I climbed on my horse, following my brothers out of the barn.. To say that I am well rested is a lie. My mind has played images of the beautiful young princess. My intention was never to head into town and meet her eyes, but it just happened.. My brother, Seth rode next to me. "Roman! Wake up! You are falling behind, big brother."

I chuckled and sped up going deeper into the woods, but my mind once again went numb with the thoughts of my lovely vision.. All night, I thought about her.. Also our lifestyles.. So different from one another. Her a princess, and me a viking. We finally came to a stop, all the others got off their horses and wandered off.. I watched as they discussed our business endeavours..

I circled our location softly on my horse.. I heard a sound in the distance and turned around.. Once again, the sound rang through the forest. I turned my horse around and moved closer to the sound, ready for any intruders. I slipped off my horse and drew my dagger as I edged forward.. I looked and saw a hooded figure.. I walked and saw the figure draw an arrow and load it into their arrow, shooting it into a tree trunk.. "You have wandered many miles, stranger."

The figure quickly grabbed the arrow and turned around, removing the hood.. I quickly tucked the dagger back into it's place as I saw the sun lit up her face.. I quickly bent on one knee. "My sincere apologies, dear princess." She chuckled "No apologies, Sir Roman.. Your statement is quite right.. I usually don't travel as far as these parts but personal troubles have brought me here." I walked up to her and grabbed the arrow from her.

"Bow and Arrows?" "Yes, my one escape from the rubbish royal world." I nodded and reached my arm behind her, our eyes locked on each other. I grabbed an arrow. "Mind if I shoot one?" She handed me the bow "By all means." I grabbed it and loaded it, aiming for the tree.. I shot and it landed right in the middle of the tree.. I turned around and saw her smile.. "I have tried to hit the middle for years.. You must teach me."

"I'll teach you right now." I walked up to her and grabbed her hand, I placed the bow in her hand and grabbed an arrow.. I secured it in her hand.. I steady our hands.. And I softly whispered in her ear "Forget about all of your royal rubbish.. Take a deep breath in and shoot when you exhale." She took a deep breath and shot the arrow on her exhale. The arrow landed beside mine.. "Even a princess can learn a few things from a loyal subject."

She turned around and faced me, our faces close.. Her eyes met mine, as we both leaned in.. I felt as if the moment I thought would've come, had came but she quickly pulled away.. "Oh, heavens.. I have to go back to the palace." I grabbed her hand "Please wait.. Wait." She softly slipped her hand from mine. "I'm sorry.. I wish I could stay but I must leave.. A pleasure to see you again, Sir Roman." She grabbed her bow and arrows, except the arrow I shot.

"I'll be waiting for next encounter, princess!" I watched as she disappeared into the woods..I walked to the tree and grabbed the arrow, studying it.. I quickly grabbed my horse and climbed back on the saddle.. I hope the time rushes by, so that I might hold her hand once again.
