this have to happen to me? Is there something special about me? Why can't I just have answers! I lied back, closing my eyes.
"Leave. I need to think." I said
A few minutes later, I heard the door open and then close. I let myself nod off into a deep sleep.

Dream/ Memory:
Slightly blurry images danced in my head. But stopped at one. The time I'd met Golden Boy. I was struggling to keep from plunging down the side of a cliff. One of the dark wizard's servants cackling as he placed a foot on one of my hands. He slowly applied pressure.
My grip loosening. I knew if I let go and pull him over the edge, I would fall to my doom. Suddenly, a bronze blade sliced through the servant's chest. Then was kicked over. That's when I couldn't hold on any longer. I lost my grip, but my wrist was seized.
"Hold on! I'll have you up in no time!"
I had looked at Golden Boy. He was 13 when we'd met, but he had still been very tall. He heaved me back onto solid ground.
"Thanks Goldy." I said
He tilted his head, his golden hair swaying and golden eyes shining.
"What?"
"That's what I'll call you." I said
Suddenly, he sniffed me.
"You smell of magic blood."
"Are you a vampire?" I asked, pointing my silver dagger at his chest.
He snarled at the silver and that's when I realized he was a werewolf.
"Oh, you're a werewolf." I said, sheathing the dagger.
"Yeah, I'm Daemon."
"Kylie, nice to meet you Golden Boy." I said
Him and I shook hands, a small shock buzzing me. From then on, we had been the best of friends.

Suddenly, I woke to the sound of commotion. My mind snapped into reality and I leaped out of the bed, rushing outside. But I nearly forgot my cloak and backpack! I snatched my cloak and backpack, throwing them on. With my hood up, I ran outside. As I did, I smacked into someone.
"What do we have here?"
I looked at who I had smacked into. They were at least twice my size, but if they wanted a fight, I would bring it. I would bring it hard.
"A maiden with a hood. I wonder what ye look like without it."
The man reached to pull my hood down, but I leaped away from his hand.
"I wouldn't if I were you." I spat
"Aye, mighty feisty, aren't ye?"
"What do you think?" I asked sarcastically
"And has quite the mouth."
"You bet I do." I said
More men appeared. I noticed they weren't wearing armor similar to David. Their armor was much different. It was iron decorated with gold, black and red fabric as well as a dragon holding a ruby on the chest plates. The dragon holding a ruby looked so familiar, but I couldn't think of from where.
"Men! I told you to keep all residence inside!"
I looked at who had snapped. It was a guy who looked to be around eighteen. He wore a silky black shirt, leather boots, eye patch (which to me, made him look like a pirate) and bleached leather pants. He had a caramel colored tan, icy blue colored eye and kind of spiked up deep blood red hair. He stopped when he saw me. A chilling grin slowly spread across his face.
He approached me. I didn't even wince or cower.
"Well, well, well. A pretty little maiden I suppose who has no one to defend her."
"That's because I can defend myself with or without my silver daggers." I spat harshly
The guy chuckled.
"What's so funny eye patch?" I asked
"Do you know who you're even talking to?"
"Nope, sorry." I said, not actually sorry
"Why I'm the eldest of the West Point throne."
West Point is the largest kingdom in the Magicka dimension. It also had the largest army too.
"So?" I asked nonchalantly
"So, pick on me and something very unfortunate could happen to this place."
Was he threatening this place? Because that sounded like a threat.
"Well, I suppose you wouldn't want to pick on someone who works for the order." I said, not saying I had mixed blood.
"Then where's the mark?"
"How about I give you a mark, prince boy." I said
"Whoa, I don't even know you. But I bet you're quite ravishing under your hood. But my name is Lucas. If you ever want to join the West Point army, talk to me." Prince Lucas said
"Yeah, there's no chance that, that's going to happen any time soon eye patch." I snorted
Devil came bounding out of the house to me, but froze, ears flattening, fur fluffing up and eyes narrowing at the sight of Lucas. She hissed. Zane only chuckled at her. I picked Devil up and she crawled onto my shoulder.
"Why don't you leave Eye patch, my cat doesn't seem to like you." I said coldly
"You aren't getting me to leave that easily." Lucas said, getting in my face.
"How about I kick you where it counts prince boy." I threatened
"What's going on?"
I glared at Lucas before shoving past him and his guards. I didn't have time for this. I made my way through the village. I didn't care. Prince or not. All I wanted to do is save Golden Boy.
"Ky, where we goin'?" Devil asked
"To get the items. Without my uncle." I said
"That's crazy!" Devil exclaimed
"I don't care if it is." I said
I whistled as I reached the dragon stables. My dragon crawled out. I swung onto its back and it took off. This was my mission and I had to finish it.
Lucas POV
"Hehehe, my lord will be happy to hear we found her." I cackled quietly
"You sure that's her?"
"Do you take me for an idiot?!" I hissed
"N-no!"
The guard convulsed, falling to the ground, dead.
"I think you were lying." I said, withdrawing my sword from the guard.
I looked at the girl as she became a mere speck in the sky.
"Just wait. Your last breath will be soon." I thought, a smirk slowly spreading across my face.
