Chapter 67 - The Final Act
"Katsuki! For the last time! I cannot take you with me! It's now or never!" She argued with Bakugo who is gripping her wrist tightly.Green meeting red ones into a heated staring contest.
"It won't even f*cking work! I'll stay with you even if it's the last thing I goddamn do!" he shot back and Nekta swung her hand to grab his head but Bakugo saw it coming. He grabbed her other wrist and Nekta gritted her teeth together, "Just stop, Nekta!"
"No! I've made a promise to Aniki and I tend to keep it!" She looked down and her hands started glowing red. Bakugo's eyed widened and let go of her wrist, jumping back. She felt her tears flowing down her cheeks but didn't bothered wiping it away.
Under the moonlight, on a balcony of abandoned apartment building, Nekta decided one thing. She will let Bakugo go free. Free from villainy, free from insanity, free from sin and most of all, free from her. But the blond is being stubborn and won't let her take the emphatic parasites off his mind.
He couldn't take her reason. She wanted him to go back to the heroes and make them assume that he is truly brainwashed. She said it was for the best.
"If you continue on with me, you'll be brought to jail. Shoto was already caught. Spinner, Mr Compress and Toga, too! I can't bare getting you behind bars with them!" She continued to argue but Bakugo kept quiet. He walked towards her and leaned down to her face. The scar she acquired from her battle with Iida is very evident on the side of her forehead and the blood is already dry.
Clothes are tattered and now missing a left sleeve. Her pants are cut into shorts and her hair was a mess. But one thing's for sure. He loves her f*cking imperfections.
"I won't be," he said, surprising Nekta at how gentle he said it with his deep voice. She looked into his eyes and noticed the concern in them. She don't know if she's seeing an illusion but she doesn't care. She feels warm and fuzzy inside, knowing he actually cares. Even if it's just the parasites' fault.
"Katsuki...please," she pleaded. A thing she had never done before. She cried and Bakugo put his hand on her cheeks and she held it. She gave his hand a little squeeze, the glow disappearing.
"I f*cking love you, Nekta," it hurts hearing him say that. But she snuggled and smiled.
"This thing between us. What you feel about me, it's all just an illusion. An illusion I brought to myself. You wouldn't be saying that if you were your normal self. The Bakugo Katsuki that's so into becoming the number one hero and not the Bakugo Katsuki who clings on me. Katsuki, I don't need to say it, but I f*cking feel the same way, but knowing that it's all just synthetic hurts me. Please, just...just let me do it."
Bakugo was offended she thinks that this is just a fantasy brought by her quirk. But he can't blame her. She didn't have the control on the side effects of her parasites. She didn't wish to get Bakugo to fall for her. She didn't wish to fall for him either. Seeing her like this just makes him feel guilty.
She's the one with an authentic feelings and she's the one who will carry on the burden. Clicking his tongue, he pulled her against him and she clenched her fists on Bakugo's shirt.
"I'm sorry," saying those words feels so foreign, "but let me have this last night with you. Just one and you can do what you want."
Silence answered him and after a few moments, she could feel Nekta nodding. He led her inside an apartment and saw it completely deserted. However, there is a rack on one side and the bedroom still have it's bed.
He turned to Nekta and was surprised when she started kissing him. He could feel her tears and kissed back so she wouldn't waste her efforts. The kiss turned into a make-out session. One that they usually do secretly sometimes since they got together. But they won't separate with just that.
There is no turning back now. As they stand there by the door, Nekta locked the door and closed the windows. Bakugo's hand made their way to her torn jacket's zipper and pulled it down. Bakugo bit her lower lip which caused the red head to moan. Soon, her upper body was left with her undergarments. Bakugo pulled away and took a look at her.
"I wouldn't hold back."
"Hell, you shouldn't."
She ripped his shirt off, making the blond smirk. He started attacking her neck and carried her bridal style to the bed.
It would be their first and last. One thing that maybe only Nekta will treasure in the future. She didn't expect to fell in love. She was set to revenge. To avenge her family for the unfair system of the society. To break down their so called equality that they believe yet hypocritically implement. That's her goal, yet she met this explosive blond.
