Chapter 7

A/N: I was half-asleep when I wrote this chapter so just turn a blind eye to the SPAG mistakes. I promise I'll go over this chapter and edit it.

Song : Airplanes by B.O.B Ft Hayley Williams and Eminem (Recently I've been so addicted to this song).

"Look, he's here."

"Did you hear what he did recently?

"I heard he managed to put over 10 people in the hospital."

"Seriously? I heard managed to kill one of them."

"Do you think he also sells drugs?"

It has already been more than a week and the rumours surrounding Aaron have increased.

I'm surprised he's still in school with all these rumours that people keep saying about him. He has been classified as one of those bad boys you definitely do not want to deal with.

He is still captain of the football club, but, he is a captain that was ignored. When they voted for a new captain, they all voted for Aaron.

Why? You ask. I asked that as well, then, found out.

It was because if he's the football teams captain, they'd have more ways to torment him.

Ignoring him when he gives commands.

Booing at him.

Making fun of his drills that he helped  the coach with.

And many, many more that would take far too long to list.

You'd think that people would avoid him at all costs, but, that wasn't the case.

"Why are still in this school? You monster?!" Someone threw a book at him, hitting him on the head. People cheered at the person, throwing violent words at him as well.

Aaron showed no fear towards them, he showed no emotion.

After that incident, he never once broke through his blank face. I would've felt bad for him, but, it didn't seem to affect him in any way. He seemed like he didn't care. The insults, the rotten tomatoes, the books, the pushes, the kicks.

He didn't care.

He didn't show any pain.

He didn't fight back.

Most of all, he didn't break.

He wouldn't tell me anything about Ryan.

Nothing.

He wouldn't even speak his name, nor look me in the eye whenever I would try to talk to him.

"Aaron!" I shouted. He flinched and slowly turned around, bracing himself for whatever I was going to throw at him. I sped up my walking speed so I could get closer to him. His eyes widened and he too sped up his walking to get away from me.

This speed walking turned into running and we were both running so fast until a door slammed in front of my face, stopping me from going any further. I grunted and I was about to open the door until I read the sign for the room.

The men's restroom.

He was smarter than he gave out.

He can ignore me all he want's for now.

Sucks for him.

We're in the same class.

All day.

— — —

I walked into my first lesson of the day. Nearly most of the seats were taken up since I was a little late due to reasons. Even though there was barely space, there was one area that was completely empty. The usual place where Aaron sat. Though he wasn't here yet, everyone knew to leave some space for him. I walked to my seat which was saved by Jack.

"Hey."

"Hey, how's life?" I asked him.

"You know, the usual, you?"

"Usual too. Did you do the homework?"

"Uh, yeah," he answered, forcing a smile. I placed my bag on the floor after getting out my book and stationary, then, I rose my eyebrow at Jack.

He was acting strange.

Like, super strange.

"Jack, are you -" I started but then was interrupted by the chattering of my classmates and the opening of the door to reveal a certain brunette.

"He's here."
"Yeah, I know, I smelt him."
"Let's see who can trip him up today,"

Aaron made his way to the back where his seat sat, avoiding the feets that somehow magically managed to kick themselves out from under the table and attempt to trip him up.

They'd be stupid if they thought they could actually trip Aaron up. I sometimes think they forget that he's the football teams captain, he can easily sense something and use his skills or whatever to avoid it, which isn't generally too hard. When he sat down, I pushed my chair back and stood up. People sensed my movement and hushed down waiting for my move.

But, before I could actually take a step forward. I felt the presence of a hand shoot upwards and grab onto my arm, stopping me from making my move. I shot around and quizzically looked at Jack. Everyone fell silent their eyes falling upon Jack.

Jack hesitated before he answered.

"I didn't do my homework, help a friend out here, will ya?" He put on a goofy smile. I sighed and sat back down. Followed by that, my classmates let out disappointed sighs and went back to their original conversations, forgetting about Aaron completely. I brought out my homework book and glared at Jack.

"Why'd you lie about that?" I hissed at him, low enough so no one could hear but loud enough so that he could hear. He rubbed the back of his neck and showed his forced toothy grin again.

