Here is my birthday gift for you,  hope you will like it.  Sorry in advance,  if it's not upto the mark.

A boy and a girl are seen to be coming out of a shopping mall,  with many shopping bags,  looks like they shopped for wedding. 

They are,  because both were so  gladly discussing about the wedding.

They got into the car and boy started driving.  Both were in a very happy mood,  but then all of a sudden a truck came opposite to them,  from wrong side and hit the car hard,  crsuhing it. 

They both were severely injured and the girl fainted. 

Boy was half conscious,  he was having difficulty in opening his eyes,  some how he managed and looked at the girl.

He was severely injured,  but this pain was nothing in front of what he felt after seeing her state.  Her state was killing him.

Somehow he managed to lift his hand slightly patted her cheek.

"Ragini" he whispered her name,  and then he closed his eyes,  forever.

Her name was the last thing he uttered.

7 days later:

Ragini is shown resting in a hospital's ICCU.  She was unconscious,  but at present she was gaining conscious.

A boy's face was coming to her mind,  and the scene of them getting into the accident.

"Adi" Ragini shouted and opened her eyes. 

She was unconscious from the time she was brought to the hospital, and after 7 days, she opened her eyes.

She was sweating thinking about their accident,  all her thoughts were on Adi,  she wanted to make sure that he is fine.

The doctor came to her and told her that she gained conscious after 7 days.  She was shocked, 7 days,  that means,  today was supposed to her marriage day, here she is,  in a hospital bed.

Doc: take rest, I will inform your family.

The doctor came out of ICCU and met her family.

Then one by one every close ones of her visited her,  they were all showering their love on her. 

They waited 7 days for her to open her eyes,  and these days were he'll for them. 

But the person who she wanted to meet, ie Aditya, didn't come,  neither she could ask about him to anyone as they were in a vulnerable state after seeing her. She controlled herself.

At last he came, they shared a painful eye lock, if everything was fine, it would have been their marriage today, but now instead of mandap, they are here, in the hospital. But that wasn't the thing which bothered them the most. She was worried for Aditya, and he was worried on her reaction after knowing about Aditya.

Before he could speak anything,

Rag: Laksh how is Adi??

Laksh tightened his fist, he was expecting this.

Lak: (controlling himself) He too is injured bacha, he can't walk now.

She knew he would be injured, but still it was hard to accept.

Rag: H, he, he is not severely injured right?

There was hope in her eyes and it stabbed Laksh's heart, he was falling week.

He nodded. She smiles, so her Adi is OK.

Rag: But Laksh, I won't get peace until I meet him.

Lak: I know, but now you can't meet him, and you know he will be the angriest if you play with your health.

She smiles.

Lak: (crossing his fingers🤞) Now take rest, and get well soon.

She nodes happily and closed her eyes, and slowly drifted into sleep believing that her Adi is fine.

Laksh came out of her room and leaned against the wall breaking down. He alone knows how he managed in front of her.

Sanskar came to him and touched his shoulder.

Laksh looked at his brother, hugs him and cried vigorously.

San: Lucky, shh, you have to stay strong.

Lak: I can't bhai, I can't. Sh, she was asking about Adi! How will say that her best friend is...

He couldn't continue and cries harder.

Sanskar had tears seeing his brother vulnerable; he hugs him tightly and let him cry.

Few days passed, Ragini was told have complete bed rest for two and she was to be discharged after that. Most of the time she would be sleeping due to the medicine effect, all her family visited her when she was asleep. None of them had courage to meet her when she was awake!

Ragini was getting restless by passing days, all her thoughts were on Adi, she wanted to now hw he is, but no one was letting her know about him, neither they were letting her to meet, but little did she know that even if they wish, no one could make her meet her Adi.

Finally it was her discharging day, she was fit now. she was so happy, now she can meet her Adi, no more objections on her way.

She was about to come out of the room, when Laksh came in.

Rag: So you remember me, where were you for the past two weeks, you didn't even step to this hospital.

Lak: You were sleeping whenever I came.

Rag: (playfully)Every time? How come? Say truly, you came to meet only after knowing that I sleeping right?

He looked at her shocked, because that as the truth, he was in the hospital throughout, but avoided meeting her when is awake. But never left her side when she is sleeping.

Ragini laughs seeing him Laksh looked at her painfully; his eyes were capturing her laugh because he doesn't know if she will laugh like this ever. His heart was bleeding seeing her laughing, how will he tell her about Aditya?

Ragini stopped laughing and looked at the door expecting Aditya.

Rag: Adi enough, I know you are hiding here; come out now, it has been three weeks that I have seen you.

Laksh closed his eyes painfully.

He opened his eyes and held her.

Lak: (shivering) Bac, bacha, listen to me, I, I hav, I have to tell you something.

Rag: (cupping his face) Laksh, what happened to you, why are you so tensed? And why are you crying?

He nodded his head in no.

