Blushing boys and playful pups
Thomas sat on his couch, scrolling through his social media. Funny dog videos filled his screen and he knew Patton has for sure hacked his Instagram. He was just sitting and relaxing until Logan popped up beside him. Thomas flung himself to the other side of the couch in fear, nearly dropping his phone.
"Patton wants a dog," Logan said, straightening his glasses.
"Give a guy a warning will ya?" Thomas teased breathly, heaving over the couch. He sat up and took a breath, "Anyways, what about Patton?"
"He wants a dog," Logan repeated, picking up Thomas's phone and going through the search history. How to convince your son to want a dog. How to convince your friend to buy you a dog. How much are pugs? How much are corgis? How much does dog food cost? Thomas's search box was filled with dog-related questions.
Thomas sighed, "I really want a dog too! The only problem that I don't think we can afford it."
Logan sighed, "As much as I want to tell you "you're right and that we shouldn't", I can't. For some reason, I have a strong desire to make Patton happy and the thought of saying no to him makes my heart beat increase and precipitation to form on my hands and forehead."
Thomas started at him for a long time before replying, "Logan, do you like Patton?"
Logan looked at him, "Well, of course I do. Did I not just tell you I could never hate him? The thing is, I like Virgil too, but I have no problem saying no to him."
"That's not what I mean," Thomas sighed, pinching his nose with a defeated smile, "Like, like like him?"
Logan looked at him, trying to make sense of him, "You meant, like like like him? Isn't that what you just said except with excess likes?"
"Do you want to be in a relationship with him?" Thomas asked, listening as silence struck the room as Logan pondered this question.
Logan coughed awkwardly, "I, I guess I'd like to advance our relationship more than I'd like to admit."
Thomas wiggled teasingly, "Ou! When ya gonna tell him?" he asked, resting his head on his arms in an intrigued manner.
Logan chuckled, "Never, it would be best to keep our work professional so that we aren't all goo-goo on camera. Plus, I wouldn't get any work done if I was constantly daydreaming about him."
"By the sound of it, you probably already do," Thomas teased, giggling as Logan looked at the camera with a bored expression.
"As I was saying," Logan said, desperate to change the topic, "We should go visit a place with dogs so he can at least be around dogs, I feel like it would improve his mood by 36.72%."
"What about the dogs Roman conjured?" Thomas asked.
"The dogs that Roman "makes" are just a figment of your imagination, and only last for a month. It's hard to bond with something that only stays with you for a short amount of time, but Patton tries. It hurts to watch." Logan admitted, feeling a sinking feeling in his chest.
"Oh, well I'm sure there are some local places we can look up to adopt a dog, I'm sure they will have some we can afford," Thomas says, standing up to grab his computer.
Logan rushed to his side, eagerly looking through websites for Thomas finally stopped to look at a local house with non-expensive pups for sale.
"What breed are they? How long do they live?" Logan asked, pulling out his phone to do some research.
"Chill down there Alexander Hamilton," Thomas teased, clicking on the website.
"My name is not Alexander Hamilton. Also, I would chill but you refuse to turn the air conditioning on," Logan said bitterly, gesturing his hand towards the vent.
"Sorry, I'll do that in a bit," Thomas said, writing down the address of the person giving away the dogs, and standing up, "but we have some dogs to buy."
After a few exchanged text messages and a half an hour drive, Thomas pulled into the driveway with Logan safely in his head. He walked up the driveway and knocked on the door, revealing a nice 30 something-year-old woman to open the door.
"Hi! You must be Thomas," she greeted happily, opening the door and gesturing him to come in.
"Thank you," he responded, walking in.
"So I can make you an offer of $150 for these pups," she said, sitting down, "This might sound like a lot, but know these pups usually sell for $800 per pup."
Thomas nodded, "I understand, but I would like to see the dogs before I buy them, may I please have a look?"
Logan smiled, Thomas was acting so mature today! At this rate, he'll be ready to go back to college in no time!
Thomas followed the woman down the hallway, thanking her as she excused herself to go take care of her kids. The second she shut the door, all of the sides came to play with the pups.
"Oh my god! I swear I'm about to scream!" Patton said excitedly, looking at the dogs in front of him.
"Take your pick Patton, this is going to be your dog," Logan said warmly, stepping closer to him.
"Oh thank you, thank you, thank you!" Patton squealed, wrapping his arms around Logan.
Thomas and Logan made eye contact, Thomas giving him a teasing smirk and thumbs up. Logan rolled his eyes and allowed himself to be hugged by Patton, even though it caused his face to heat up and his heart rate to speed up.
Patton then let go of Logan, trying not to stare at him. "Logan, I feel like since you've put so much work into this, you should help me pick the dog," Patton said, trying to calm his nerves. Patton used every ounce of courage he had and took Logan's hand into his own, feeling himself smirk as Logan blushed.
"Oh, uh, sure," Logan said distantly, trying not to bring up the fact that Patton was holding his hand.
After an hour of playing with the pups, the owner of them finally remembered they were there, and politely asked them to pick a pup and leave so they could go to sleep.
The sides disappeared back into the mind, Patton bouncing on his heels.
"Oh thank you, guys! I love you so much! Thank you!" Patton squealed, bouncing around.
"It was all Logan," Virgil shrugged, sending Roman a glance that said, "Let Logan have this one."
Patton pounced onto Logan, smothering him in a hug. "Thank you! I can't believe you'd do this for me!" Patton said, nuzzling himself into Logan's chest.
Logan chuckled nervously, "Of course Patton, I would do anything to ensure your happiness."
Patton looked up at him and slowly started to lean in.
Logan blushed, looking at the others who were encouraging him to go for it. Using all the courage he had, Logan leaned down and kissed Patton gently, feeling although Patton could fall apart at any moment.
"I think that just leaves us to kiss, huh?" Roman teased, nudging Virgil playfully.
Virgil just rolled his eyes and scoffed, "That's like kissing someone in front of my dad."
After they got home from buying the dog and dog food, the sides and Thomas spent the rest of their time taking care of and playing with the dogs.
"The fans are going to love this! I sure do!" Thomas cried happily, taking pictures of the dog.
This was a brand new chapter in the Sanders Family book, and their lives were only going to get better as their relationships grew stronger.
(Sorry about that ending, I had no idea how to end it!

Second and most important, go check out the youtube channel Murphsen Family! (also known as Silver Moon) They have great videos that I fell in love with on the spot. I mean, just watch the trailer! How could you not want to watch it like 50 times? Seriously subscribing to them is probably the best decision I made all week XD
Plus, the people behind the videos are amazing and some of the sweetest people you will ever talk to like, holy crap. My cheeks still hurt from smiling XD
