Back in Sunset Cove for the summer after a two-year absence, Sydney Bennett can't wait to spend the next six weeks with the person she's missed the most - Boyd Bloom - doing what they both love the most: skateboarding.

Spending the summer with the legendary Bloom family whose ties run deep within the town is a total dream. And with the annual Skate Jam looming Sydney can't wait to get out there and shred.

But with Boyd's interest and attention elsewhere, Sydney finds acceptance where she least expects it. In a place where no one expects her to be and with those who might just give her a summer and cause worth fighting for, but one that might come at a hefty cost.
