I woke up, my eyes slowly adjusting to the space around me. Getting up I realized we were In the same tree, looking over to Jess I smiled seeing her slightly wake up. Jess' eyes snapped open, not realizing where she was, only calming down when she saw me. "Max, you just scared me half to death.." Jess sighed, as I tilted my head. "How so?" I asked, she shook her head. "I thought someone kidnapped me!" I got up and literally picked Jess up, carrying her out of the tree. "I wouldn't ever let that happen, even If It meant my life," I smirked as she struggled to get out of my grasp. "Maaax~ Put me down!" Jess whined, I grinned. "Nope," Jess whined and gave In, I grinned, Jess Is going to kill me for this but... Stopping, I threw Jess Into the air, and In a few split seconds she landed on my back, yep I changed to my wolf. "MAX! WHAT THE HECK!" Jess yelled at me, I huffed at her, my tongue lolling out of my mouth. "Hold on, Jessie~" I taunted, starting to run to an oak tree I knew was near Scales Wind, Jess I could tell was having fun riding on my back as I ran. Spotting the oak tree up ahead I ran straight for It, my paws hitting the earth as my brown eyes glistened In happiness. Stopping at the oak tree, Jess got off my back, shaking my fur out, I was pushed to the ground by another wolf, who happened to be Jess. Her tongue lolled out of her mouth, licking my face. Pawing at her, I whined In protest. "I don't need a bath~" Jess giggled, not sitting on me, let me tell you I was stuck, laying on my back and she was sitting on my stomach! If my friends saw this, they'd be teasing me for days... Trying to move only made It worse as Jess continued to lick my face, need I explain how uncomfortable I feel right now? If the fur on my face could become any redder you'd be able to see me miles away! Jess giggled, not paying attention to the pose we were In as she stuck to cleaning my fur. Hearing the laughter of Adam my ears pinned backwards, great just great! Adam, Jin, Ross and Shelby appeared, Shelby pointed us out, causing them to burst out laughing. Jess had just now realized the pose we lay In as wolves, her dark fur on her face became a dark red, Jess had gotten off of me, changing back to her human self, sighing I changed back as well as the four continuously laughed. Jess was hiding her face In her hair, I could easily tell she was blushing redder than a ripe tomato If that was even possible. Adam smirked at me. "Did we Interupt something, Max?" He grinned, I looked at him, knowing what he was going to say next. "Are you Mad... Mad Max?" He taunted, standing up I chased after Adam, hearing Jess, Jin, Ross and Shelby burst out laughing. Adam laughed as I ran after him. "Adam!" I yelled, jumping at him, I pinned Adam to the floor as he yelled out. "WHEEEZY!" While flailing his arms like an Idiot, slapping Adam lightly I got off of him before someone saw that. Walking back to where Jess and the others were, I smiled to see Jess playing around like a puppy In her wolf form. The second she saw me, she darted for my ankles, yelping as she nipped me, I tried to get away by hiding behind Jin, that didn't work too well as Jess chased Jin away before going after me again. I yelped as she jumped on top of me, knocking me to the ground. Her paws on my chest as she looked down at me, her amber eyes shining, her tongue lolled out of her mouth as she panted. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Adam wink at me before heading off, jin, Ross and Shelby following after him. Jess smiled at me, I just noticed she had changed back to a human and was sitting on me, why does this have to happen again? I'm not complaining, It's just I'd hate It If one of her 'guards' found us like this, It seems they hate me ALOT. I had the feeling someone was watching us, eh, I don't care right now. Jess giggled at me, standing up she looked down at me. Sticking my tongue out at her, only caused her to giggle more, closing my eyes I felt something being lifted off my neck. Opening my eyes I saw Jess dangle my necklace In her hands before running off. "JESS!" I yelled, jumping up I ran after her, Jess' laughter filled my ears as I ran after her, I smiled, Getting right behind Jess I wrapped my arms around her before she had the chance to run. "Give me my necklace back, Jess," I sang quietly In her ear, causing her to blush, grabbing my necklace from her hands I put It back on. Walking back to the oak tree, I sat down, leaning my back against It, Jess skipped over to me, sitting down beside me. I smiled, pulling her onto my lap, her eyes closed, her ear placed against my chest where my heart was. I quietly watched her nod off, her breathing evening out as she fell asleep. These little moment's, are the things that keep me alive, keep me going on with this life. I closed my eyes, leaning my head against the tree trunk, not going to sleep just resting. By now I knew someone was watching us and me being the curious Idiot I am, wanted to find out who they were, so pretending to be sleeping Is my best option. Hearing the bushes rustle near by I hid a smirk, yep, someone was clearly spying on us.

