"Is he following?" Darryl asked his French friend who looked behind them quickly seeing nobody there.

"Yep," Vincent replied shaking his head. "I guess we will continue to believe he isn't here still." Darryl smiled. Darryl had it pretty good in the apocalypse. He was trying to gain another friend at the moment, and he knew their little follower would rather be in a group of friends. Poor guy must've experienced something traumatizing to not trust people. Soon the pair had arrived at their little base. It was a destroyed house. The only thing protecting them from attacks was two decaying walls. Where the two walls met a small un lit fire sat in between two sleeping bags. It wasn't much but it was comfy and kept the zombies out. Due to the fire they can't smell us, and they can't see us if wondering by. And if they do one of Vincent's traps would get 'em. Darryl hurried past the traps and sat on my makeshift bed. Vincent did the same unpacking his findings for today. Before they had saved the unknown male, they had both split up to find useful things. Darryl was tasked to find food and Vincent got water. Darryl revealed five cans of beans. All cans were small and only half full though. Vincent showed off his useful four bottles of fresh water.

"Guess we're having beans tonight," Darryl commented. As Vincent began lighting the fire Darryl saw movement out the corner of his eyes. He looked at the entrance and exit to their hiding spot and started scanning the area. He soon realised a rock in one of the traps that wasn't there before. There were only three small bear-like traps. He stood up and collected it. He turned back to Vincent who nodded over to some rubble near the entrance. Darryl gripped the rock tighter and walked towards what could be anything. But he knew what it was. Their friend from earlier. He peeked behind the mess and spotted the blue hooded boy. Darryl smiled at the boy extending him a hand. The boy showed no movement towards him at all and just crouched there holding Darryl's gaze.

"We've got food and water!" Vincent called out. The boy then stood up on his own not taking Darryl's hand. The older boy shrugged it off and led the newcomer carefully through the traps and invited him to sit down. Reluctance glittered in the boy's dark brown eyes, but he sat anyways. The awkward tension continued until Vincent had finally lit the charred wood.

"Holy shit!" Vincent commented. "That took-"

"LANGUAGE!" Darryl cut him off and the boy seemed to hold back a laugh. Vincent looked at Darryl straight in the eyes.

"Bruh," he commented before grabbing a water bottle and throwing it at the brown-haired boy. "What's ya name kid?" Vincent asked before throwing one to Darryl who was unprepared for it and it smacked him in the stomach.

"Z-Zak," this supposed 'Zak' replied placing his bag down in front of him.

"Well then Zak," Vincent continued. "How long have you been out here?"

"Not long," he stated calmly. Darryl tilted his head looking at the boy.

"Care to elaborate on you?" Darryl asked smiling.

"Nope," Zak replied simply. Vincent slouched in disappointment.

"Would you like us to share first?" Darryl asked smiling at Zak. Zak looked at him and shrugged.

"Yeah I guess," Zak looked down clearly waiting for the information.

"Well I'm Darryl and I am 22," Darryl began smiling as he continued. "I used to work at a Walmart. And I had a dog named Rat." He finished the smile dropping off his face. Vincent seemed to scoot closer to his friend in comfort. Zak looked down.

"I'm sorry," Zak commented. "I didn't-"

"No, no," Darryl sniffed. "Its fine." Zak then looked to Vincent who gave him a confused look before realising it was his turn.

"Well~" Vincent sighed. "I'm Vincent, I'm 18 and I owe my life to Darryl." Vincent commented proudly.

"No, you are not!" Darryl yelled. "You muffin you owe me nothing!"

"YES, I DO NOW SHUT UP!!"

"LANGUAGE YOU MUFFIN!!"

"So..." Zak interrupted. "Will you elaborate?"

"Nope," Vincent replied swiftly. "Now you."

"Well my name is Zak, I'm 19 and I am not going to tell you much more because we are not friends." Zak smiled. The other two looked at him suspiciously. In the end Vincent shrugged.

"Well after you've both eaten get some rest," he stood up as Darryl grabbed his arm about to protest. "Don't worry I've got tonight," Vincent replied reassuringly and stepped past the traps and sat down by the entrance. After Zak and Darryl had finished eating, they set themselves up for the night. Zak set out his sleeping bag before turning to Darryl.

"Are you sure he's not an Imposter?" Zak whispered to Darryl who was taking is glasses off. Zak looked back to the entrance where Vincent sat eating his food.

"Oh," Darryl smiled. "I know he's not." Darryl then lay down in his sleeping bag. "Goodnight Zak."

"Goodnight," Zak sighed more questions beginning to sprout from these two new people. But he held them back. He didn't want to get attached or feel anything for these people. He was just staying with them for the night.
