About a week later, the boys packed up their things and prepared to board the bus to a nearby city. If they won at least three out of the six matches, they would go on to the next competition. If they didn't, they would compete in city championships instead.

Zi Xuan sat with Yu Hao on the bus, mostly sleeping. He had been quite stressed the last week due to his family, but he still tried hard to prepare the team for this competition. They couldn't loose.

They ended up not rooming together, which was probably better for everyone, except for the fact that Yu Hao was stuck with Jia Jun, who, for some reason, hated his guts.

Yu Hao unlocked the room, groaning loudly when he saw that there was only one bed.

Fuck, why does every fanfiction come alive when I least want it?

He sighed, setting his stuff down by the chair next to the window. They had a nice view, but Yu Hao would rather enjoy it with anyone but Jia Jun.

They didn't talk at all as Yu Hao made tea and got ready for bed. He was trying his best to avoid the other guy.

He turned out the light, crawling under the covers and turning towards the window. "We should go to bed." Yu Hao said.

"Do you love Zi Xuan?" Jia Jun asked, and Yu Hao could feel his eyes boring holes into his back.

"Yeah, I do." He replied, closing his eyes.

"Do you know that his favourite colour is purple? But he never wears clothes in it because he thinks he can't pull it off?"

Yu Hao's brows furrowed. "I... I didn't know that."

"Did you know that he used to sit alone at lunch because he had no friends?"

"Uh..."

"Did you know that when he got injured, he didn't come to school for a month because he thought we would all be disappointed in him?"

"Why are you telling me this?"

"Because you said you love him." Yu Hao turned around, meeting two heartbroken eyes. "How do you dare say you love someone when you don't know them?"

"I know that..." he paused, thinking carefully. "I know that he gets cold at night. And that he sometimes sleeps with a heated blanket so that doesn't happen. I know that he hates wearing contacts because they hurt his eyes. I know that he loves dogs, his favourite breed is german shepherd. I know his celebrity crush is the rapper Vava. I know what his hands feel on late night walks. I know how his lips feel against mine in the morning." He said, glaring at Jia Jun. "I know Zi Xuan. I love him for everything he is."

Yu Hao then turned around, cuddling himself into the pillow and trying his best to fall asleep.

They won the match the next day, all the boys heading into the change room to shower. Zi Xuan sat in the foyer, waiting for Yu Hao to finish changing and reviewing the stats from today. He hadn't seen him since the morning, where he had said he didn't have a good sleep. Still, he played reasonably well, and the team's confidence was shot high. They were going to win this.

A girl slid next to Zi Xuan, smiling sweetly at him. He had no idea who she was, nor why she was there, but she did.

Li Yuan Ke knew exactly why she was sitting beside the manager of another volleyball team. She knew exactly what the plan was.

She knew Zi Xuan was rumoured to be dating the lead spiker, Yu Hao, and that they had a incredibly close relationship. Her job, to help her team win and move on, was to agitate Yu Hao, by making him think Zi Xuan was cheating on him.

She stared at the handsome guy. He was good looking, that was for sure, but he didn't look... gay. Maybe she had mixed up and Xia Yu Hao was a girl? On a boys volleyball team? That didn't make sense.

Zi Xuan turned around, smiling slightly. "Can I help you?" He asked, and Yuan Ke almost felt bad when she smiled.

"I'm here to-" she was interrupted when a tall, muscular guy leaned down and pecked Zi Xuan's cheek.

Zi Xuan completely turned from her direction, moving his notebook to the floor as Yu Hao sat down beside him. "You did so well today, baby." Smiled Zi Xuan, making Yuan Ke stand up and walk away from the two. She would try again tomorrow, but in her head she knew the captain of the other team, (known as the Eagles) would be mad at her for failing to bother Yu Hao.

"I think that you did so well we should sneak away from the group, just for lunch." Zi Xuan rubbed Yu Hao's dampened hair. "What do you think?" He asked, already knowing the answer by the look on Yu Hao's face.
