HUNTER SAT IN HIS first Glee rehearsal, and Mr. Schue was passing out sheet music to everyone, namely. After inspecting the sheet music for a minute, Rachel had of course found a problem.
"Excuse me, this isn't the right key." The girl spoke.
"No. It's actually the right key." Mr. Schue told her.
"No, no," Rachel shook her head, "This is the alto part."
"Yep. Tina's doing the solo."
Hunter grinned at his friend, high fiving her in congratulations.
"I'm sorry, there must be some sort of mix up. I thought I made it very clear that anything from 'West Side Story' goes to me."
Hunter rolled his eyes at Rachel.
"Maria is my part!" The Berry girl exclaimed, "Natalie Wood was a Jew, you know. I've had a very deep, personal connection to this role since the age of one."
"I've been here five minutes and already want to slap her." Hunter groaned into Mercedes' shoulder.
"Well, I'm trying to shake things up a bit. Get us out of our boxes." Mr. Schue shrugged.
"You're trying to punish me." Rachel told him.
"I think you're being irrational." Mr. Schue said through gritted teeth.
"I think you're being unfair!" Rachel cried.
"I think you're being unfair to Tina, who might have been happy about getting her first solo." Mr. Schue said, gesturing to the said girl.
"Tina knows how much I respect her and I think she would agree with me that she's not ready for such an iconic role as Maria." Rachel exclaimed.
Hunter rolled his eyes for the umpteenth time, "Why because she's not a Jew? Because you don't have a snout, yet I still associate you with Miss Piggy.
Mercedes then interjected after looking over the sheet music, "Wait... I'm a Jet?"
"Is that bad?" Hunter asked her, "I know nothing about musicals."
Hunter never got an answer, as Rachel emotionally stormed out of the room.
"The more times she storms out of rehearsal, the less impact it has." Artie noted.
Mr. Schue sighed, turning to Tina, "Congratulations, Tina. This is going well."
Mercedes and Artie congratulated Tina for getting the solo, as Hunter turned to Finn.
"Seriously, what's a jet?"
"I dunno," Finn shrugged, equally confused, "But in this case I don't think they're talking about fancy planes."

Hunter walked through the hallway during lunch, hoping to get some tater tots from the cafeteria, when he passed the choir room.
Eyebrows furrowed, he backtracked, poking his head in, confirming that he had just seen what he thought he had.
"Quinn?" He asked softly, making the Cheerio look up from the spot where she was sobbing, sat on the piano stool, "I would ask if you were okay, but that's the stupidest question in the world." The boy said, awkwardly fiddling with the straps of his backpack.
Quinn quickly wiped away her tears, "I'm fine." She sniffed, not looking up from her lap.
"Quinn," Hunter said, almost in a whisper, slowly walking towards the fragile girl and crouching down in front of her so that they were at the same level, "I know we don't know each other at all, and you probably hate me, but I know you are most definitely not fine."
Quinn raised her head to look at him, "I don't hate you."
"You don't?"
"Not at all," She shook her head, "You're one of the only people to tell Rachel what we're all thinking."
Hunter chuckled slightly, fiddling with his fingers, "Yeah, I guess. She just really pisses me off sometimes," He said, making the both of them laugh, "You don't have to tell me what's wrong. But if you ever need to talk-"
"I'm pregnant."
Hunter's eyebrows shot up in shock, "Finn's baby?"
Quinn nodded, more tears starting to fall, "I don't know what to do." She sobbed, falling into Hunter's arms, the boy immediately hugging her back.
"Have you told Finn yet?"
Quinn shook her head.
"Well, that's step one."

"She sounds like a right diva to me." Katie chuckled as she and Hunter were talking at their lockers.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm glad she quit," Hunter said, "There are no interruptions in rehearsal, but she's a great singer, I'm not all too sure if we can win anything without her."
Katie hummed in agreement, looking down the hallway, cocking an eyebrow in confusion.
"Is she okay?" The girl asked, nodding her head at Quinn, who was standing at her locker, holding her books, looking quite worn down.
Hunter followed her gaze, "Quinn? She, uh, she's just going through a lot right now. I'll, uh, I'll talk to you later, okay?" He said, as he closed his locker.
"Okay." Katie nodded with a smile, closing her own locker and walking over to some of her Freshman friends, as Hunter approached Quinn.
"Hey." He greeted her.
"Hey." Quinn said, tired.
"Wanna go to McDonald's?" He asked, "Always helps me when I'm down. And if you want, I'll drive your car for you."
Quinn sent him a weak smile, nodding, "Yeah. Yeah, I'd like that."