At first, she doesn't care, but he showed signs that concerned her. As a leader, her instinct clicked in that she would be needing to tend to him, later discovering his Stockholm Syndrome. Then it all started. He paid her more attention and she did the same back. It was just rivalry between them. They get annoyed easily by each other's antics, but things changed.
She saw a side of him that goes beyond his tough facade. The side that shows he cares, his beliefs. His darker side. She was interested at first so she came back, not knowing she was not staying in the same place and slowly sinking even deeper every time.
It took her an opening up with her mother to fully embrace her growing infatuation towards the younger teen. And here she is, making love with Bakugo Katsuki. Her first love.
Bakugo, no matter what people say, loves her. She's rotten, they say. She's insane, they say. She's evil, they say. But f*ck all of them. Even he can stand up for Nekta and flash his middle finger to those who dares to hurt her. Even her middle finger can pose enough threat to a whole infantry.
He knew Nekta. She's bossy, strict and intimidating. She's negative in many aspects, but everyone have their imperfections and those are just the surface of Nekta's imperfection and he loves all of it. She lost her family on a young age. She was shun by society at the age of four. She was raised for revenge and she swear on it.
He's just some hero kid who she drag in because of need of strong allies. He's just like the third wheel between Nekta and her goal. He loves her, but he's afraid that it may just be the parasite in his mind.
"Katsuki," Nekta pants and Bakugo looked at her. She touches his sweating face and red lights illuminated from her hands. He clicked his tongue as he feel something getting pulled out of his mind, "Carry on."
With one last attempt, Bakugo grunts as Nekta moans loudly and smiles sadly.
---
Akuma limps towards the warehouse. He knew Eri will be left alone in it and Uraraka is still trapped in the separate place. Shigaraki escaped without a trace. Dabi fed off the heroes off him as the other got captured. Todoroki also. He decided to go with Shigaraki's plan and let himself get taken by the heroes. However, he needed to do something first. The heroes will be here in a matter of an hour.
He saw that Eri is hugging her knees in one of the crates in and looks awefully worried. Sensing his presence, Eri jumped off the crate and ran to him.
"Deku!" She hugged him and Akuma grunts a little before hugging her back. She sobs and looked up at the teen, "What happened? Where's Nekta-nee?"
"She's...she's not coming back. But I need you to do something," he said. He grew to love Eri even though he is twisted. And he can't forgive himself if she gets hurt, "You remember the way to the road?"
Eri nodded, "Good. Then go to the road and keep going to the left. If you see cars, ask them for help. They'll help you and you will be safe."
"Are you coming?"
"I can't, Eri-chan. You should go. Ochako-neechan will follow, okay?" Eri nodded and gave Akuma one last hug before running to follow his instructions.
He stood up and winced as he felt pain struck his left leg. Ignoring it, he went to the separate structure and unlocked it. Inside he saw Uraraka, looking scared and traumatized. When she saw him, she instantly back away towards the wall.
"I'll let you go, Ochako-chan," he said, calmly and coldly.
"As if I'll fall for that again."
"Deku and I agreed on this. I will let you go and we will surrender to the heroes. Me and Deku," he said as he slowly approach her. She still doesn't buy it so Akuma let's Midoriya take over.
"It's true, Uraraka-chan. We came to an agreement where you will be safe," Midoriya's concerned tone said. Uraraka is still unsure because she was already filled by this and look where it got her.
She scooted farther away as the boy slowly walks towards her. She felt more trapped when her back finally hit the wall behind her.
"Get away from me!" She yelled at him but he didn't stopped. He only did when he is a feet away from her. He hates violating her personal space, but this probably be the last time he'll ever see her again.
"I'm so sorry, Uraraka-chan," he muttered and bit his lower lip, looking down. Tears started falling from his eyes and his fists balled up into a fist. Uraraka looked dumbfounded.
"I failed. I wanted to protect everyone. I want to get Kacchan and Todoroki-kun back to UA and everyone. I want to get you to safety but I failed. Terribly. To think I wanted to be a hero. To think I wanted to be like All Might. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. I'm hoping you'll forgive me but I know you won't after all I've put you through. I'm sorry because I'm not strong enough to face Akuma, Syren or the other villains. I'm sorry for being so weak."
He continued to sob, feeling all his tears rushing down his face. Akuma did not reacted even though he let him hear all that. He never did since they came into an agreement. To save at least a part of Uraraka Ochako. Even if she won't forgive them for doing everything.
