The next day, they started into the mountains.

Thorin had told Snowlily to stay with Dwalin so he would be free to help Fili, Kili, and the others, if needed.

Dwalin didn't complain.

When the ledge split, Snowlily and Kili were headed for the face of a cliff.

Dwalin, Thorin, and Fili yelled at the same time.

"Snowlily! Kili!"

"Kili! Aunt Snow!"

"Snowliliy!"

You can probably guess who said what.

When they fell, Dwalin, Thorin, and Kili ran forward, but before Dwalin embraced her, he remembered that they couldn't tell Thorin yet.

As they made their way to a cave, Dwalin and Snowlily were talking softly.

"When are we going to tell him, Snowlily? We have to soon. I could hardly keep myself from kissing you earlier."

"Tonight. I have a plan, just trust me."

"Ok."

He check to make sure no one was looking, and intertwined his fingers with hers, kissing her forehead.

They finally got to the cave Kili and Fili found, and Kili came up behind Snowlily and Dwalin.

"I saw that." he whispered, causing his aunt to jump.

"I don't care. We're telling him at some point tonight."

"Ok then Aunt Snow."

An hour later, Snowlily, Dwalin, and Thorine were sitting in the back of the cave, and Thorin had an arm around his sister.

Then he noticed she was messing with something.

"Snowlily, what is that?"

"My new ring. Do you like it, Thorin?"

"That's strange. It looks just like Dwalin's that he made right befo- My God Dwalin! My sister? You told me it was... How long has it had her name engraved in it?"

"Since I made it the week leading up to her birthday." Dwalin grinned.

"Why didn't you two tell me before?"

"Well, I didn't want you to be mad at Dwalin."

"I'm not mad! It took you two too long to get engaged! I've been waiting for it to happen since I introduced you two!"

"You have?" Dwalin asked in shock.

"Yes! Balin has too!"

"Oh wow. And to think, I didn't even think of her in that way untill a month or two before she came of age."

"How long have you like him, Aunt Snowlily?" Kili asked.

"Since Thorin introduced us." Snowlily replied, blushing badly. She never told anyone that.

Dwalin slipped his arm around her waist and she slid closer to him.

A few minutes later, Kili asked something he hadn't asked in a while

"Aunt Snowlily, will you sing to us like you used to?"

"Sure Kili."

Just off of the two-lane where the school bus used to stop

Later on that summer we went to the county fair

They had a brand new roller coaster and everyone was scared 

It was two bucks to experience the thrill

She said ‘come on boy let’s get in line I’ll ride it if you will’

Dwalin kissed her, and then they both laid down.

He slipped his arms around her waist and held her close, glad he could finally do so.
