Love.

Love was something Richie Tozier always knew deep down he wanted, but never ever thought he'd have. He spent days aimlessly wondering who could possibly be out there that would want to date a prince? Especially, because that Prince was him. Every friendship he ever had was fake, so why would a relationship be different?

So, Richie didn't believe in love at first. He liked it in the movies, in songs, and he felt it for his family - but when it came to a boyfriend Richie wrote it all off the table.

But, then came Eddie Kaspbrak.

Eddie Kaspbrak with the little red fanny pack placed neatly round his waist when he first met him, who seemed like he had all the answers already on  exactly how to make Richie smile. Eddie, who was so perfect that Richie forgot his whole "I will never find love and if I ever did it would be fake" agenda. He started to believe that he could be loved like he wanted to, like he had spent days in the palace endlessly dreaming of.

And now, to fully banish those lonely thoughts, he was going to take the person who made him the most at home to the place which made him feel isolated and alone.

"So, here's my home country!" Richie basically yelled as they stepped off his private jet.

Eddie gasped at the sight around him. The plane had landed in a closed off garden area, but around the concrete landing there was millions of flowers and trees. It was a beautiful sight just outside the palace.

It had been a week since the dance, and they were now on Autumn break - in which Richie had begged Eddie to come back home with him to see the place he was raised.

"Is it okay if we go and see my parents first? I'm pretty sure they want to meet you." Richie told Eddie, taking his hand in his as they walked into the middle of the palace, greeting the familiar faces he saw along the way.

Eddie nodded, "That's fine. Where's our luggage by the way?" He asked, still looking around the area.

Richie shrugged, "Don't worry about that. We have people to do that for us."

Eddie still wasn't pleased with the answer, still not used to the whole royalty idea, but carried on walking, "Is there anything I should know before I meet your parents?"

"One thing, don't use slang and make sure to speak properly. But apart from that, they'll love you!" Richie exclaimed.

Suddenly he heard a squeal come from behind them, "Richard!" His mother smiled. "And Edward!"

Richie's dad walked over to Eddie and held his hand out, "Nice to finally meet you."

Eddie shook his hand, "Nice to meet you too, I have heard a lot about you both."

"Richard, why didn't you tell me Edward was a cutie too?" Richie's mother bought Eddie into a hug, surprising Eddie of how welcoming she was. For some reason, Eddie pictured her more uptight. "Welcome to the family."

"I am so sorry about what happened before with the boys. You and Richard did not deserve that at all. The boys who did that are gone now but I still want you two to be careful around school, okay?" Richie's father said.

Richie clocked onto the hint, "Wait, are you saying-"

Richie's mother nodded in excitement, "You can go back to school and live with Eleanor again!"

"Holy shit! Thank you!" Richie exclaimed in excitement, causing his parents to glare at him and Eddie to giggle.

"We'll explain all the details later, Richard, and give you two some alone time and some time to explore the palace," His dad smiled brightly at them both. "Eddie it was lovely to meet you. We will let you get settled in and then we can have dinner." Richie's mother smiled once again.

"Thank you." Eddie beamed as Richie's parents walked away.

Richie chuckled, "You're stuck with me for longer, then. Oh - and they love you already. Not anymore than I do though though, Eddie Spaghetti." He joked.

Eddie ignored the name Richie had been repeatedly calling him for the past week and instead wrapped his arm around Richie's waist and smiled for the millionth time, "I love you." He whispered.

"I love you too." Richie whispered back, and he meant it.

Richie considered himself lucky to have two homes now. One with his parents, and one with friends, more family and the most loving boyfriend he could ever wish for.

It was then Richie decided, he didn't want to be alone ever again; after all, why would you want to be alone, when you can be one of Those Who Love?
