From the distance all the people seem so small

And the streets all merge together

Between mountains of dead malls

I guess life likes to copy what it sees

From the future,

my past seems so small to me

And  all the friends that I once knew

Became little and forgotten

Between dried leaves, broken branches

And giant walls of concrete

And the problems that once beat me

And that I could never solve

Stayed behind, hid under shadows

With the truths I'll never know

And each one of my enemies

Bit the blade of their own swords

Joined forces with the ghosts

Of the the people that I loved

Everything that I once had

I have lost to time and dust

I have left it all behind

Now I'm drifting down the coast

And I see the city shine and wave goodbye

As the waves hit my boat, I fell tears drowning my eyes

And the mysteries that I will never solve

Stir a sadness in my chest, breaks my heart, and aches my soul

And I know

I know it's time to go

Time to leave the past behind

Venture into the unknown

But I hope

Someday I will come back

I know this city is tiny

But it's home, nevertheless