"What are you talking about?" A feign of innocence danced upon his face.

"You didn't do your homework, yeah, sure. You always do your homework. Whenever you say you didn't do your homework, I know you're lying and that you just want to talk to me."

"Haha, you know me too well Gem. It kinda scares me," he chuckled. But, I knew it was forced. He really just wanted to get something out from his throat, something that I know has been stuck in there for awhile. Screaming at him to release and cough out.

"Tell me Jack. You are not allowed to keep secrets from me."

Jack gulped. His entire face flushed with fear and pain as he tried to get the words out.

"Don't you think you are going too far?"

"What?"

"You know, with all the stuff you are doing to Aaron," Jack repeated in a low voice. His vice streaming with regret as soon as the words came out.

"What do you mean?" I asked, my voice monotone and my face holding an unreadable expression.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about Jade."

"How am I going to far, I'm only getting-"

"Revenge. But why? What has he done to you? He hasn't done anything, I'd understand you getting revenge on Ryan, but, what has Aaron done? Why are you doing this Jade?"

I didn't know what to say. My lips opened and tried to form words but my voice never came out, not a squeak, nor a mumble. What did I have against Aaron?

He called you a bully. Remember. He compared you to him.

"He compared me to Ryan. He called me a bully." I muttered to Jack. Jack just shook his head.

"Think about what you said and what you are doing," he told me before going back to looking at the blank page in his book, waiting for a pen to touch it.

I thought about I said.

He compared me to Ryan. He called me a bully.

I don't see what's so shameful about what I said. Why was Jack making such a big deal out of it? I faced Jack and waited for him to say something, he carried on doodling in his notebook, blocking out the entire world around him.

Jack ignored me through the entire lesson.

Kind of.

He'd reply with grunts and mumbles.

Whenever I tried to ask him about the last sentence he had fully spoken to me with, he'd roll his eyes and pretend I didn't say anything.

It was quite frustrating, really.

It made me even madder at Aaron since he could be classified as the main cause of it.

Jack had left to go to his lesson, not even ushering or mumbling a simple "bye."

Why was Jack so mad at me? I didn't do anything bad, did I?
All these thoughts raced through my head and when I entered my classroom, I found Aaron sitting down, minding his own business.

"Woah Jade, you look like you wanna kill," I heard someone laugh as they came from behind me and gently patted me on the back. It was a boy that I knew absolutely hated Aaron and would join any chance he could get to torment Aaron.

"You have no idea," I muttered as I glared over at Aaron who was looking down at his book.

"Are you gonna cause a scene?" Oliver, the boy asked, "Cause you seriously look like you need a punching bag."

"I do." I continued glaring over at Aaron. Oliver noticed this and a smirk grew upon his face.

"Aaron."

"What?"

"Punching bag."

"But, I don't want to punch him."

"Then-"

"Throw-"

"A tomato!" We exclaimed together.

"I got one."

"Is it rotten?"

"What do you think?" He smirked.

"Im not even going to ask where you stored that."

"Don't," He shook his head and brought out the tomato. He handed it to me and looked over at Aaron who was still looking down at his book, hoping that the whole class would ignore his existence as well.

Such a shame really.

I couldn't forget his existence, he was the centre of entertainment for the entire class. This time, it was my turn to be the ringleader of the circus and train the main source of entertainment.

My classmates all stopped talking and looked up at me once they noticed me strolling across the room to where Aaron sat with a tomato in my hand being thrown slightly into the air and caught repeatedly. I don't know if Aaron felt our presence, but, his eyes stayed locked down on the table.

I stood in front of his desk and when he didn't look up, I slammed my hand of the table, making him jump and look up to me.

His eyes locked with mine for a couple of seconds and I began to think twice about what I was going to do. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I didn't turn around, I knew exactly what they were going to say. I could hear the cheers of my classmates.

"Do it! Do it!"

I closed my eyes and held the tomato in my hand, not wanting to clench it tightly and ruin it's sole purpose.

"What did you say to Jack?" I asked him in a low voice. He must've said something to Jack to make him feel like that. My eyes were closed, not wanting to see the look on Aaron's face at that very moment.

