Pin-Up Girl
The theme was the 50s, entertaining for a party cruise.
I was told to dress up fancy, be someone's muse.
It's not like I had a choice to refuse,
So I walked around in my way-too-high-heeled shoes.
The shameless men grabbed me with their eyes,
While the Judiths did nothing but normalise,
My body, my dignity, they just couldn't humanise,
I was a prize, and they blocked out my agitated cries.
How am I supposed to fight?
when at the end of the tunnel I see no light.
I just want the world to act right,
but on the inside,
I feel numb.
