Madison ventured out of her room for the first time in days. She was still mourning the loss of Pietro, but she knew she needed to be strong for her baby. Whatever it was.

She should probably schedule a doctor's appointment once the world calmed down. When she came out into the living room and kitchen area, there was a blonde she didn't recognize. "Who are you?" Madison asked.

"I'm Captain Marvel, but you can call me Carol."

Madison rubbed at her face. "There's too many captains to keep track of...or...there used to be. So what are you doing here?"

"Trying to find Tony Stark."

"He's still missing?"

"Yeah, your buddies are trying to track him down so I have some idea of where to start looking for him."

"Well, good luck with that." Madison made herself a cup of tea.

"You should eat something," Steve told her.

"I'm not hungry, besides, it'll just come up later."

"Madison, you have to think of your baby."

Madison sighed. "Natasha told you."

"Of course she did."

"Has anyone heard from my father?"

Natasha appeared. "No. He's dropped off the map."

"So no one knows if he's alive?"

Natasha shook her head. "I'm afraid not, Baby Bird."

"So...I could be the only one left."

"Just you and..."

Madison put a hand on her stomach.

Bruce walked in with some Chinese food. "Hey guys, want some...?"

The smell of it caused Madison to bend over the sink and vomit up the tea she had been drinking.

Steve grabbed her curls and rubbed her back until she started dry heaving.

Natasha grabbed a glass of water so Madison could rinse her mouth.

"Sorry," Bruce apologized.

"This really sucks," Madison snapped.

Two and a half weeks later and Tony was still missing. Pepper was becoming increasingly worried.

Madison managed to find a doctor and confirm her pregnancy. She was on pre-natal vitamins and the doctor gave her a sonogram that she stuck to the mirror in her bathroom. Madison was walking around and found Steve in his bathroom, now clean shaven.

"Shame. I was starting to like it," Steve heard. He set the towel down as Madison walked up to him and wrapped her arms around him.

Since losing Pietro and finding out she was pregnant, she had gravitated towards him. Steve knew it was because of their previous relationship, but he also knew it was because she was the most comfortable with him. "I'm not going to ask you how you're feeling."

"Thank you. Feel a bit nauseous."

"What are you hoping for?"

"I don't really care. As long as they look like him." Steve sighed and kissed her head.

The small mirror in front of them started to shake.

"What the hell is that?" Madison asked.

"Stay here."

For once, Madison didn't protest, but she did follow him downstairs. She stood on the steps as they walked out onto the lawn.

Carol set down a spaceship.

Natasha, Steve, Rhodey, and Bruce ran out to meet her, along with Pepper.

Tony lumbered down the ramp with the help of someone Madison didn't recognize.

The person handed Tony off to Steve.

"I couldn't stop him," Tony told Steve. "Neither could I."

"Hang on. I lost the kid. Don't tell Madison yet."

"Tony, we lost. And Madison will find out sooner or later. There's something else...Madison's pregnant. It's Pietro's. He..."

Tony nodded, understanding.

Pepper rushed up to him and they hugged.

Madison tried not to be jealous, but she couldn't stop the tears welling up in her eyes as her hands came to rest on her stomach.

Tony leaned up against Pepper as they walked back to the compound.

Madison hugged Tony when he got close enough. It was odd to not see the white-haired speedster by her side.

"I'm so sorry," Tony told her, "If Thanos would have never gotten the Time Stone..."

"I don't blame you, Tony. I'm just glad you're okay."