I was slowly starting to actually nod off, that was until I heard 'soft' footsteps coming towards me and Jess, my arms wrapped around Jess a bit tighter, the footsteps stopped, the person probaly analyzing me to see If I was awake. The person clearly being and Idiot takes a few footsteps to the side, coming closer to me, the second I can tell he's In my reach, my hand snaps out and yanks the person's leg, causing them to fall. "Mother.." The guy trailed off with the curse under his breath, my eyes snapped open, my head lifting upwards as I stared at the guy. Bet you can't guess who It was, black hair, dark eyes, wearing black gloves? If you guessed Aaron, you are so correct! Aaron glared at me, a small frown appearing on his face. "Trying to sneak up on me and take Jess away, huh?" I smirked, Aaron held back a small growl In his throat, man his pathetic growl couldn't go up against mine! "So what If I was? What are you going to do about It?" Aaron snarled, his eyes locking onto Jess. "Hmm, I'd bite your hand, oh and that snarl of yours? Pathetic, sounds like a dying mouse," I laughed, Aaron seemed to get angrier, he was gritting his teeth now. Man, this guy was too easy to mess with. "Aphmau doesn't want to stay with you," Aaron retorted, that made me double over In laughter, If I didn't have Jess In my arms, I'd be rolling on the ground. "Unless you want to wake up Jess, or 'Aphmau' as you call her, I'd suggest you stop gritting your teeth so loudly," I smiled Innocently, Aaron stood up, his hand grabbing his sword. "Ah ah, I wouldn't do that If I were you~" I sang, Aaron Ignored my warnings, looking to the sky I gulped, It was turning night time, just greaaat... That Is clear sarcasm right there! "And why not, afraid to fight me?" Aaron asked, I shook my head, grinning, the sun was setting and my back was slightly starting to sting. "Than come at me If your not a chicken." Aaron threatened, holding his sword In a defensive way. I winced at the stinging In his back as It got stronger, the sun was only a sliver In the horizon now, my eyes were going to glow quite soon. Jess stirred, probaly feeling the pain now as well. Jess' eyes opened, pain showing In her amber eyes, looking to Jess I sighed, I really hated seeing her In pain. "Aphmau," Aaron said, catching Jess' attention. "Hmm?" Jess mumbled, hiding the pain that was clearly showing In her eyes. "Do you want to stay with, 'him'?" Aaron asked her, his voice dark as he pointed to me In a disgusted way, Jess looked to me and nodded, that only made Mr. Angry pants angrier. Aaron's head snapped back to me, his eyes holding pure fury, approaching me he grabbed the collar of my shirt and flung me Into the ground behind him. Hitting the ground, I groaned as my already stinging back came In contact with the hard earth. "MAX!" Jess screamed, Aaron was approaching her, Aaron pinned Jess against the tree, his sword against her neck. "Your coming with me," His voice was dark and demanding, tears streamed down Jess' face, she was scared quite literally and I could see It. "N-No!" She stuttered, making Aaron's sword press harder against her neck. "What was that?!" He growled, as Jess struggled to breathe. "I-I s-said... NO!" She yelled, sending Aaron flying backwards, looking at Jess, I smield weakly, her black and purple obsidian wings were showing, standing up I let my black and red obsidian wings show, my eyes glowing different shades of gold as were Jess' but purple. Aaron looked up at her, fear washing over his face, but the fear disappeared Into anger as he ran towards Jess. He cut her arm, Jess screamed out In pain as blood dripped down her arm, that made ME Infuriated. My wings spread out as I flew towards Aaron, jumping on him I knocked his demonic sword out of his side. "You touch her again, and I'll make your life a living hell!" I snarled In his face, ripping the skin on his chest which was uncovered by his jacket. Scratching his left eye I got off him, Aaron got up, looked towards me and growled. "This Isn't over," He whispered before running off. I looked towards Jess, tears streamed down her face, her arm bleeding. Running over to her, I picked Jess up and headed towards our tree. "I'm not letting you die.." I whispered, holding her closer to my chest as I flew over to the tree...
