Footprints
Footprints
I remember chasing you
Through endless grains
Of our hour glasses
And when you were tackled
We laughed so hard
That the man
On the moon
Could hear
Us
Remember when you got stuck
In the mud of our age
When we preferred
Long walks on the safe side of life
I hugged you tight
That the man
On the moon
Got jealous of
Us
I remember crying for you
When the grains were swept away
And the mud dried
I clutched the letter tight
Jealous that the man
On the moon
Got his wish
Of having
You
I close my eyes tonight
My mind beclouded
By the footprints we left here
Soon I'll be with you
And the man on the moon
To leave footprints
Where the
Wind never
Blows
