Chapter 45 - Class 1-A
Class 1-A's guilt about not being able to do anything to save and help their abducted classmates still lingers inside each one of them. Despite enjoying their usual class, no one can shake the feeling off them. Whenever they are in the dorm, the supposed rooms for the four of their friends somehow haunts them. Like they are forbidden hunted rooms in a horror film that no one dared to enter.
Although, like in horror films, there is always that one person in the group that will be brave enough to enter such room.
Tsuyu entered Uraraka's room and saw how organized it is, despite all of the building dust on the lampshade, desk and even on the bedsheets. Her friend really leave her stuff clean and tidy or else all of these would look like world war three happened in one room.
The frog girl frowned, sadly and sat on Uraraka's bed. They usually hang out here when they moved in the dorm. The girls enjoyed each other's company talking and laughing at lame jokes here like there's no problem in the world.
Sure, it still feels like it, but it was never the same now that Uraraka is out of reach.
"Ochako-chan..." She muttered her name, sadly. Tsuyu misses her best friend and she just hopes she also do. She remembered her promise to her. She will hide the truth until Uraraka finally get the job done.
Deciding to leave the room, she heard the window sliding open and she took a stance. After being attacked by villains multiple times, she had learned to stay alert at all times, under all circumstances.
She can't let her guard down now.
Turning to the window, she was surprised to see two figures climbing in like how burglars would. Nonetheless, she wants to rush in and hug one of them, however, she can't seem to move.
"Tsuyu-chan!" Uraraka called and ran towards her, attacking her with a hug. Tsuyu knew this is her best friend and she hadn't changed even though she is long exposed to the world of villains, but she can't seem to move. All because of the other company in that certain room.
"Ochako-chan...what is he doing here?" She asked, cautiously pointing at Midoroya who looks ashamed for some reason. He wears a black hoodie and pair of jeans with his red shoes while a black mask hangs on his neck.
If he put up his hoodie and wear the mask, the only thing that would give him away is his distinguished red shoes.
However, that's not the case why Tsuyu is being cautious. He's a full-pledge villain now. She still wants him as a friend and she is still devastated about losing a really good friend and asset of society, but the fact that he willingly do villainous action, even killing someone can't be ignored. Midoriya Izuku is now a villain.
"It's okay, Tsuyu-chan. Deku's holding back his villain self back for now. So we must hurry. Where are they?" Uraraka said, clearly in a hurry. Tsuyu was hesitant, but she trusts her. She trusts her friend.
"They're probably asleep now. I'll go wake them up! [Ribbit]" Tsuyi said, turning her heels and hopping out of the room. The other two followed as she went to wake up the girls first.
Yaoyorozu was a light sleeper so she was woken up easily and helped Tsuyu wake the others up when she informed her of the situation. Mina was drooling and a heavy sleeper so Yaoyorozu have to create a blow horn to wake her up.
Soon, the whole dorm is awake and went to the living room as Tsuyu instructed. They drowsily walked towards the venue, questioning the green haired frog girl about her sudden wake up call but all she told them was, "I think it's something important! Hurry! [Ribbit]"
And so they gave up asking and just obliged.
Soon, they arrived in the living room, some having half-lid eyes (i.e, Kaminari, Mina and Mineta) while some managed to squint their eyes open. Now, all of them turned wide awake when they came face-to-face with the surprise. Uraraka and Midoriya inside the dorm.
---
"What...what are you doing here?" Kirishima muttered, completely bewildered with the two's presence in the dorm.
Midoriya feels ashamed right now while facing his friends. Well, at least, that's what they are to him. He don't know what he is to them right now after all that he did.
'You're nothing, but a piece of sh*t to them! A sh*tty wimp of an a**hole!'
His other self argues while fighting him back for the control of the body whenever he takes control and thinks about it. This always happens between the two of them. They would argue and it would cause a migraine for the one in control. The villain Deku manage to hide his pain from others, but he barely does it and sweats like there is no tomorrow.
Even though he's conscious inside him, he don't know what is happening on the outside.
"Kirishima-kun, don't worry. We are not here to cause any trouble. We just want to discuss something with you," Uraraka said then looked at their faces that looks unsure, somehow.
"We trusts you, Uraraka. We just don't know about..." Iida stopped and looked at Midoriya, "him."
Midoriya feels hurt about that, but he understands. He'd caused so much trouble. Well, at least his name and identity did, but it doesn't changed the fact that he had already dirtied his hands and did horrible things. He can't blame Iida, or any of them for behaving like that towards him.
"Don't worry. He's the real Deku, I promise. The villain Deku is locked up at the moment," Uraraka ensured with a smile so that they can trust her words. But Midoriya can see how nervous she is just with those beads of sweat on her cheeks.
"Wait, locked up? You mean Midoriya is cloned?" Seto asked, raising his eyebrows in confusion. Uraraka turned to Midoriya, but he started talking before she could even move her head.
"The emphatic parasite that changed me, Todoroki-kun and Kacchan all gave us mental illness. Mine is Dissociative Identity Disorder that creates another person inside of me to share the body and mind with. In short, the villain Deku is not in control right now and is stuck inside of me," Midoriya explained and it caused different reactions from the group of friends.
"But does he..." Kaminari gestured around the group, "know about this?"
