CHAPTER 1

All the students gathered into the building for the first day of school. Easily, you could pick out the jocks, the cheerleaders, the loners, and the punks. Kaci held her bag and started to go inside the building, when she was suddenly stopped, "KACI!!! I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN SO LONG!!" Autumn shouts, giving Kaci a bear hug. "Nice to see you too Auttie!" Kaci says, wanting to go inside and not be late for class. Once she got to her locker, she entered to code and put her bag inside. She looked at her watch; 8:15. She had 15 minutes to spare. She started walking down the staircase and went to the cafeteria. She sat near the corner and started drawing in her sketchbook. Ever since that realistic dream, she could not stop thinking about if it was fantasy or reality. When she was just about to add the final touches, the ball rang, signaling that it was time for class. She grabbed her Math book and headed for class.

CHAPTER 2

She opened the door to Mrs. Rogers' room. She wasn't in the room, in fact, she was the only one in the room. In no intention to get worried from the abandon-ness of the room, she went to the back, corner of the room; her favorite spot. She opened her sketch book and proceeded her final touches. An hour went by, and no one went in the room. At this point, Kaci got worried. She tried to calm her anxiety by exploring the room. There were 3 average windows near the west wall. Mrs. Rogers' desk was near the front of the room, piled with papers. The desks were aligned in a square. The floor tiles were all cream white, except one near her desk, which was mildly cracked and was black. Suddenly, a small, purple light shined from the back of the room. Interested of what she discovered, she headed near the back of the room.

CHAPTER 3

She looked at the weird purple light deeply. It looked as if trees and unicorns were inside that tiny ball of light. The light ball was perfectly spherical; not a dent out of shape. She was just about to reach for it when she was interrupted by someone bursting into the door. "Oh, well nice to know that you're in my class." a familiar voice says. She turned around, "Where is everyone?" she asked. "They're all in the gym. Did you forget about the assembly in the morning?" Joaquin says. "Ohh..........well, crap," Kaci says, feeling embarrassed, "Why are you in here anyway?" she asked. "Autumn kept on talking about how you might have died or was kidnapped or was abducted by aliens, and I got tired of it so I went to find you so she would shut up." he explained. "In that case, we should head back to the gym now, shall we?" Kaci asked. "Yeah," he replied, as they headed down the hallway, but Kaci kept a reminder to find out what the mysterious light was.
