Chapter 47 - The Cause for Vengeance

"Who was that girl to you, Nekta?" Asked Shigaraki after the Marauders reported to him about the encounter with a girl who seem to have a quirk that can change the course of gravity. And by the looks of it, she can't control her quirk very well. Or at all.

"Aniki, you already know my story. I know you have an idea of who it is," she told him, avoiding from further interrogation. She don't want to go storytelling her life and deal with their questions and probable sympathy.

"Master said that the others would have to know more about you soon enough," Shigaraki said and scratches his neck vigorously. Nekta clicked her tongue and grabbed her brother's wrist to stop him.

"But I have no plans on telling them anything!" She screamed, eyes glaring straight onto the blue haired male's red hues. The hand that covers his face irritates Nekta all of the sudden. She have high respect for Shigaraki Tomura because he accepted her as his adopted sister, but there are just those times that he rubs her on the wrong side.

Her outburst caught the attention of the tenants of their apartment unit. They all peeked and saw Nekta bravely clutching Shigaraki's wrist. Normal people who knows about his quirk would be terrified, but Nekta is anything but a normal person.

"Nekta," the league's leader said with authority, "whether you like it or not. They will know."

She gritted her teeth and harshly let his wrist go before stomping out of the room. Eri worriedly watch her go and ran towards her. The little girl followed her to their room and the door slammed shut. Meanwhile, the rest of them turned to their leader who is casually sitting on a stool and scratching his neck.

"Hey, hand-f*uck. Tell us everything!" Bakugo demanded, stomping towards the blue haired villain to which he merely acknowledges.

"Kacchan! Quit it! Like f*ck he'll tell you!" Midoriya scolded and pushed the blonde away. The green haired turned to Shigaraki and felt himself shiver at his gaze. His red eyes glares at him as he slowly remove the hand on his face.

"Nekta grew up very edgy. No question about that," the teal head said and the man's scarred face greeted the Marauders. Ever since they entered this organization, they have never seen Shigaraki's real face and having to see it now, it surely gives them the impression of darkness.

"She knows when to say things and when to hide, however at the moment, she's in denial," Shigaraki continued and stood up, carefully handling his father's hand, "I'm not giving you sh*ts about her. I'm a dirty villain but I'm going to respect my sister."

With that, he left them there. Bakugo gritted his teeth and sparks of explosions ignited in his palms creating dark smoke.

"That B*tch is starting to get irritating again," Bakugo said as Todoroki turned to Dabi who is glaring at the blonde. The stare is rather dangerous and the younger flame user is fully aware of what may happen next.

"No one's asking your opinion, moron," Dabi muttered, but he purposely made it louder so that Bakugo can hear it. This comment made Bakugo glare back at the cerulean eyed villain. He clutches his collar and pulled him down.

"Got something to say, huh punk?"

"I'm just saying, you have no responsibility on whatever  Nekta is holding on. She's a woman of business do meddling in her personal matters is pointless," Dabi said, coolly and smirked, "Oh? What's this? Is Bakugo Katsuki concern about Nekta all of the sudden?"

He taunts and Bakugo pushed him violently against the wall and glared ferociously at him like a savage beast. On the other hand, Dabi stared back with a challenging glare.

"Kacchan!" Midoriya growled and pushes them apart but they refrain from pulling away.

"Dabi. I think this isn't a good idea," Toga said in a low voice and Twice nodded vigorously as he strikes a pose.

"We may be villains but we are still under someone's commands. Oh sure! You two can fight, he say!" He said. But the two didn't stopped. For a moment, Bakugo clutches his shirt even tighter and Dabi realizes one thing. Bakugo didn't deny his claims.

"Tch, fine. You have your own perspective, but I don't give a sh*t of whatever happen to you, you explosive piece of sh*t," Dabi told him and pushed the teen away. Bakugo almost fell down but regained his balance as the burnt villain walk away. Toga and Todoroki exchanged glances before following Dabi to make sure he won't do anything stupid. Or maybe go along with him if ever he does.

"Kacchan," Midoriya's voice is trailed with authority as if he does. Twice and Mr Compress looked at him, quite surprise of his tone. He glares at Bakugo and even his posture signifies some authority that even the two older villains feel like they're under his command.

Bakugo scowled at the green haired, not swayed by his change of tone and aura. In fact, he gave him a rebelling one.

"Now, what do you f*cking want?"

"Dabi's right about Nekta-senpai. It's no secret to us that you are currently pursuing her but Senpai is in a professional level. Just business. Nothing personal. If you think knowing about her past can woo her, think again," he said and turned his heels. He heard Bakugo click his tongue and spoke.

