"Reach for the stars"

I wonder

How often I used to laugh

At such silly things?

They tell us the universe

Is in the palm of our hands

But really

The cosmos are too far away

We could never live our dreams that high in the skies

At least

That's what I thought

Until the people like me

Who were trying to blend in

And failed horribly

Were silly enough to open up their arms

Their cracked hearts

And with blank sheets of paper, they said

"Let's try together."
