The only occasion other than Christmas these days that culminates into a family dinner is a funeral. And even then it's a vip rsvp kind of event. My family stopped celebrating new unions around the time it has really gotten into that divorce trend. That in turn lead to it becoming a familly...sized group of single women with anger and budget managment issues, along with half parented children.

A family is a beautiful, wonderful thing... unless, of course, it is your own.
