Sprig was not awake. He didn't know if he could wake up, this chest took him who knows where. He was scared, what happened to him?, where was he?, What would happen if he opened his eyes?, was this a dream? Sprig finally opened his eyes and he saw that he was on the ground, there were some people looking at him and others just walking past him. He got up.

"Where am I? Oh my head it hurts." Thought Sprig.

"I need that chest. It sent me here, it can send me back right?" Thought Sprig

He looked around and realized the chest was nowhere to be found.

"Oh no where's the chest?!" This is bad!" Said Sprig.

"Uhh hello?"

Sprig looked behind her and he saw a girl with big brown hair, holding the chest

"Were you looking for this?" Asked the girl

"Oh my god! Thank you!" Said Sprig.

He tackled the girl with a hug and lifted her in the air

"You have no idea how important the chest is to me!" Said Sprig

The girl hugged back until Sprig finally let her go.

"I'm so happy, I could kiss you!" Said Sprig

The girl blushed and Sprig kept celebrating. She shrugged it off since he was so happy and probably wasn't even paying attention to his words.

"So, you got a name stranger?"

"My names Anne, Anne Boonchuy"

"I'm Sprig Planter. Put it there." Said Sprig as he stuck out his hand.

Anne shook it and they just smiled at each other

"Well my friend's waiting for me so I should get going, see you later." Said Anne as she waved goodbye and left

"She was nice, Well time to go home!" Said Sprig.

He opened the chest and closed his eyes

Nothing happened.

"Huh? Why isn't this working?" Asked Sprig

He opened the chest over and over but the magic wasn't there. He looked at the jewels and saw that the colors were gone. Sprig sighed

"Oh no! It can't stop working, Not now! I need to go home! I need to go to Polly and Hop Pop! I need to go back to them!" Yelled Sprig as he opened the chest over and over again

He got so angry that it wasn't working that he threw it to the ground. He sat down and started crying.

"I need to see them again 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭!" Said Sprig as he cried

"Looks like you're gonna be here a while." Thought Sprig

He was about to cry again when he got an idea

"I know! I'll do what Hop pop told me, Research! There's gotta be something about this chest in a ...... library!" Said Sprig

He ran all over the place in search of a library.

A couple hours later ..... 😆😆😆

"Okay I finally found the library!" Said Sprig

He then saw a sign in front of the door.

Librarians are now on Strike, All Libraries are now closed.

Sprig twitched his eye and slapped himself in the face

"Why. Did. It. Have. To. Close. Today. OF ALL DAYS!" Said Sprig angrily.

Sprig kicked the library door and was about to walk anywhere moping when he saw a sign in front of a school that read Saint James Middle School

"Maybe I can look at the library in this school, I wonder if they'll let me though." Said Sprig

He walked in the school and on the inside it was cozy. His school is way way smaller then this and he thought it was fascinating

"Can I help you?"

Sprig saw a tall woman in front of him

"I'm sorry, I saw this school and I was so fascinated by it" Said Sprig

"That's okay, where are your parents?"

"I don't have parents and my family isn't here." Said Sprig as he looked down

The woman realized what Sprig meant and started to feel sorry.

"Oh I'm so sorry. Well here in Saint James Middle School, we're running a Help the Kids Program." Said the woman

"Huh?"

"Well basically we get kids who families are poor or kids are orphans and we let them go in the school for free! And we also help the kids and/or their families find homes." Explained the woman

"Wow that's so nice." Said Sprig

"Yep, so do you want to go to the school?" Asked The woman

"Yeah sure." Said Sprig

"Great! You can start today, Our normal school day has just begun, Follow me." Said the woman as she started walking to her office

Sprig followed and saw a bunch of school supplies inside her office

"Here are some school supplies." Said the woman

She gave the supplies and a paper to him

"On the paper, it shows your classes and Your homeroom teacher." Said the woman

"Okay thank you!"

"I almost forgot, what's your name?" Asked The woman

"Sprig Planter."

Sprig left and the woman wrote him in the school system. Sprig walked around and looked everywhere for the classroom that said room 31A.

"I wonder where it- Oof!"

He crashed into someone and he fell to the ground.

"Ouch." Said Sprig

"Oh sorry." Said the person

Once Sprig got a good view of the person he crashed into, he saw the girl and got surprised. The girl was surprised too.

"Sprig?!"

"Anne?!"

"What are you doing here? What am I doing here? What are you doing here? Stop copying me!" Said Anne and Sprig at the same time

Anne and Sprig started laughing after a while of them saying the same thing

"Okay, what are you doing here?" Asked Anne

"I just started here in this school. What are you doing here?" Asked Sprig

"This is my school." Said Anne

"Oh my god, this is great! We can see each other now almost everyday now!" Said Sprig

Anne smiled at him. He was one of the first people (besides her parents) that was so happy to see her. Her friends were sometimes happy but they only liked seeing her so they could get in trouble together.

"I need to get to Room 31A, do you know where it is?" Asked Sprig

"I'm in that class, it's my homeroom class I can take you there if you want."

"Oh yes please." Said Sprig

Anne picked up Sprigs stuff and they walked to the class together. They talked and learned so much about each other and now they were friends. 😁😁😁

"I gotta say, this friendship stuff is amazing!" Said Sprig

"Didn't you have friends before you met me?" Asked Anne

"Uhhh"

Flashback

There were 2 little kids playing a game and they were perfectly fine. That is until Sprig showed up

"Guys guys guys! Check this out." Said Sprig.

He put his hands in the bushes to reveal a skeleton of a monster and it was eating Sprig!

"AHHHHH!!!!"

"AHHHHHH!!!"

"HELP IT'S EATING ME ALIVE!" Said Sprig as he was going inside it.

The kids yelled even louder and they were so scared that they were hugging each other.

"Ah I'm just kidding guys, Woah AHH!"

The kids yelled again, hugging each other tighter.

"Ha ha! Gotcha!" Said Sprig

"Sprig! You scared us half to death!" Said one kid

"Can't you just act like a normal frog?!" Said the other kid as they hopped away from Sprig.

Sprig looked down sadly. 🙁🙁🙁🙁

Today

"Kids and people in general don't really get me." Said Sprig

Anne gave him a smile and punched him lightly in the arm

"Well hey, they are missing out." Said Anne

Sprig held on to his arm and smiled at Anne. He didn't know friendship could feel so good. He felt like he was getting a hug from a cloud ☁️. Anne made him feel warmth that he never felt before and he didn't want it to end.

"Well here's your class. I hope we see each other again Sprig." Said Anne as she smiled at him.

"Well see you later Anne." Said Sprig

He punched Anne in the arm and went inside the class. Anne smiled and left, She just remembered she had to give the principal something.

Sprig told the teacher everything and she made him sit next to a different girl. The girl had blonde hair in a ponytail and she was clearly bored

"Hi there I'm Sprig."

Sprig put out his hand for the girl to shake. The girl shook it and looked at Sprigs face. She went from bored to interested.

"Hey there Sprigy, I'm Sasha."

Sasha winked at Sprig and Sprig being the oblivious boy he was didn't understand that Sasha was getting interested in him
