Aurelia Smith was your everyday daughter of Apollo. Except for the fact that she was best friends with a son of Jupiter who had conveniently decided to go missing. She knew she had to find Jason. Without him, Camp Jupiter was chaos- and that was something they did not need.

She had gone looking for him outside Camp Jupiter, her bow and arrow her only weapons along with a dagger. Aurelia certainly wasn't expecting to find a seemingly abandoned house that had an unlocked gate but many traps on the front lawn. She should have known that there was a monster in that place.

Aurelia woke up shivering with the weirdest dreams of gold statues and her holding a gold brick? With a gaining realization, she understood she had been turned into gold by Midas. Not wanting to stay with the undeniably horrible company of the other statues, Aurelia ran. She caught a glimpse of blonde hair, so much like Jason's that she had to resist the urge to cry.

She was certainly not expecting to find out that she had just collided with Jason and his three new friends, a faun and two more demigods. And she certainly wasn't sure she heard Jason properly when he told her that the Greek Gods were real. Aurelia's day was going totally 180 degrees from her plan.

Then Jason decides Aurelia is trustworthy and they are taking her along on the quest. Oh, joy! Now she had to keep a secret of her roman heritage till Jason got his memories. Aurelia was starting to wish she had stayed at Camp Jupiter and not followed her impulsive self.
