Does anyone ever have really scary thoughts that come out of nowhere?

For example, my mother tells me to give her something, like a knife, and suddenly I think,

I have so much power on this particular moment. I could STAB YOU. I COULD KILL YOU. WHY ARE BLINDLY TRUSTING ME.

Of course, I'm not going to, but I could. And the possibility that I have the power to kill someone scares me.
