Third POV

“So… you’re telling us that you encountered the port mafia members? And they give this letter to you without hustle?” Fukuzawa was in the room, well all of them are present. Dazai, Ei, Yu, Yean, Mayumi, Kunikida, Ranpo, Atsushi, Tanizaki, Naomi, Yosano, and so does Kenji. “Yes…” Atsushi responded with nervousness.

“I think you should read it. You’re the one who was given the letter.” Fukuzawa give the letter back to Atsushi as the boy gulped in anxiety while opening the letter envelop. A familiar smell reached Dazai’s noose to which he slapped Atsushi’s hand away from the letter.

“What the hell are you doing Dazai?!?!” Kunikida was about to grab Dazai’s collar but Mayumi stopped him as Dazai has mixed feelings of what is going on. ‘No… this is probably Mori playing with us…’ He shook his thought.

“Sorry about that… but I suggest dump it with hot water first. That is a poison to the skin, the only person I know that is immune to that used it to trick the target.” Dazai explained, Ei looked at him and smell the scent that the letter released. It gives her déjà vu.

“Yah? My favorite flower was either a lotus or a lily, but I mostly prefer the spider lily. You know why?”

“Why?”

“It’s because a beauty it possess despite being a death flower, it makes me realized that even being in a life full of sadness and grief, there’s still something special stored for the right time.”

“Ei-san, you’ve been pacing out just a minute ago. Is everything alright?” Yean asked after she made Ei snap out of her thought. “Uh… oh yeah, I just remembered something.” She replied to which Yean nodded still not believing her, as their attention went back to the letter that is already soaked.

To their surprise the paper became transparent with red letter.

To: Atsushi

Probably wondering why haven’t I let them target you right? Well… I have lots in my hands as of right now. I call truce for this, please tell Fukuzawa-san about it. Though, bet you didn’t believe the boss wrote this just cuz because of the poison I put in the letter, but don’t think too much about it.

Ei’s eyes widened at the last sentence, she knows who’s the one that wrote the paper. But thankfully no one noticed her reaction.

“Spider lily had the beauty it possess?” Fukuzawa said in thought. “What does it mean?” Yu questioned but everyone doesn’t know it except for one person. Not even Dazai was told by this from his sensei so he doesn’t know.

“Beats me, must of you here are a detective are you not?” Mayumi stated to which Yean took it as an opportunity to bonk her.