"Shut up. It's better if the b*tch just killed me a long time ago," this made the older villains turn wide eyes at him and Midoriya taking a glance back at the blond.

"Oh believe me as Senpai's right hand. She had plans."

---

The tension is up in that apartment. A few hours have passed since Nekta went into isolation, Dabi stormed off and. midoriya slapped Bakugo right into the face with the truth. And yet, nothing much interesting had happened yet.

Shigaraki entered Nekta's room a couple of minutes earlier and it has been a while after Dabi returned with the Toga and Todoroki in a jolly condition. Uraraka is sitting next to Midoriya who is watching the television in his Hawaiian shorts and dark green shirt. Honestly, she's also curious about Nekta's history but she decided to be quiet about it.

"Deku?" she called, quietly as the boy looked down at her with blank looking eyes. Well, that is a sign it's not hero Deku, "Who is Nekta to you?"

This question seem to poke interest in the boy and put the remote down while humming in thought.

"Well, she's a role model for me," he said, smiling and Uraraka's eyebrows furrowed, "She's the reason why I'm here right now. She is to me as Stain is to Toga and Dabi."

"And...?" She asked, accidentally. She realized what she uttered and gasped, clasping her hands over her mouth. Midoriya looked at her with a surprise look in his eyes. He gave her a sly smirk and leaned towards her as the girl lean away.

"What else are you thinking? That I have romantic feelings for senpai?" He asked and Uraraka blushed, shaking her head. Midoriya chuckled and caressed the girl's rosy cheeks, "Oh dear, Uraraka-chan. My adoration is already reserved only for you. That is the reason why I brought you here."

"What?" She muttered and the green haired chuckled and leaned away, leaving her hanging with that question.

The door of Nekta's room opened with Shigaraki exiting first and Nekta and Eri following. The little girl is holding Nekta's hand and smiling sweetly at the frowning teen.

"It's up to you now, Nekta. If your theory is correct, then we have to take action on it," Shigaraki said as his sister sighed and walked over to the living room where the rest of the league, besides Dabi, is waiting.

"Ochako, take Eri for a while. I need to talk to them," she said and Uraraka slowly nodded, standing up. She took Eri's hand and led her to her room. She took a side glance at Nekta who is onl her back facing her before walking off.

Nekta then turned to her brother and he nodded behind the hand on his face, walking away. Mr Compress decided to speak first.

"What is Shigaraki implying earlier about taking action on?" He asked Nekta as the girl turned to Bakugo who have a free space beside him on a couch. The blond instinctively scooted over and let the girl he have affection to sit beside him.

"Aniki and I were talking about my past. And..." She trailed off and leaned against Bakugo's shoulder in which the blond gulped at with a blush, "how I should break it down to you."

"Is it that important to know?" Midoriya asked, raising a brow. Nekta nodded, "Why?"

"It's because my family's quirk is strong and Aniki wants to take hold of it," she said, "Also. Since we have been together for almost a year now, I think I should be completely honest with you now. It'not fair that I looked into your background and you guys don't know me at all."

"Isn't being unfair's what a villain's all about?" Todoroki asked, they shushed him.

"So you're gonna tell or you're gonna tell?" Bakugo asked, impatiently earning an eyeroll from the girl beside her.

---

"I didn't grew up hating heroes. My parents were heroes in Latin America, but continued working in Japan before I was born. My dad was Zero Ramirez or the Molecular hero, 01 and my mom was Emily Santos-Ramirez and her hero name was Real Warp."

"Dad can change the weight of molecules of an object making it lighter or heavier and was excellent in combat. My mother's quirk, on the other hand, was feared by many," Nekta said, looking down. No one dared to ask a question and let the girl speak.

"She can change reality itself."

This single statement shocked them and Nekta decided to explain further.

"For instance, she can change the color of your hair without using any dye. She can make you rich in just a moment or change a lot more than that. She was part of the government's blacklist for that quirk."

"So that's why Shigaraki wants your family's quirk," Mr Compress said as Nekta kept silent. Bakugo sensed she still have something to say and decided to ask.

"Still got something to say? Hurry up and spill it," he growled, but Nekta didn't retorted. She's obviously not in the mood.

"I was a child star when I was three and my career is pretty big. I acted in many projects while my parents were away to their work. But when I turned four, I developed my quirk," she trailed off, leaning away from Bakugo's muscular shoulder and slumped on the couch.

"They first thought it was simply telekinesis and my parents were thankful for that since I did not inherit my mother's quirk. However, one day while in taping, I accidentally injected emphatic parasites on a co-worker. He went wild just after a contact with me and committed multiple crimes. When the heroes went after him, he committed suicide."

