Rei’s POV

   ‘Boredom, why can’t there be any missions left for me.’ I thought as I looked at the colorful substance in front of me. ‘Finally, after years of shock, I finally accepted that my biological father is Ougai Mori despite my denial towards it… his not bad I guess…’ I felt myself shiver at the thought of it.

   ‘Though… I have found myself in a thirst of knowledge, never blame me though, the books here are interesting than at home.’ I felt myself sigh and was about to fall asleep when the door was suddenly slammed open with the annoying voice of my father. “I’M HOME MY SWEETHEART!” He exclaimed making me groan.

   “Cut it out, I’m trying to sleep here tou-san…” I lied and despite not looking, I could feel his pout. “Oh! Come on Rei-chan! I’ve brought someone interesting this time!” Looking up towards his grinning face as averted to the person next to him, my eyes widened ‘Dazai…’ but it immediately went away. “I told you to stop picking kids from the streets tou-san!” I sighed as I noticed Dazai flinch at the raise of my voice.

   “Dazai-kun~ she will be your sensei from now on.” Father stated ignoring me. “Are you even listening?!” I yelled. ‘I can feel myself getting older…’ Father left the room as I gritted my teeth and stared at Dazai’s figure who was observing the house in wonder. Meanwhile I am observing his figure.

   I frowned, his figure was too thin, he still had the bandages like in canon but his height still haven’t been that tall as me since I can tell we almost had the same age. ‘Maybe, just maybe I could change something from his misery.’ I thought as I touched my covered eye. I got out of my chair. “Hey.” I called and I guess I surprised him cuz he was startled and looked at me. “Your Dazai right? And if you’ll ask how did I know it’s because tou-san mentioned it.” His stomach made an unnoticeable growl making me internally giggle. “You’re hungry let us go grab something for you to eat.” I grabbed his had and drag him, his muscle was all tense, but I’ll make difference at it and that will I do.

Dazai’s POV

   “Your Dazai right? And if you’ll ask how did I know it’s because tou-san mentioned it.” Rei mentioned, she seemed so carefree and she even have this light in her eyes, she must be so lucky to have her father. She had her other eye covered though I wonder why…

   I was embarrassed when she managed to hear the growl of my stomach but, her actions is fast, before I could even retreat my arm she managed to grab it making me tense. She’s a girl that couldn’t be mess with.

   As I was dragged by her, she started talking. “I’m Rei by the way. Nozomi Rei, I’ll tell you one day why I didn’t use tou-san’s last name if you’re that curious.” I was curious alright, maybe she is just adopted or something.

   “Rei? Does it have to do with your personality as to why you were named Rei?” I asked and it makes me confused as to why she snorted. She let go of my hand and opened a cabinet full of utensils and plates. “You’re quite an intelligent one but I wouldn’t say that, I don’t even know what had gotten into them when they named me as Rei because I am nowhere near. The irony actually.” She put the plates in front of me, one with the food and one with the rice. “Eat up Dazai.” She was kind to me, I wonder why…

   “What is this?” Rei sat at the other side of me. “It’s a crab, you didn’t have it before?” She asked me and I shook my head. “Couldn’t afford it.” I replied as I tried to figure out how to eat this crab in front of me, but when I was about to get it a hand snapped the shell? The inside looked so yummy. As I started to eat, I savored it in every bite.

Third POV

   Empty plate s in front of Dazai as he drunk some water. “Sensei… Do you have students other than me?” He asked Rei making her look down. “Yeah… but none of them stayed longer, I don’t know why… I hope we could make a difference of this cycle though.” She smiled genuinely because she knows what happened why they didn’t stay long. She hoped that her father will make Dazai as his consideration because he is going to be the witness of the current Port Mafia boss’s death. ‘I wonder how is everyone…’
