A brown tabby she-cat walked through some ferns as she found herself staring at a glimmering lake. It was bright as the light of the sun reflected on its surface. She turned to face the cats that were walking behind her.
"The prophesied homeland that the star's have spoken of...We are here!"
A ragged black tabby tom came to the forefront as he rasped in his elderly voice. "My daughter, are you sure we are here?"
The she-cat nodded vigorously. "I do! The mountains far off in the distance, this big forest, and the empty plains, this is it! We are here after so many moons!"
A gray tabby tom walked beside her as he looked at the view before turning back to her. "If it weren't for your intelligence, I would have called you mouse-brained for thinking this could be the place!"
The she-cat chuckled as she cuffed her mate's ears. "Well, it is a very good thing that I am smart then, according to you."
A golden tom hissed as he walked in front of the brown she-cat's father. "Bah, let us just find a forever home already! You both can worry about your lovey-dovey antics after we find a place to live and settle down."
The brown she-cat made a fake sad meow. "Awww, you are always such a mood killer, brother...But, you are right. Come along everyone! This is our chance for a new beginning!"
