Our Lives
Our Lives
Just like time on a clock loses its balance,
Do we shuffle and fall around,
Gripping at straws to survive,
To try and save what's left.
Just like a battery depletes its life,
So did we run out of energy,
Used up the exothermic chemical reaction we had.
We lost the game,
We both thought we'd win,
Drifted apart like gas particles
And dissappeared into the light.
We used up everything we had,
To try and let something flourish
In unfertilized ground.
