Mayumi’s POV

‘Meow meow~ another day to see the beauty of senpai~’ I thought with a cat face (OwO), trying to forget the glitch that happened an hour ago. I passed the café, but as I was about to go upstairs, I saw Kocho happily making something. “Sus…” I tip toed and spied on her.

“I hope Ranpo-kun will like the snacks~” Kocho stated making me gag and snort. “Simp.” I voiced out loud making her stop and look at my direction with a forced smile.

“Look who’s talking~ you, blue monkey.”
“Eh? I don’t know what you’re talking about Shinobu shorty.” I countered, sparks were seen in front of us. “Aren’t you the short one here? Hmm~ or are you too short to notice it flatty~” irk mark appeared on my head.

“What did you say?” My brows twitched in anger. “Flatty~” gritting my teeth I grabbed the nearby kitchen knife and strikes her.

“Can’t take the truth I see~” She stated while dodging my strike. “YOU INSECT ARE REALLY GETTING IN MY NERVE!” I exclaimed loudly but as I was about to strike again, it all went black.

Yean’s POV

I stared blankly at the fallen girl and then faced Yu. “I can take care of that you know,” I stated as Yu shook his head and sighed.

“Ran-san asked me to tell you that he wanted you to accompany him to his mission.” I perked up at the mention of Ranpo’s name. “You’re not joking right?!” I gawked.

“Nope.”

-time skip cuz I’m suddenly losing motivation-

“This is caused by poison…” I stated when I saw the decaying body in front of us, turns out that the mission was about another case of murder. The police said that the body was probably laying there for a long time because it is decaying when it was found.

“What do you think, Ranpo-san?” One of the officers asked, I side eyed Ranpo for his response. He put on his glasses and opened his eyes, “The body were recently killed, around midnight to be exact.” He deduced.

“But… But that’s impossible!”

“How is that possible!”

“Ara~ I think I know why~ you people’s brain just can’t get enough of the impossible than the possible aren’t you?~” I give them a closed eye smile, I haven’t notice the smirk Ranpo put up.

“Care to explain, smiling insect?” another officer voiced out, this made me irked. Although I decided to explain, “The poison in the person’s system is an acid one. The poison itself is hard to find and is only be made by one of the experts in making poison, the acid poison made that person’s body in decay because it was made that way. Some acid poison can melt a cloth or plastic containers but all I’ve seen is that… the poison were made excellently and was made for the human to be the only one that is affected…”

“There you have it!” Ranpo exclaimed as I finished explaining, I was fascinated by the poison though. Only one question were left in everyone’s head, “Who is the murderer in this case, Ranpo-kun?” I questioned in curiosity while my palm was at the side of my face. “No one!” both of his arms on his hips.

“EHH?!”

Third POV

It turned out that the person in question of being murdered committed suicide by making a deal with someone who is an expert at making poison, evidence was found in the drawer of the deceased person.

The person wrote in the letter that they wanted the person’s help of committing a suicide without evidence since they managed to get in a very dangerous situation causing the person’s family to die, they doesn’t want to repeat it to the people who had no clue out of it. They also want the body to be nothing but a moist that is of no importance.

Seeing the response of that someone they sent the message to, they finally closed the case as suicide. “YEAN!! HURRY! I WANT TO EAT THAT FOOD YOU MADE!!” Ranpo exclaimed as Yean smiled brightly and jog toward Ranpo. “Hai~ Hai~ Ranpo-kun~”

“Why exactly do we need the permit? And from the Armed Detective Agency at that? You know how hard it is to get right?” A red-haired girl stated to the Guild leader. “Exactly why we need it to get from them.” Francis grinned.

“We will meet new people to be my victim, right?~” Francis hummed to the long black haired girl, he knows how scary the girl can become when she activate her ability.

A/n: Another new characters that will be introduced, I wonder how it'll turn out.