"Deku," he felt Uraraka's soft hands on his cheeks and his eyes went wide. His green ones met Uraraka's brown orbs and they both stared at each other. He saw fear in them. He saw confusion and slight of doubt. But he saaaw something else that he can't believe, "Don't say that. You're strong and the bravest person I know. I could never get myself to not forgive you. You're a very special...person for me."
"Uraraka--" he was cut off by Uraraka kissing him. He was surprised and hesitant at first. He don't know what to do, but somehow, his instincts know. He kissed back.
He snaked his hands around Uraraka's waist and pulled her close. Uraraka did the same but with her hands around his neck. It was sloppy but worth it. Uraraka sensed the similarity between Akuma and Deku, but also the difference. Deku feels more right.
"Uraraka-chan..." He whisperes, his forehead pressed against Uraraka's, "This will be the last time we'll ever see each other. I...we have to atone for all we have done. Both Akuma and I."
"Deku," she said, hughing him and burrying her face into hid torn shirt, "Please... There must be another way."
"I'm sorry, Uraraka-chan," he apologizes, wrapping his arms tighter around her.
"I love you, Deku," those words hit him like a wrecking ball, "I realized that way before you took me here. I was never able to tell you that. Until now."
"I...We feel the same way."
Uraraka pulled away from their hug. Her teary eyes glaring at him.
"Stop including him in this as if he's also you! He's not someone to be compared or lump with you, Deku. Akuma...Akuma is not you!"
"Akuma is me. And I am Akuma. We share the same body."
"But that's the limit, Deku! Only your body! He's a villain, you're a hero! He's evil! You're good! He's Akuma and you are Deku!"
Midoriya's eyebrows furrowed in worry.
"We have go accept each other. If we don't we'll die. That's the thing about my condition and my quirk. It will die with us if we don't do that," he said, "I'll you take with Akuma."
"Deku, no!"
"You have to. He'll make you understand," Uraraka's eyes showed intense fear and it pains him to see it, "Trust us, please. Trust me."
For a second, Uraraka hesitated. She'll be facing him again. The person she have to put up to for months just to help and save everyone. The person who hurt her so much. She wanted to refuse, but looking at Midoriya, she feels like she can trust him.
"O-Okay."
Mkdoriya closed his eyes and when he opened them, they weren't round and innocent. They were fierce and bestial. The total opposite of the ones she love.
"Ochako, I don't like hurting you, but as much as it pains me, Deku and I must go and leave you," he took one step and Uraraka flinched. But that didn't stopped Akuma. He raised his hand towards her face and finally kissed her. This time, he took time to wait. And she returned it.
Midoriya is innocent and gentle while Akuma is hungry and rough. Total opposite, but Uraraka felt oddly weird. She feels the same for both boys. Two boys sharing one body.
Akuma still is Midoriya. Just with a different mindset.
Feeling daring, Uraraka's hands fell to the boy's abdomen and carries them earning a moan from him. He felt Akuma smirk in the kiss and his hand found it's way to her bottom part, squeezing it. She yelped, cheeks tinting pink.
The sexual tension had risen between the three of them and in the cold night, they decided to show how they love each other.
---
The task is finished. Bakugo is asleep on the bed, all parasites removed from his mind. Nekta pulled away from his grip and crawled out of the covers.
She took her clothes and slipped them on her. She took one blade from her stock and started using it to cut her hair, short. When she was done, she looked into the mirror and saw herself, now with a short, chin length hair. The excess of her hair on the floor and she didn't bothered cleaning it.
She turned to Bakugo and her ryes soften with a saddened expression. Seeing the great Syren showing emotions is once in a blue moon and no one is here to witness it. She walked towards Bakugo and kissed his forehead before walking out of the window and disappearing into the shadows.
Meanwhile, Uraraka caught up with Eri along the road and some police cars rushed to the direction they came from.
"Eri-chan!"
"Ochako-neechan!" She cried into her arms and the teenager hugged her. One car stopped and out came Nedzu and Aizawa. Aizawa looked beaten up and hurried to their aid.
The radio in the patrol car went off, saying something about the villain Akuma now apprehended. Uraraka hugged Eri tighter and looked down, tears almost falling from her eyes.
