Peter Pan

Why do so many people love the story of Peter Pan? And there's so many stories! Books, movies, TV shows, music, everyone loves the story. And you know why? Because they remember being kids and remember the magic (and innocence) of that time. They remember believing in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny, the Toothfairy, Sandman, Fairies in general.

They remember dressing up as pirates and having sword fights with Peter Pan, so Peter could save Wendy and the Lost Boys. They remember pixie dust and flying and how to get to Neverland. "Second star to the right and straight on 'till morning." They remember thinking they'd never grow up..... but they did. They remember Tinker Bell and Captain Hook and Ru-fi-oooooooooo!

They remember showing the many movies to their kids, reading them the books, watching the TV shows with them, listening to the music. They remember being a kid again and going back to Neverland. They remember faith and trust. "Think of a wonderful thought."

To sum it all up: They remember magic.

And now, whenever they hear "You Can Fly!" It brings tears to their eyes. Now, having to get on Amazon to order another copy of the movie. Now, downloading every song that so much has a reference to Peter Pan. Now, yelling, "BANGARANG!" At the most innopropriate times. Now, going along having a normal day, when they suddenly break down remembering everything.

And then there's us. The teenagers. We're supposed to be growing up. But we don't want to. We want to go to Neverland. We want Peter Pan to come rescue us. We want to fly, meet the mermaids, the Lost Boys, Tinker Bell, and ambush Captain Hook and his pirates. To not have anyone tell us what to do, because it's our lives, not anyone else's. We want to be kids again. Far away from puberty and suddenly hating everyone and not being stick-thin skinny and not having to care about how you look, or your grades, or who likes who.

We want the magic back.

And then there's the kids. They're just now experiencing the magic. They love it. They love Peter Pan and the Lost Boys and Neverland. They feel the magic, they just don't know how much it'll mean to them yet.

They have the magic.

And then there's Peter Pan himself. Watching us grow up. Watching our kids grow up. Watching our kids kid's grow up. And he's there. The whole time, he's always there, and he always will be. He's Peter, Peter Pan. And Peter Pan never fails.

He gives us the magic.
================================

Hey, guys. I was feeling very  sentimental. Two things: Would you like a Peter Pan OUAT story? And I'm probably gonna be putting up a multifandom book, full of drabbles, oneshots, headcannons, and klunk like that. I also have a new story named: The High School Trials.

It's about TMR being in high school. I might add some other people in later. OC'S, readers, it all depends on where the story goes. I realize this is more than two things, but I haven't updated anything in a while and now everything's piling up. Also, for you Outsiders fans, another new story of mine: Tradition for Trouble will be up soon.

For any of you that have Musical.ly my account is: B.E.A.N

I'm pretty sure that's it and as for the Peter Pan stuff, well, I honestly have no bloody idea.

See you later, Oreos!
