Chapter 40 - Team Gigantum

In every school, of course there are topnotcher students. Even KAI have them. Three most powerful and talented villains-in-training tight under their care stand up above the rest of the aspiring menace of the modern generation. But of course, Team Marauders and the League of Villains has a plan to overthrow them from their ranking.

'The continuous appearance of graffiti arts around the Saitama Prefecture makes the local government thought of a single movement behind this. According to some patrollers, the graffiti posses a common subject which is three giant, monstrous creatures with different varieties.'

Tagiri showed his class the news of the current happening in the Saitama Prefecture and paused the video to a shot of one of the said graffiti.

The grey haired teacher blew a smoke from his cigarette and faced the class with a bored look in his eyes. He puts his free hand in his pocket as the other holds his cigarette.

"So KAI officially declared the annual Clandestine about three days ago and it will last until next week. Some students have started their work and made their move on their projects while some are still here, in my class, waiting for me to kick their sorry a** off before they make a move," he rented, glaring at them, obviously pissed.

Some students don't even care about what he was saying while some just raised their eyebrows. Meanwhile, Midoriya raised his hand while twirling a pocketknife.

"Yes, Midoriya?"

"What is the Clandestine? Mind orienting us?" He boredly asked and Tagiri exhales smoke again and turned to a purple haired teen in the room, scribbling notes in his notebook.

"It's an academy-wide project that KAI do every year. It lets students partake villain jobs either by themselves, with a group or in collaboration with other professional villains. Student rankings will also be based by this," he answered and Todoroki tilted his head and raised one finger up.

"Wait. It's somehow like the fieldwork in UA," he pointed out and Tagiri clicked his tongue upon hearing the name of the hero school.

"Something like that but think of this like the mixture of that fieldwork and the Sports Festival," he corrected and Bakugo suddenly speaks.

"Students rankings are comprehended by this? Then who is the top students so far, huh?" He inquired and Tagiri smirked, surprising the newbies. Their other classmates also have the same reaction to their ignorance and all turned to the bright purple haired teen in the room.

Sensing the stares, the boy with purple hair and blue antenna flinched, turning around to meet the gaze of the Marauders. He has blue eyes and freckles on his face and he looks somehow timid and bored at the same time.

"I can sense attention on me again. How annoying," he muttered as one of his antennas twitch.

"We have the top three here in our class. Hoshi Makoto. He is the pride of our class and he can probably defeat you in a mock battle," one student said and Bakugo glared at her.

"What the f*ck you said? No sh*t can defeat me!" He screamed and Tagiri threw his finished cigar on a ashtray on his table as Midoriya eyes and analyzes Hoshi Makoto.

"He looks like an alien," Todoroki said, unwrapping a lollipop and putting it in his mouth, "he can beat us. Doubt it--"

"Never underestimate your opponent. Combat tip number 10, chapter 3, page 34 in Guide to Villainy. Don't ever judge the book by its cover, hero dungs," Hoshi said and the three turned to him with a bewildered look. He still have that timid look on his face yet his stare brought up a heavier weights on them.

With that stare and words he released, they can feel the truth in his statement. He is a force not to be reckon with.

And if there is such thing, it makes the Marauders feel excited and challenged. They were trained to love a good obstacle.

Lunch time in this school is not as chill as the lunch time in other schools. With the Clandestine taking place, many students are gathering to plan out their projects and how to get their ranking higher to be acknowledge by the school.

Meanwhile, the League of Villain teens are all in one booth with exception of Nekta.

"Eh? Bakugo, where is Nekta-chan?" Toga asked munching on her food as the sandy blonde boy flash her a glare.

"Do I look like a freaking lost-and-found booth for missing people?" He asked, spitting bits of his food and Toga pouted as she turns to Uraraka who is the only quiet one in their group.

"Nah. You look more like a devasted guy who got dumped," Midoriya insulted and a tick mark appeared on Bakugo's forehead. He was about to clutch the green-head's neck when the missing teen appeared with a book in hand.

"We'll be participating in the Clandestine," she said and lay down the blue book on their table and they stared at it.

"Count me out of that, Nekta. I won't do any villain activity no natter what," Uraraka firmly stated and Nekta let Todoroki scoot a little backwards and sits down beside him.

"That's fine. You're not even a member of the league anyway so ranking in a villain school is not your concern," she said and Uraraka clutched her spoon. Midoriya didn't even mind rebutting to his senior's insulting statement towards Uraraka and just took the book and opened it.

"Clandestine Annual Records. 20** edition?" He said and flipped to the first page to see a picture of three students in front of a large forest fire, sitting casually to watch it. Above the picture says:

Clandestine 20** Grand Champion, Team Gigantum

"Wait, so these are the top three of this school? If ranking is just as easy as setting the forest on fire, then I wouldn't have hated school," Todoroki said and Nekta reached out to Bakugo's bento and took a food out of it, much to his annoyance.

"Apparently, that's how they do it. Team Gigantum didn't teamed up with any villains last year yet managed to do their Clandestine project by setting a wild fire in the nearby forest," she said took another from Bakugo which the boy protested about.

"Get your own f*cking food, you b*tch!" He screamed yet Nekta didn't listened.

"It is said here that they managed to burn a one kilometer radius of the forest and manages to escape and hide their tracks from investigators. They really worked in secret," Midoriya said and Todoroki's blue hair bursted into flames.

"Nice."

"Who are these people anyway? Their work isn't as impressive as I expected," Toga said, looking unamused.

"Well that was just child play. This year, we are planning on a bigger project," a voice said from behind and the group looked at that certain direction and saw Miokia with other two goons. One familiar to them and another who's not.

"Like what? Shoving your head back into your mama's v****a?" Nekta smirked as Miokia looked irked by this, yet remained cool.

"Oh? You thought that was it? Or was that your plan? Oops, careful. Someone elese might've heard that and copy it," now it's Nekta's time to get irritated.

"Now now, dear. You wouldn't want to start a cat fight here, would you?" Asked a brown haired guy with a blue bandanna over his forehead and bright blue eyes. He cuts his uniform's sleeve to the middle of his upper arm and under it is a black top. He wears a pair of denim pants and converse shoes and he is above averagely tall.

"Nice call, Kyumre."

"Senpai, your attitude is annoying," Hoshi stated, looking typically bored.

"Senpai?" Bakugo muttered and glared, realizing something, "You're a first year in this school too, aren't you? How are you a top ranking student already when you haven't participated in a Clandestine yet? I say that's bullsh*t."

"Well, Hoshi is a fully pledge Team Gigantum members ever since he was still in Junior high and he helped us in our project last year so he deserves the title," Miokia said and hearing that makes the League of Villain members smirk.

"Well, then. We don't have a problem dominating this school then," Midoriya said as Toga nodded vigorously and Todoroki shakes in excitement. Seeing their immense confidence boost, Team Gigantum looks confused.

"If crimes are just the basis of ranking here, then it's in the bag for our League," Nekta smugly said as she and the rest stood up, showing off a dominant aura, "We'll dominate the Clandestine."
