they said pressure made diamonds
all I saw was me exploding
under the weight and expectations
of those called my well wishers
if they cared so much why won't they ease
don't they know how its making me feel
like I divided into a million fragments,
each with its own mind
half succumbing to the pressure
while the others were trying to find
where they truly belonged
no matter what others will say
their pressure will still dig into you like shards of glass leaving it's well intentioned mark