Lak: Adi, Adi won't come, he can't come, he is go, gone...

Rag: (angrily) LAKSH!! Do you even have an idea of what you are talking?

She looks at him angrily, this thought was even making her shiver, she is angry on Adi now, she knows, it is his prank. But her face changed when she looked at Laksh, his eyes were painful, they were telling her that what she heard is true. She was horrified, her body stopped working, her mind went blank, she forgot breathing, no, this can't be true, she shook Laksh, and he closed his eyes painfully.

Rag: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

She screamed on the top of her voice and then blacked out, this was too much for her.

Laksh panicked seeing her, and calls out for the doctor.

He broke down again, why is this happening to her, to them Why is fate this cruel? Why was Adi taken away from them? Why???

He cries his heart out.

A week later:

GM:

Everyone are shown eating food in silence, the silence was very painful for them.

Ragini woke up that day alone, but she has lost her mind completely. Now she has become a moving robot. She is breathing, eating and sleeping for the sake of it. She hasn't cried from the time she got up. Her face showed no expression. She spends are her time in her room. She lost interest in everything.

For the last one week, every day morning, Swara used to wake her up and she gets her ready. Then together Laksh and Swara take her down for breakfast. She will have something, then will return to her room. Laksh never left her side, he too used to follow her, but he always stays outside her room. He then takes her down for lunch and dinner, later t night, he makes her sleep by patting her head, then he sleeps in her room, on her couch.

This has been their routine for the last one week. He tries to talk to her always, but she never heeds him, she is not in a mind to acknowledge anything. He was losing hope by passing days, but still he kept trying.

Ragini was going back to her room when Laksh stopped her again. Today he was determined; he can't let her drone herself in this misery.

Lak: Bacha, till when, till when will you remain like this? Please, accept the fact that,

Rag: (emotionlessly) I accepted it Laksh, and hence I lost my heart and mind too. It was all connected with him, without him, I am a soulless body. I don't know why I am living anymore. I have become a sleeping dead body now and will remain so. I can never be the old Ragini again. Forget me Laksh.

Saying this she went to hr room and Laksh broke down again.

Her every word was piercing through his heart.

She was very much affected by her loss, that she was not able to see anything beyond it. Adi was strength and she lost it, she was feeling like a complete loser. She didn't want to live anymore, but fate became cruel by keeping her alive.

She felt she was very unlucky, she couldn't even bid him bye. Fate didn't let her. She remained ignorant towards this news for three weeks. Was she that bad she was not allowed to be there when his last rituals were performed?

From the time he came to know about the accident, Laksh was suffering Adi's death hit him hard and at that time, his lifeline was fighting with death. He was afraid for her.

He broke down during Adi's last rituals, all her could was about her, how will she react?

The one week she was unconscious was hell for him, every second passed like years for him. Every second, he was scared for her. Finally after a week she opened her eyes. Her state was killing him, but t that time, he had a bigger issue to deal with.

He was suffering too much i the last three week, she was his strength, and he is alone now. He made sure that he never cried in front of her, he won't let her bar more, but now after hearing her, he left defeated. He doesn't have more strength to fight!

Laksh ran out of the house, he was crying badly. Somehow he reached his house.

His family was shocked seeing his state, he was very pale, his eyes were blood red and tears were nonstop.

He didn't heed anyone, he went to his room and broke down.

Other side Ragini was still emotionless.

Families broke down seeing their children, they were the lives of their houses, and now!

Adi was related to Ragini only, a bit with Laksh too, but his demise broke three families!

Next Day:

Sanskar was determined; he can't see his brother like this. He went to GM and met Ragini.

San: Ragini, will you come with me too MM?

She looked at him blankly and nodded no.

San: You have Adi's swear, come with me.

Ragini shivered, after that dreadful day on which she got to know about him, no one has ever mentioned his name to her. Hearing his name was troubling her mind. Also Sanskar asked to her go with him for Adi's sake? How can she say no? But then, she doesn't want to. In fact, she doesn't want to do anything!!

She nodded slightly and got ready. They reached MM.

Ragini looked at the house painfully, how much she wished to be this house dil, but now, it all seems like a dream for her, because she is not that cheerful Ragini anymore. She came in.

San: Won't you meet Laksh?

She looked at him without saying anything.

San: He came back home after four weeks, from the time you met the accident, he was with you. But then all of a sudden, he came back yesterday night. I have never seen him this broken, I want you to meet him.

He took her with him, but asked her to stay outside his room and he got in.

Laksh was sitting there lost! Sanskar fisted his hand seeig him.

He called him.

Lak: Yes Bhai, do you need something?

San: How can you accept defeat this soon Lucky? Isn't your love strong enough to bring her back?

Both Raglak's heart sank hearing this.

Lak: I, I am feeling defeated. Sh, she is my strength and without her...I can't Bhai.... I am week bhai,  till now I was holding myslef back because I believed she will be back.  Noe when she said thay she can't... I don't know bhai... I am such a loser that I can't even console her... 

