"Let go," he drew back roughly. She winced at the sudden movement.

"You should probably go back to Ron. It's my quest," he sighed, slumping his shoulders in defeat.

"Everything has a reason," she seethed.

"Why?" Harry spun around, facing her.

"I've felt something for you, always. It wasn't just friendship, " Hermione inhaled sharply.

"Since when?" his voice quivered.

"Since forever, " her shoulders shook.

Harry mumbled, "You didn't tell me."

"The friendship would be tarnished, " she closed the distance.

"Love is just a friendship which has caught fire, " Harry touched his lips to hers.

"Don't do anything stupid while I am gone." Bucky teased, and I retorted, "How can I? You are taking all the stupid with you."

Bucky, my best friend and crush of ten years, was leaving to fight the war in a couple of hours.

With a heavy heart, I turned around, making peace with what I knew would never come to pass, when I felt strong arms around my waist.

"Bucky?"

"Steve, " He whispered, his warm lips caressing the shell of my ear, "You will wait for me, won't you?"

I nodded, and he was gone.
