A Mother's Love

One day
A mother wanted to say
To her son a happy birtday
But he was about to endure
An operation that would save his life for sure

She grabbed a paper
And wrote in a golden pen
A happy birthday wish
She knew he'd like it when he came to.

After the operation
the son had an awful sensation
His chest was crying of pain
All was in vain.

When he could go home
We wanted to surprise his mom
But he only found a letter
Suddenly he felt better

He opened it
And started to read it:

'Dear son,
I couldn't find a great present for your birthday
But what I want to say
Is treasure the best present
I could wrap in your flesh
I give you my heart
Hope you love it...
Forever yours
Mom...'

...That's what a mother does
She'll do anything for the ones she loves
A mother is wise
A mother is full of love

Treasure it daily
And remember  as well to share daily
Because you'll never know
When time would want her back...
