GUYS GUYS ok so y'all know I'm going to 8th grade prom this year (whoopdefuckingdoo) and so my dad visited me (cuz no I don't live with him) and so we're talking about lupus and when he's about to leave he goes:

"So who's your partner for prom?"

Like wtf dad I'm what 13

Wait no

The whole goddamned 8th grade is 13. And guess what? QUITE A FEW HAVE PARTNERS TO PROM ??,, and this guy that's like weird and he thinks he's cool but he's not in the other class asked out this 9th grade girl (WHO HAS A BOYFRIEND) and SHE SAID YES ??,?? And several ppl were making bets like "if I don't have a prom date by so-and-so, we'll go together"

Jfc I feel like the only one who wants to go alone [like it'd be cute if someone asked me but I'd probs say no]

ANYHOW

I stare at my dad and I say "no??"

And he's like so surprised (my dad had been getting the bitches since he was in 6th grade) and he says "but you have to take someone!"

And I say no

And then he's like "then you should start thinking about taking someone!!"

And I'm like "dad no thanks"

"But you really should"

"BYE DAD LOVE YOU"

Like I don't get it the stereotypical dad is supposed to be all "don't date my daughter!!1! Fuck off guys!!1!"
