Grace's P.O.V.

I ran next to Nyx, running full speed while she was barely running thanks to her vampire speed. This is after the 2 am wake-up call from Tanzine's sister. I somehow ran into the door, falling to the ground. Nyx chuckled before picking my small bobcat form, petting my head. My nose was bleeding from the hard impact but other than that I was fine. Tanzine was curled up on the couch, rocking back and forth.

"Grace you need to switch from your cat form please, this place already smells like cat enough." Tanzine's sister said, the last part was playful. I nodded, jumping from Nyx's arms and shifting mid jump.

"Has she said a word since you called us?" Nyx asked while I used some witch magic to heal my nose. She shook her head sadly, sighing softly.

"Since she's woke up she only sang with me, not saying anything else. She will mumble the song every now and then but that's it. Do you think it's from the angel that she met a few days ago?" She looked at me while she said that last part.

"It could be, most angels don't know that they can do that. Since this angel might be a fallen one then this can be very dangerous. It also depends on how the angel knows how to use this power." I responded, looking at Tanzine while also trying to figure out ways to get into her mind to see what happened to reduce her to this state.

"Let me get you some coffee you two, Grace please try to get her out of this state, she needs to lead her pack. Her beta is off and so is his mate, she just got out of labor an hour ago." I nodded, walking towards Tanzine with cation. I put a finger on her forehead, trying to get through her mental walls.

"What made her put so many walls up?" I thought aloud, still trying to get through her walls. I saw bits and pieces slowly fall from the walls, she was finally giving way to letting me in. Once I got through there was three figures, one wolf standing over a curled-up human and an inner demon, twice the height of the already 7-foot-tall wolf.

I watched them, looking to see who the human was. My eyes widened as I saw that it was Tanzine that was laying on the ground. I quickly exited her mind, pulling my hand away like I just touched something that was burning.

"There's a demon in her head. And not a natural mental one." I looked at her sister, my eyes filled with worry. "I think I can stop it, but her wolf is protecting her human side from the demon." She nodded, sighing.

"I'll have you two excused while I take care of her pack, Nyx stay here and protect them because their bodies will be here, but they won't be able to control them while they're in her head." She said with her alpha tone. Nyx nodded, kissing my forehead.

"Let's get you two somewhere safer and I'll carry Tanzine down there. Go and lead the packs." Nyx said that last part towards her. I went into the basement, into a makeshift wolf den. This will make Tanzine relax more and let me help her easier. Nyx was right behind me carrying the 6'1 werewolf.

Tanzine got laid on the pile of blankets in the middle of the room, her head in my lap. I gentle put my hand son her forehead, closing my eyes as I went back into her head. I slipped through the crumbling walls.

"Tanzine listen to me! You need to get up and face it!" I was walking towards her wolf slowly, making sure not to freak her wolf out. The demon and wolf were in eye contact, whoever breaks it first will be at the disadvantage. I knew the risks of being in here as the demon could infect my mind too, but I had to get her back.

" Tanzine crawl towards me, your wolf will protect you!" I still was walking slowly because if I ran then either her wolf or Tanzine will break: literally. Their part of the mind will shatter if the demon can get to them. Tanzine slowly uncurled, looking at me with widened eyes. "I will explain later! You just need to come to me!"

She nodded, slowly crawling out from under her wolf, the demon keeping eye contact with her wolf. My witch side wanted to banish the demon back to hell, but I don't know the species of demon this is or if it's a mental demon or invader demon.

"Lee back away slowly, don't break eye contact." Yes, Tanzine has an intersex wolf named Lee, get over it. Lee nodded, backing up slowly as they snarled at the demon again. Tanzine finally got to me, standing up. She towered my 5'3 figure with her 6'1 figure.

"H-how did you..." She looked at me confused. I sighed softly, gently holding her hand.

"Just wake up and Lee and I will take care of the demon, tell the others but don't move too much." She nodded, walking towards the two eye shaped holes. I looked at the wolf and the demon, slowly walking between them.

"You both need to stop this before Tanzine gets hurt more." The demon chuckled darkly.

"That's what I'm here for. And now that you're here I can start my plan." The demon's smirk curled up into its head. It's razor sharp teeth, looking to have multiple rows of them, all like a shark. It's wings were that of a fallen angel, a deep black feather wings, rather than the brown/black leather.

"What are you, you look demon, but you don't have the right wings to be a real demon." I stood between the demon and the wolf, the demon looking at me.

"Just you wait little one, you're next after I'm done here." I snapped my fingers and there was an exit portal behind the demon. Going to one knee, Lee jumped over my back and pushed the demon into the portal just before it closed. I was panting because it took a lot of energy to even open the portal, let alone keeping it open that long.

"I WILL BE BACK TO GET YOU BOTH GRACE CAT AND TANZINE GEM!!!" The demon yelled right before the door closed. I looked at Lee, scratching behind their ear.

"You did good bud, now rest while I talk to the other about this." They licked my cheek, walking off after that. I walked out of the eye shaped holes, gasping as I was back in my body again, Tanit (when you get to lazy and look on a random name generator to find the name because you're too lazy to keep writing Tanzine's sister), was holding Tanzine close. Nyx looked at me with this protective look.

"What the hell happened in there Grace." Her voice was filled with worry yet like she was scolding me like I was a child that ate one too many cookies from the cookie jar.

"Not a mental demon, it's a forced mind take over that failed. Lee is recovering. How is she holding up? Has she said anything?" I looked over at Tanzine, who look like she just saw a ghost. Tanit shook her head sadly.

"She's just been silently crying in my arms for the past few minutes while you were in there." Tanit was rubbing Tanzine's back gently and supportively. I nodded, sitting next to them.

"That thing is gone Tanzine, Lee and I got rid of it. I put a protective mental barrier around your mind to keep things like that out of if okay?" She nodded slightly, her hands clenched so tightly I think I say her hands start to bleed from her nails. "You need to relax your body now too okay? We all will protect you." My voice was gently the whole entire time.

So so soon is when we find out that that was the biggest lie I ever told someone...
