Life's Opposites
Black absorbs
White reflects
Opposites attract
Two negatives don't make a right
Two positives repel
Some people attract good luck.
They're walking four leaf clovers.
Their lives bent into a lucky horseshoe.
Then there are those who repel good luck
Who have a broken mirror,
And a black cat permanently crossing their paths
Some die at birth
Others in accidents
Some of negligence
While others survive up to their 100s
Science says one thing,
Test it with Mathematics
Then it says something else.
Mist dampens windows
Hot water boils and cooks
Cold water is refreshing
Ice and liguid nitrogen burns
Plants grow skew
When one side is not in direct sunlight
Without it they loose color
Sugar is good.
An abundance formed in fruit
High quantities gives you diabetes.
Without money we are nothing
It's a drug and everybody craves
It more and more everyday.
Looking for their next fix,
Their next high point
Plants flourish in Spring
Their metabolisms getting in gear
Blossoms paving the air
Giving us a taste of Eden
Sweet aromas everywhere
Color returning suggesting new life
When Winter comes around
Like Death and Time it steals,
It crushes life and takes away beauty.
Plants loose their golden leaves
Others die and crumple
Under its powerful presence
But nothing can change a good heart
Through heartbreaking trails,
Torments, attacks, stress, shock
It may turn to stone or steel
But in the interior
When you dive deeper
A speck of good still lies
