Text talk: OMG, lol, btw, tbh, gtg, and no punctuation at the end of a sentence.

It drives me NUTS! The following is not an actual conversation I had with my friend.

Friend: hey

Me: Heyo!

Me: So why do you want to do today?

Friend: idk what do you wanna do

Me in my head: PUNCTUATION FRIEND!!

Me: How about we just text each other all day while we binge watch Arrow at the same time?

Friend: Kay!

Me in my head: oh look punctuation!

And SCENE!

I am not going to be a hypocrite and all that because I do use 'lol' and 'gtg' and if I have a one word reply I don't use punctuation. But seriously it KILLS me to see people with no punctuation. I literally found out this morning that 'tbh' means 'to be honest' like WHAT THE HECK?! HOW WAS I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT?! I know that it's easier to do text talk, but seriously unless there is an emergency DO NOT shorten something just because it's faster and you do it to spite autocorrect.

And the misspells, I cringe from the misspells. The following is not an actual conversation I had.

Me: Heyo!

Friend: hey

Me: I am binge watching Arrow right now, I am dying!

Friend: lol 😂 What show is that? Arow sounds weird

Friend: *Arrow

Me: look it up, it's awesome.

Friend: K I'll do it latr

Me: .....

Friend: .....

Me: later*

Friend: oh sorry

Me: don't you understand I will die from misspells?!

Friend: whatspells?

Me: misspells, like spelling something wrong.

Friend: sorry I'm not the greatest speller.

Me in my head: YOU JUST SPELLED LATER AS 'LATR' AND I DONT EVEN THINK YOU KNOW HOW TO SPELL PENCIL!!

Me: I have to go, bye!

Friend: bai!

Me in my head: b-y-e NOW bai!

And SCENE!

I realize that people do it on accident and everything (I do it to sometimes) but it kills me and when people do 'k' instead of 'Kay' or 'okay' or 'ok', I internally and externally cringe. I'm not jabbing at anyone I am just ranting because it kills me. So please don't be offended thedaughterofthehunt it just annoys me with misspells and text talk.

So I must excuse myself before I have people at my door wanton to kill me for this. I must go to a birthday party now. Goodbye my pineapples!!
