Alex's POV

I woke up to see bright lights in front of me,
'Is this heaven?' I think to myself as I try to pull myself up but everything hurts.

I think someone noticed my struggle cause I can hear feet walking towards me, then my hospital bed lifted.
I wanted to say thank you but my throat felt so bad it made me want to cut it out.

I grab my neck in shock and look up to see who helped me, it was John.

"Um, hey?" He said giving an awkward smile.
I tried to talk again but he stops me.

"Y-You- God how do I explain this." He has a concerned yet confused face on.

"I'm gonna tell this too you gently okay?" I nod in response starting to get worried.

"So you- you were in a car crash, and that cause you to get some problems." He paused for a second.
"So you- you can't talk anymore, a-and um. You can't walk anymore."

I start to get tearful and hold my hands to my mouth. John hugs me very gently cause of all the pain I feel, I hug back immediately.

I start to cry and cry and cry, that's all I was doing. I think about my future and how this will prevent any advantage I will ever have. I think about how people will treat me.

"Shhhh everything will turn out fine." John says, I want to tell him it won't be fine but I can't. I can't talk but I just cry.

Lafayette's POV

I waited in the waiting room with Eliza when the nurse called us.
"You can see him now." She said gesturing to the door.

We walked in and saw Alex crying while John Hugged him.
"Hey mon amie." I said Gently as I walk in, Eliza behind me.

"H-hey Alex." Eliza said nervously looking down.
"I-I just wanted to say I'm sorry, and- and I think you and John can work it out, and I'm sorry I rejected you-" I saw John give a shock face, and honestly so did I.

"Woah, woah, woah. tu as demandé à Eliza de sortir?" I asked Alex, he nodded in response looking slightly guilty.

John then looked at Alex with pain in his eyes, he then looks at Eliza and then back to Alex.

"I think we should let you too talk. C'mon Laf." Eliza says grabbing my hand and leading me out the door.

Maria's POV

Peggy invited me over to her mansion too work on homework and help distract her.

She recently called me earlier crying saying how her friend Alex got into a car accident. I felt bad for her and this Alex guy so I agreed to come over.

I knock on the door and she opens it and immediately hugs me,
"Hey." She whispers into my ear
"Hey, you ok?" I ask pulling her away from the hug and holding her shoulders.
"I-I'm doing, fine?" She said unsure if it was true.

We started having a good time, laughing, joking with each other, not doing homework like we planned. It was a great.

"Sooooo~" Peggy says looking over at me.
"Who's your crush?" She says with a sly smirk.
I feel my face heat up and I look down in embarrassment.
"I-I don't think I have one." I say in honestly.
"Oh." Peggy says sounding disappointed.

After some more talking it was time for me to head home.
"Well. I think I should get going."
"NoooooooOOOOOOO! Stay the night please!" She begged me in a whiny voice.
"I caaaAAAAANN'T." I said mocking her teasingly. She giggle then walked me to the door.

"Ok well, see you at school then." She says hugging me.
"Yeah see you." I said pulling away. As I started walking I heard her shout-
"LOVE YOU!" I stop for a second. My heartbeat started to pick up, my cheeks and tips of my ears felt warm.

I had a nice fuzzy butterfly feeling in my stomach.
"LOVE YOU TOO!" I shouted back at her walking away.