"No. Not at all. If one is in control, the other does not know what happens on the outside unless the one in control tells," Midoriya said as they looked at each other as if having a mental conversation. Midoriya stood there, nervous for what they might be thinking.
Do they believe him? What if they don't? Would they tell Aizawa about this? He could get arrested even for a minor. He already built a bad reputation in the press and a little mistake in action could get him behind bars.
He flinched when he felt something warm enveloping his hand. Turning to his side he saw Uraraka smiling encouragingly at him. Looking down, he saw her holding his calloused hand and squeezing at to ensure him that everything is going to be fine.
"They're our friends. We should trust them," she whispered quietly and Midoriya smiled sheepishly, squeezing back. This made the brunette smile, knowing that he appreciates her comfort and company.
"Well, if that's the case," Kirishima said with a frown and walked over to Midoriya. Midoriya now look straight at the red head's eyes. He never noticed how much he grew over the pass few months. At the moment, he's around Bakugo and Todoroki's height now.
Midoriya is waiting for Kirishima to do anything, and when it happened, he felt pain on his head and weight on his shoulders.
"You idiot! We missed you, man!" Kirishima's voice boomed and Midoriya looked at him, seeing that he is smiling widely. He isn't surprised as much he is when he looked over to the others who happily ran to them for a group hug.
They rejoice for their return with tears being shed and scoldings courtesy of Tenya Iida. Midoriya and Uraraka exchanged eye contacts and smiled. They really are their friends.
"How about...Bakugo and Todoroki?" And someone would have to ask that and ruin the moment. Uraraka and Midoriya thought they were ready to answer that anytime, but after the warm welcome back, they seem to be out of the right condition to do that now.
"Way to ruin the moment, idiot," Jiro said to Kaminari who scurried away from the music-loving girl.
"It's alright, Jiro-chan," Midoriya said and looked down, "I'm sorry to say this, guys. But Kacchan built a relationship with Nekta and will do anything to protect her. Todoroki-kun really loves tormenting people and is now an apprentice of Dabi."
"The flame guy who uses blue fire? That's him, right?" Yaoyarozu asked after remembering the raven haired male that accompanied Todoroki in fighting Endeavour a week ago. Uraraka nodded at her question. This news saddens the whole gang.
"All three of us are members of Team Marauders and I'm sorry for everything that we've caused. But what we have been doing are unforgivable. We've already dirtied our hands," Midoriya said, bowing. Again, remembering all the things his identity was forced to do, he really felt ashamed. Up to the point that he wants to wear a paper bag over his head until the day he die.
No one dared to speak to say anything against that. They know that what he said was true, but at the same time, they wished it weren't.
"I can't say it's alright, Midoriya-san. But I am glad that you, at least, managed to be ashamed and apologize," Iida said and Midoriya looked at him with a bewildered expression.
"Thank you!" He said, bowing again, now with tears in his eyes, "thank you for everything, everyone! And I'm very sorry! I'm so, so sorry!"
---
After all of that, Midoriya and Uraraka finally discussed their plan with the whole class. Thankfully, they would cooperate to bring the League of Villains to justice. Class 1-A is a force to be reckoned with.
"So, is the plan clear?" Uraraka asked and everyone nodded.
"We'll come back here, but not sure when. But as much as possible, do not let Aizawa-sensei know about this...yet," Midoriya said. He already broke a record today. He held back the villain Deku for three hours straight.
"Why?" Mina asked and Yaoyorozu answered it with her arms crossed.
"It's his job to report anything that is happening to the class to the principal or anyone in charge. If he find out about this, it will cause us big time," Midoriya nodded and noticed something at the corner of his eyes.
In the back of the crowd, only a few meters away, there stood a tan red head girl with a messy bed head. At first, her appearance terrified him because of the red hair, but he relaxes when he realized she's much younger than them.
"Who's she?" Uraraka asked, gesturing to the new girl in the room.
They all turned to the girl who seems to be around the age of thirteen to fourteen years old. She wears a white shirt with a panda print and a pair of black shorts for pajamas. Her wavy hair is cut short that falls to her shoulders and her innocent doe eyes displays bright green color.
On her arms is a stuffed panda with a bamboo stick hanging on its mouth.
"Oh. That's Akane. She's an orphan girl that's been taken in by the principal. She was assigned for us to look after while she still can't control her quirk very well," Mina said, skipping towards the younger girl's direction. The girl looked at her, as if wanting to say something but can't.
"She can't speak dough. But she can hear so she's not deaf," Kaminari said and earned a jab in the stomach by Jiro.
"What is her quirk then? Any why do you have to take her in?" Midoriya asked as Yaoyorozu give the girl a board and pen to use for writing.
"We don't know. She haven't activated it yet so no one knew except maybe Nedzu-san. And they said we should take care of her while they find a way to secure her. Whatever her quirk is, it might be very strong," Ojiro said and Akane turned her board around after writing her message.
Nice to meet you. I'm Akane. I don't know if that's really my name, but I like it.
The message was short and is written neatly like she is trained to write in calligraphy.
"Nice to meet you too, Akane-chan. I'm Uraraka Ochako and he's Midoriya Izuku," Uraraka said with a smile as the girl smiled back. Uraraka have the feeling of a weird kind of deja vu but shrugged it off.
