Namjoon said, "We are here to help the patient, Min Yoongi," as they approached the couple. Jin stood up and bowed, saying hello and Namjoon and Taehyung returned the bow, along with Yoongi.
Yoongi hesitated before speaking. "You... You're here to help me?" he asked.
Namjoon nodded, his expression serious but kind. "Yes, we've just reviewed the results of your previous tests. It's true that the cancer has spread extensively inside you. However, since your cancer has a genetic component - it being passed down from your mother, we think that there is still hope for treatment."
Yoongi's eyes widened and he glanced at Jin, who had the same reaction as him. "What do you mean by that?" He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
Taehyung stepped forward. "There are advanced treatments and clinical trials specifically targeting genetic cancers. While it's a challenging situation, we believe there might be a possibility to slow down the progression or even achieve remission."
Jin's grip on Yoongi's hand tightened as he looked at the doctors. "What do we need to do?" he asked.
Namjoon exchanged a glance with Taehyung before answering. "First, we need to conduct a series of tests to understand the current, exact state of the cancer and how it's affecting your body, Yoongi. The other doctor said that you are in your last stage. But we believe that you haven't entered it yet. So based on the results of the new tests, we can develop a personalized treatment plan. It will be intensive, but it's a chance we should take."
Yoongi nodded slowly, his mind processing the information. "Okay."
Namjoon smiled, his dimples on display. "We'll help you every step of the way," he said.
Taehyung nodded, his smile shy. "We'll do everything we can to help you," he added.
Jin looked at them and said, "I will provide all the money needed for his treatment. Just help us cure him."
Yoongi muttered, "Hyung..." as he tugged at the edge of Jin's shirt, feeling guilty.
Jin shook his head. "It's alright, Yoongi. Who did I even earn this much money for if not for you?"
Namjoon and Taehyung exchanged a glance before Namjoon spoke up. "We appreciate it. As we said, the treatment will be intensive as well as expensive, but with your support, we can give Yoongi the best possible chance."
Taehyung nodded, adding, "We also need to do blood work, imaging, and genetic profiling."
Namjoon continued, "This might also include targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and possibly surgery if necessary. The goal is to attack the cancer from multiple angles and slow its progression."
Taehyung added, "Clinical trials could also be an option. There are ongoing studies specifically for genetically linked cancers like Yoongi's. These trials can provide access to cutting-edge treatments that are not yet widely available."
Yoongi looked at the doctors, then back at Jin. "Are you sure about this, hyung? It's a lot to ask."
Jin squeezed his hand. "I'm more than sure, Yoongi. We should do everything we can do."
Namjoon smiled. "Your support will also be important in Yoongi's recovery process. Emotional strength and a positive environment can make more difference."
He then looked at them with a serious expression. "But still, I need to be honest with you both. We're not sure if this treatment will work. There's a 50-50 chance. The outcome might not be a success. So, are you still ready to start this journey?"
Jin glanced at Yoongi, who looked back at him with wide eyes, looking uncertain. Jin felt hurt seeing him like that but quickly turned to the 2 doctors. "It's better to try something than to do nothing," he said. "So, we accept it."
Namjoon nodded. "Alright, we'll proceed with the treatment. We'll start with the tests and move forward from there. It will be a difficult journey but we're here to support you."
Taehyung added, "You need to stay strong, Yoongi. Your will to get better plays a big role in how well your body responds to the treatment."
Yoongi nodded, still looking uncertain. "I understand... I'll do my best."
Namjoon gave the couple a smile. "We'll start with the preliminary tests tomorrow. Make sure you get a plenty of rest tonight. We'll explain the next steps after we have the test results."
Then, they left the room. Yoongi and Jin looked at each other as silence filled the room.
Jin exhaled softly, leaning in to kiss Yoongi on the forehead. "Everything will be alright," he whispered. "You shouldn't worry about anything other than getting better, okay?"
Yoongi looked down, a sigh escaping his lips. "But I... I feel bad for using your money for something this expensi-"
"What's wrong in that?" Jin's brows furrowed in concern.
"You worked hard for it. I feel like they are going to was-"
"I worked hard not for the money but for you and me, for us as a family!"
Yoongi's eyes widened at his sudden outburst. Jin continued, "Who helped me when I was at my lowest in college, not having money to pay my fees, or even eat or pay rent? Who was there for me when I was desperate and lost, wondering how I would make it through another day?"
Yoongi looked away, being silent.
Jin pressed on, hus voice raising more, "Who helped me get through my lowest point, offering me support and encouragement when I felt like giving up? Who helped me study completely in my acting academy, pushing me to pursue my dreams even when I doubted myself?"
"Who helped me get a role in my first small drama as a side character, believing in my talent when no one else did? Who stayed up with me all night, rehearsing lines, giving me the confidence to face the camera?"
Tears started to stream down Yoongi's face as Jin continued. "And who helped me get the main role in the movie, 'Thought We Built a Dynasty'? Who cheered me on, even when the odds were against me and who celebrated every little victory as if it were their own?" Jin's voice broke.
"Who helped me get the OST for that movie, using their connections and tirelessly promoting my work? Who was with me all the time when I needed someone to take care of me, offering me unwavering love and support? It was all you!"
"And now, you ask me why I'm using money on you when you did the same for me in the past? You think money matters more than everything you've done for me, everything you mean to me?"