He cries bitterly.

Lak: I failed bhai,I couldn't take her out of her misery.

Ragini was having tears in her eyes seeing her love breaking down. During the past week he never cried infornt of her.  His tears always affects her.  He knew it,  so he controlled himself in front of her. She hasn't cried when she came to know about Adi.  She lost her emotions then.  But seeing Laksh break down, her emotions were coming.

These two are the two important persons of her life.  One's demise made her lifeless,  but the other's tears were injecting feelings back in her.

San: What if she ready to come back??

Lak: She won't bhai, i failed!

He was been through too much and now he flet very week.

San: She told  me this,  that she will try to move on accepting the fact.

Lak: (hopefully)  She did?

Ragini closed her mouth,  not letting her sound come out,  she was crying bitterly now.

Sanskar smiply nodded.

Lak: when did you met her bhai??  What did she say? How is she?? Did you go to jer house?

Rag: (coming in) no,  she came here.

Laksh looked at her,  she was crying,  he too.

Sanskar moved from there and raglak shared a painful eye lock.

Ragini was feeling guilty seeing Laksh.   He was miserable,  all because of her,  she was so lost in her misery,  that she forgot everything else.  She cursed herself for being this selfish.

She ran to him and hugged him tightly.  Laksh smiles through tears.

Rag: I am sorry Laksh,  I am so sorry.

She cries more, he broke the hug and cupped her face.

Lak: bacha,  why are you saying sorry,  there is no mistake of yours in this. 

She hugs him again and cries.  He let her,  she had to cry.

Later when she stopped crying,  he took her back to GM.

There she saw her patents crying.  Everyone was hiding their sorrow from her and they didn't want to trouble her more. 

With this her guilt feeling increased even more.  What did she do with her loved ones!

Sheksumi wiped their tears seeing her,  she hugs them and cries,  apologizing.

They consoled her.  Later Laksh took her to her room. 

This time when she entered her room,  all the moments she spent sith Adi ib her room came to her mind. 

She started to shiver.  She will never be able to spent time with her Adi. This is something that she can never accept. 

Laksh held her and she cries again,  hiding her bead in his chest.

She cried and cried and cried and cried.  She cried the whole day.

He let her.  Later he makes her sleep.

He remembers the times when he and Adi together made her sleep.  They both were her lives. Tears made their way out of his eyes.

Next day:

Ragini woke up and saw Laksh sleeping on the sofa.  She went near him and caressed his hair. 

Rag: I won't let you break again, I want to be your bacha again.  But without Adi...

She was tearing again.  She wiped her tears and loomed determined.

Laksh woke up later,  they both had food and then Laksh went out.

Ragini was sitting with Shekar.  They didn't speak a word.  Both were enjoying each other's closeness. 

When she was with her father Ragini was feeling very better,  in fact she was not crying now.

Laksh came in.

He was happy seeing peace in her eyes.

Laksh went to her.

Lak: bacha,  look what I have got for you.

He opened the locket,  it was Adi's pic in either sides.

Ragini looked at it emotionally.

Lak: bacha,  even if you try you can never detach yourself from Adi.  He is a part of your heart and he lives inside your heart. But why should you remember him sadly. He has left you with many happy memories too.  Remember him with them.  Make him your strength,  not your weakness.

She looked at him emotionally and hugs him.  He hugs her back.

Days passed,  it was very tough for her to accept that her best friend is not there with her physically.  But she always felt his presence around her.  Maybe it was because she strongly believed that he is with her.  Maybe it's her illusion,  but she is not ready to break it. Because this feeling of him being with her is the only thing that was making her smile, laugh, and enjoy her life like before.

Whenever she misses him,  she presses her locket,  and she feels him around her.

An year later:

A wedding auditorium is shown.  And a couple is shown taking pheras.  It is raglak. 

Throughout the pheras Ragini was holding her locket with one of her hand.  She didn't let it go until the rituals were over. 

Raglak took everyone's blessing and then Ragini smiles AR Laksh genuinely.  He smiles widely and hugs her placing her head on his chest.

He is very happy seeing her smiles,  because there was a time,  when he thought taht she won't smile ever.  But now😊

Ragini closes her eyes.

Rag: (in mind)  Even now I miss you Adi, I was mising you badly during my wedding,  how much did we plan for it... But...  No one can replace you in my life Adi and the place you left vacant will remain so till the end.  But then I have everyone else around me.  They all keep me so bsuy that sometimes I ven forget you.

She then thinks of Laksh,  there wasn't a time in this last one year,  where he left her alone.  She smiles and tightens her grip.

Laksh's smiles  wides by this.

Lak:(in mind)  I know Adi,  no one can replace you,  but I will try to be around with her always that she won't miss you so much.

He kisses her head.

She smikes widely.

Rag: I love you Laksh.

Lak: I love you too.