I wanted to hear his voice. I needed to hear his answer, but, he was dead silent and his silence was made up from all the loud cheers and shouts from my class. It was not helpful, their shouts and cheers was putting off Aaron from answering and I couldn't even see what was going on because I refuse to open them and look at Aaron's face.

"Nothing."

"What?"

"I didn't say anything to him," Aaron repeated. I could feel the volcano inside me boiling and slowly rising from my feet to my mouth, getting ready to explode and spit out a bunch of violent words. I snapped my eyes open and gritted my teeth at the sight.

His face had remained blank.

Such a blank face.

So blank that I could feel it yearning for a mark to be drawn right across it.

And then, just as his face had asked, a red splosh landed on it and began drawing itself around the face, making sure to not leave a single mark clean. I released my hand from the tomato and put my hand back, recieving a tissue from Oliver. I wiped my hand and stood back proud of my work.

Aaron didn't say anything.

He didn't show any expressions.

None.

I stepped forward once again pulled him up so his eyes would lock with mine once again.

His cold brown eyes that were once welled with courage where now lifeless and seemed to have no soul.

"Do you realise how pissed I am at you?"

"Do you realise how much of a b-"

"If you continue that sentance, I doubt you'll be seeing a tomorrow."

He muttered something under his breath, but I couldn't heard him due to the loud shuffling from the entire class. I dropped Aaron so he would go back to sitting on his chair, only he fell to the floor because someone had pulled his chair away. I took the tissue with me and sat down in my seat along with my entire class.

"Aaron! What is up with your face?!" The teacher shouted as she saw the state of Aaron.

Aaron didn't say anything. He knew if he told the truth, the teacher's wouldn't believe him. He had no witnesses that were willing to stand by him.

"What am I going to do with you," The teacher sighed, "Go get yourself cleaned,"

Aaron stood up and made his way to the men's restroom. The whole class was silent, no one stuck their feet out because there was a teacher in the room. We all looked innocently at the teacher so she wouldn't suspect us of anything.

"Honestly, every time I come late, that kid's always made some sort of mess," The teacher sighed as she turned on the projector and began her lecture.

— — —

My lesson after break  is with Emily. I hadn't seen Jack at all during break and It was frustrating knowing that he was avoiding me because of Aaron. I hadn't seen Ivy nor Emily during break either, but Oliver asked me to hang out with him and his group. I didn't see the harm in doing so since Jack was ignoring me.

When I had arrived to my lesson, I found Emily sitting down at her desk, staring into space.

Queitly.

Emily Anna Watson was sitting quietly at her desk.

The small girl with a huge personality was sitting quietly.

Something was wrong.

"What's wrong?" I asked her, placing my bag onto the table and sliding into the chair next to her. Her blue eyes glinted with what seemed like fear.

"You're scaring me, Jade," Her upper lip trembled and she shuffled a little away from me.

"What are you talking about?" I asked her, confused by her sudden outburst. She was a good actor so I couldn't tell if she was lying or being honest.

"At first, I thought that you talking to Aaron like that, wasn't a big deal, now, you've gone too far, Jade, you've turned into a... a..."

"I've turned into a what?"

She didn't say anything, she silently stared at the wooden table in front of her. She seemed to find that more interesting than the conversation she started. I could feel the guilty aura coming out from her.

"Emi, tell me, why you're scared of me? What have I become?" I asked her, trying to get her attention back. I couldn't lose her like Jack, "I promise I'll try to change for you."

She finally looked up. A mask of hope flew over her face, but, her upper lip carried on shivering because of what her lips were going to form and say.

"Jade."

"Yes."

"You've turned into a bully."

Boom! I finally finished this chapter. Finally.

I had a massive writers block and I nearly lost interest in writing at all. Honestly, I had no idea what to write and my fingers wouldn't even move because I just didn't feel like writing at all and I kept procrastinating.

Jade just got worse.

Legit. She doesn't even realise.

What do you think made Jack suddenly change and turn on Jade? Maybe he finally realised that all these events count as bullying or maybe something triggered him to realise that everything that they were doing to Aaron was bullying.