"His body undergone autopsy and they found a weird red parasite inside him that suddenly vanished. A month later, the same event happened with my wardrobe manager and they examined the parasite. That's when they knew it was me who made them crazy."

"My career went downhill at that point and I was dubbed as a Siren's child. People became cautious of me as if I have a contagious disease. My parents tried their best so that I won't get hurt and still be a normal kid."

Hearing her storytelling the hardship in her early life makes them sympathize for the poor teen. But they know Nekta doesn't need sympathy. She is a strong woman.

"I was also four when I had a sister," she said and the three Marauder's eyed widened. A certain young girl flashed into their mind, "her name was Sisly. And the girl that you saw last night, I think that was her."

"How are you sure?" Midoriya asked and Nekta chuckled lowly, as if finding something laughable.

"Unlike me, Sisly was born with a quirk. The time she started crying out of mom's womb, the course of gravity in the emergency room changed and it was a challenge to the doctors to do their job, upside down."

"Wait, so that's why you were so determined to find the source of the gravity change?" Todoroki asked and Nekta nodded. She then continued.

"My mom, Sisly and I all have dangerous quirks and were shunned by many people. It was challenging for dad to protect us from the judging world, but they stood strong in order to keep our family happy. And they succeeded. We were happy."

Then that was the time they felt the tension and heaviness in Nekta's emotion. Being a channeler, her emotion is a big factor to her quirk and it can affect the people around her. Maybe that is why she always make sure that she keeps her emotions in check.

"Until one fateful day when I was eight. There were government people and heroes in our house that came to talk with my parents and one of them was AllMight," the intense hatred of Nekta towards AllMight radiates in the atmosphere and even her expression says it. Eyebrows furrowed, almost meeting and eyes glaring full of anger and distress. She clutches her fist up to the point that she can feel her nails digging into her palm.

"I never looked up to AllMight like many other kids. For me, AllMight is just a simple hero with no great importance. He's just another hero just like my parents. I never paid attention to him. Until that day."

Nekta growled and her anger was channeled to the others. She didn't care much if she is not keeping her quirk under control. She need to let it all out and they have to feel her burning rage.

"The government thought my mother was a wolf in sheep's clothing, accusing her of being a villain. They blamed her for what happened to the bomb attack that happened near their agency. Of course my mom denied it and dad testified for her innocence. I looked at AllMight in hope that he can see that my mother is innocent and tell that to the government. I was hoping that being the most powerful hero, he can distinguish what is wrong and right. But I guess, I was wrong about that."

"He never said a word."

Red aura enveloped the girl and a wave of aura came out of her. Her anger for AllMight is sincere and intense.

"That's not just it. They wanted to take me and Sisly away because our quirk is not safe around people. Our parents won't allow it and they fought for us. There were five heroes that day. AllMight, Endeavour and three more I didn't recognized. They all fought against mom and dad as we try to run away. But before we could get out of the door, our house was already in chaos and my parents were easily defeated. AllMight standing beside their exhausted body. I could never forget the words he said that day. The words I will hold on to my entire life."

'You have been great heroes.'

Tears fell off Nekta's eyed as the wave of anger slowly disappears and the strong red aura dies down. She gritted her teeth, tears freely flowing down her cheeks. It's the first time they've seen her cry like this and with her emotion channeling towards them, they can't help but share her emotions.

"The next thing I knew, I was in a park. A fountain was being made and I made that fountain my home, carving on in while still wet. My mother probably used her quirk to change reality. No one recognized me and I can't find my family. A few months have passed and a single person gave me a new home. That was All-For-One. He took me in and I met Aniki and Kurogiri. They became my new family. They were villains, but I don't care. At least, they understand me."

They let the girl cry. Toga felt her cheeks wet and wiped her own tears away, feeling her own little villain heart sunk in sadness. She pounced at Nekta den hugged her and the girl leaned into her chest.

"My my. Nekta-chan have it tough too, huh?" She said, smiling sadly. Midoriya and Todoroki shared eye contact and stood up from where they were sitting and pulled Nekta up into a hug. Twice also jumped in.

"Oh, Nekta-san," Mr Compress said, patting her head, gently.

Bakugo silently watches them, not noticing his own tears falling from the sudden emotion she felt. Nekta has been keeping all of these in her? And he thinks his life was messed up when she came in. He didn't realized until now that Nekta, the person he claims to love, experienced worst and in the hands of the judgmental society of today.

---

Meanwhile, behind the wall that separates the kitchen and the living room, there stood Dabi, listening to Nekta's life story right from the start. And by the corner of the hallway, Uraraka stands with tears flowing down her cheeks.

Both of them, felt the wave of emotions the girl released and sympathized for her. And now, they know her cause for vengeance.