He said as he then cupped Yoongi's face, kissing his forehead again. "It's all love, Yoongi. Love is the reason. You shouldn't think low of yourself when all of my success is because of you..."
Yoongi shook his head. "Hyung... I'm... I'm sorry. I just didn't want to be a burden..."
Jin pulled him into a hug. "No more apologies. You aren't a burden! You've always been my rock and now it's my turn to be yours. We'll fight this and we'll come out stronger... I love you..."
"I love you too, hyung. Thank you for being here, for everything..." Yoongi said as he wiped his tears away.
They held each other tightly as the room once again filled with silence but also with love.

After a while, Yoongi held onto the bouquet of peonies again while Jin was carefully arranging some of them in a flower vase on the side table. As Jin was focused on the flowers, Yoongi quickly tried to hide his sketchbook under the blanket.
But Jin's sharp eyes caught the movement. Smiling, he asked, "What's my Yoongi doing there?"
Yoongi looked up immediately, trying to act casual as he nervously smiled, "Oh, nothing."
Jin tilted his head, walking slowly towards him with a hand on his chin, teasingly saying, "Really? But I definitely saw something."
Panicking slightly, Yoongi hurriedly shoved the sketchbook further under the blanket, saying, "Nothing, really."
But then Jin made a playful grab for the hidden sketchbook, but Yoongi pulled it closer, shaking his head, "It's nothing, hyung!"
They both struggled playfully with Jin trying to take the hidden book and Yoongi doing his best to keep it hidden. Their laughter filled the room as Jin finally stood up, tilting his head. "I definitely saw that sketchbook from earlier and now you have to tell me why you're hiding it."
Yoongi shook his head as he smiled. "I won't tell. I'll show you when I feel like it."
Jin shook his head, smiling. "Alright, but I'm holding you to that promise."
Yoongi nodded, relaxing a bit as he then held onto the peonies. His eyes then softened as he said, "I love these peonies so much, hyung."
Jin smiled warmly, "That's why I bought them for you."
Yoongi nodded. Jin then sat on the bed, quickly scooping Yoongi on his lap as they both laughed. The elder then began to shower him with affection, planting gentle kisses on his hand, his all fingers, his forehead, his cheeks, his nose and finally, his lips.
Yoongi chuckled, shaking his head as he leaned in more closer, hugging him. "I want to watch the movie again," he said, looking at Jin.
Jin nodded. "Let's do that," he said, reaching for his phone. With a few taps, he accessed the video, a personal copy sent by the editor since he was the main lead in the film.
As they settled in to watch the movie, Yoongi leaned back against Jin, his head resting comfortably on his chest. Jin's fingers gently threaded through his hair as they lost themselves in the film.
The movie they were watching, "Thought we built a Dynasty," showed a poignant love story set. Jin played the role of a young singer who falls deeply in love with an artist, a young woman from a rival family. Their love fought the societal norms and faced many obstacles, but they remained by eachother's side, in all situations.
Jin and Yoongi found themselves captivated as they laughed at some light hearted moments while tears gathered in their eyes during some more emotional scenes.
After a while, as the movie came to its sad end, the female lead tragically passing away, left the male lead, portrayed by Jin, devastated.
In the final scene, Jin's character gently took the woman's hand as she lay on her deathbed, her breaths growing weaker as she smiled at him sadly.
With tears in his eyes, Jin's character began to sing the OST of the movie, "Thought we built a dynasty..." to her.
Watching that scene, Yoongi's grip tightened slightly on Jin's hand, feeling sad by the depth of the emotions.
As the screen faded to black, Jin gently turned off his phone while they both remained silent for a moment.
Yoongi let out a soft exhale as Jin then gently wiped away the younger's tears. The younger chuckled lightly as he spoke, "That was so great, hyung. You did an amazing job."
He leaned into Jin's touch. "And the song at the end was beautiful, the sad lyrics were so powerful," he added. "You always manage to touch my heart."
Jin pressed a kiss on top of his head as he smiled, "Thank you, Yoongi."
Then, with a slight laugh, Yoongi asked, "Would you sing the same song for me when I'm on my deathb-?"
"Yoongi," Jin said sternly, "Why would you even say such things?" he scolded.
Yoongi looked away, his lips forming a pout as he sighed softly. "I don't know..." he said, fidgeting his fingers. "I just... I don't want to die, hyung," he admitted, his voice barely above a whisper. "Not yet..."
He paused. "What if... What if I end up like the female lead in the movie?" he said, his voice suddenly trembling.
But before he could voice any more, Jin looked at him gently. "You won't," he said. "You will be cured, you will get better, trust me."
Yet, Yoongi's tears began to gather once more. "I'm just..scared," he whispered as he sniffled again. "What if...What if I don't make it? What if the treatment doesn't work?"
"Yoongi, don't think negat-"
"I want to live, hyung," Yoongi whispered as he met Jin's eyes. "I want to live... with you. As a family..."
His words hung in the air, heavy with his emotions. He wanted nothing more than to cling to life, to cherish every moment alongside Jin, the man he loved.
Jin's heart ached at those words as he brought him into a tightened hug. "Don't worry, Yoongi."
"Hyung will do anything to make you live, Please trust me," he whispered.
"We'll fight every step of the way... as a family."
