Atsushi’s POV

“So… what were you all doing before you joined the agency?” I asked, I was curious to know it. “Take a guess then! It is a game we played with new recruits!” Dazai-san exclaimed and not really answering my question.

“I’m guessing Tanizaki and Naomi-san were students?” I said making the two nodded in approval. I tried to guess Kunikida-san’s but it was only a close call. “Do try Dazai’s no one had guessed it, I have a clue of what it is but I’d rather not tell. I hear it had a prize to whoever guess it right. Even though no one guessed mine, I don’t think it is most important.” Ei-san sipped the drink as she saw how eager I was now.

I keep guessing and guessing yet nothing is near. That is until Kunikida-san said something. “I bet he was just walking aimlessly without a job.” I saw Yu-san choked in his drink while Ei-san was slapping? His back making him cough more.

I think Dazai-san was about to say something but his phone ringed the same goes to Tanizaki-san. Dazai-san excused himself and walked out after he saw something in his phone. Ei-san and Yu-san followed after, I don’t know what is happening that is until Tanizaki-san said something. “It’s a job!”

Yean’s POV

This is the scene that Akutagawa will attack… should I follow or… “I’ll come with you! I want to buy something, and I would be glad to accompany you youngsters on the way there!” Tanizaki smiled and agreed. “I’ll come too!” I glared at the Mayumi kid making her glare back.

The same happened in the anime, Higuchi was the one who showed up and requested for them to investigate the certain alley, though this time, no Dazai in sight for him to help them if something goes wrong.

“Oi brat, be careful when you encountered this guy.” Kunikida handed the picture of Akutagawa. “As far as I know that is Akutagawa Ryunosuke, known as the rabid dog of the Port mafia, am I right?” Mayumi stated, Kunukida pushed his glasses up.

“That is correct, so I suggest you run away immediately, or it will be the result of your death.” I noticed Atsushi’s expression changed into a terrified one while nodding.

Walking alongside with them, the siblings started during their usual flirting making me sigh. I thik they heard it since they stopped.

“This is it.” Higuchi told us to follow us in the alley, making me signal the siblings to stay there, the same goes to Mayumi who surprisingly listened.

“Oh? I guess someone noticed my intention… I’m sorry Akutagawa-senpai.” I was alert but instead of attack, I saw Akutagawa only walking calmly.

“We are only here to make sure the letter came to the right hands.” He handed the boy a letter.

“Be glad our boss doesn’t want us to get into further trouble with the ADA Jinko.” And with that they left, I was dumbfounded. The only thought I have is… ‘Who was the current boss?!’
